Celebrity suicides always remind me that we're all human and we all have good and bad times. From what I have read, he was a class act, and I loved his work; Dead Poets Society, Awakenings, and of course, Mork & Mindy. RIP

This is just so sad.

Married for less than 3 years and his spouse just leaves the home w/o a goodbye even if he were still sleeping. Something I couldn't do even if we did sleep in separate rooms. 30 years....okay boredom. 3 years, its still fresh!

I grieve for his children. They were apart it seems. Hopefully they loved their daddy and are not to emotionally distraught. Nanu-Nanu! Mork is returning to Orsen now and we have 3 new movies yet to come from Robin.

@MarkG, I was thinking the same thing.

The world just got a lot less funny! "Fly! Be free!"

"The actor was partially clothed and suspended from a belt that was wedged between a closet door and the door frame. " https://celebrity.yahoo.com/blogs/celeb-news/sheriff-reveals-new-details-of-robin-williams-suicide-181808746.html

Curtain, exit stage lett.......

Just last month, Williams announced he was returning to a 12-step treatment program.

Another victim of the 12-step? If you are depressed, going into a treatment program that tells you that you are helpless and that God is your only savior is not a good thing to do.

RIP.

Wealth and fame but human nature is eternal and makes no distinction between the lowly and the elite.

I agree with MarkG and John Galt. Can't leave home without saying "good bye" and a kiss and a hug before steppin' out the door.

This new info just makes this tragedy all the worse...

Prayers for all who loved him....

If he slept in a separate room to begin with, he probably didn't want anyone coming in and waking him up.

I am reminded of the 1964 song by Bobby Goldsboro, the lyrics of which go: See the funny little clown See him laughing as you walk by Everybody thinks he's happy 'Cause you never see a tear in his eye No one knows he's crying No one knows he's dying on the inside 'Cause he's laughing on the outside, mm No one knows, no one knows

Williams was truly great. Even in his movies that flopped, he was great. I never even heard of the movie Bicentennial Man until I saw it on cable by chance a couple months ago. It was great. He was great, as always. I am really sad to hear he died, alone, after fighting depression and other demons. In 2014, 63 is too young.

Dark. must have been an awkward "goodnight dear,. I'll be up in a moment"

"When he sought treatment in 2006 after a relapse that followed 20 years of sobriety, he joked: “I went to rehab in wine country to keep my options open.”

Har! Robin, if you could hear me, I'd like to say you made me and countless millions of others laugh and cry. I hope you are in a good place.

I miss you Robin! Thanks for making me laugh again and again and again...

I think we all lost a friend yesterday.

I do not think he wanted to die, instead he just wanted to end the pain. He was trapped in the pain too much too long while he was making us laugh. How sad.

My heart is split open and wounded deeply for the loss.

" 30 years....okay boredom"

Get real!!! after 30 years if you left without seeing each other, it's called knowing each other. And you would know that something isnt quite right in this sort of circumstance. While I agree with the rest of what your saying, I dont think that gives you the right to be derrogative of marriage, and in this case women. Robyn Williams made many a statement about how he thought women deserved a better attitude than what you just did; at least he knew how to grow from his situations. It is definitely depressing when you see people around you who make the same mistakes, or have similar grievances or struggles, or whatever really, but they never take the opportunity to grow. Seriously, time and time again, that would be depressing.

I don't understand your logic maybe the wife left the home because she didn't want to disturb his sleep. You didn't and don't have the privilege neither do I know what was going on in his house. Perhaps his wife did give him a kiss on the fore heard and said softly good bye do we know this NO!! Besides those acts are a sign of insecurity, does one have to say goodbye to their spouse everything they leave a room as if they are not coming back. You even wrote you grieve for his children saying that they were APART IT SEEMS. Another assumption you don't know the relationship he had with his kids your entire post was assumptions, another assumption which is a wild one "Hopefully they loved their daddy" OMG then you say and are not emotionally distraught!!! That is a given!!! Wow twisted logic!!!
