I met some Coptic Christians in Europe who said they had to flee due to such "accidents".

Victim famlies have been protesting that this was murder and claiming a cover-up by the authorities.

Imbaba is a poor neighborhood (although this article characterizes it as a "working class" neighborhood.) It is entirely possible the wiring was ancient and jury-rigged. Many Coptic churches cannot get permits to renovate and upgrade to newer and safer conditions.

Given the nature of the instability engulfing the Near East/Middle East and the fact that Christians (particularly Coptics) are sometimes the subject of persecution by Muslim fanatics, it's easy to suggest that some terrorists are behind this.

Or maybe not. Either way, it's a terrible happening and may God/Allah admit the deceased souls into Heaven and may he bring peace and comfort for those who lost loved ones.
