The NTSB is sending a 10 person team to investigate the accident. Bus accidents get NTSB teams. Usually it is school buses, so Americans want the best investigators who can use federal experts to look at all aspects.

The Utah state police are also investigating. State police almost always do an excellent job determining root causes for accidents, but don't have the same power that NTSB does to recommend and enforce vehicle safety changes.

Bryce Canyon is an amazing place and definitely worth a trip, especially if you enjoy hiking. Take a good camera.
