The United States does not take sides in elections.

say what?

As we have seen “the United States” cant even stop taking sides in their own elections so of course they meddle in others.

cant think of a medium to high profile world election where it wasn’t obvious who the US wanted to win. .

20 years is a dictator, not a president.

You ignore the Russian meddling so kinda odd you single the US out.

Not a crime to have a favorite.

I should add, your heroes, the repubs, try to drain everything out of the overseas aid from the US. Not sure where the US would find the money to run an influence campaign abroad.

CIA funding. state department funding.

The CIA is not going to want to waste its budget on a marketing campaign. The state department as well.

So Erdogan will lose and it’s a free and fair election?

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

I'm guessing that all the comments about how only a loser, or a desperate extremist would make such a claim are unaware that Kilicdaroglu claimed that Erdogan was working with President Putin to remain in power a few days ago.

If it’s so common there is even a Wikipedia entry about something, then yeah it happens. A lot.

even media in Japan knows.

the U.S. and the Soviet Union (and subsequently Russia) engaged in 117 covert or overt foreign electoral interventions to help or hinder candidates or parties between 1946 and 2000, with the U.S. accounting for 81 of these cases (or 69% of the total).

Twitter Global Government Affairs

In response to legal process and to ensure Twitter remains available to the people of Turkey, we have taken action to restrict access to some content in Turkey today.

We have informed the account holders of this action in line with our policy. This content will remain available in the rest of the world.

Yeah, it is without any doubt just mere coincidence that Erdogan got Twitter to block people in Turkey from accessing certain content right before the election. Can't have them read any stuff that might sway them not to vote for him.

The election monitors will determine the fairness of the election and I’ll go with what they say.
