Putin is the main threat to Russia.

Given that the last Gallup 'World Poll' had the population of basically every country included in it saying that the US was the main threat to them, Putin is merely acknowledging a truth everyone knows.

Who else could be its worse enemy? NATO or the EU as conglomerates?

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Richard, these same people are clamoring to America

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

US just grounded all it F35 due defect in the ejection seat, when had Russia been a great sea power, all those sunken relics of the Russian navy

Putin says United States is main threat to Russia

Says the man killing Ukranian civilians since February. Russia is the main threat to all of Europe.

Russia has never been a naval power.

America is.

Navy Day was canceled in the Black Sea drone attack.

As with the USSR, Russia's military adventures are bankrupting them. Ukraine will be the end of Russia as a global power.

Putin doesn't seem to realize that no country has any interest in invading Russia.

4 ( +16 / -12 )

You can always tell when Putin is feeling vulnerable. It’s when he threatens to nuke everyone and brags about his “unbeatable” weapons.

Truth is, he has shot his wad in Ukraine and his army is spent just as Ukraine has new weapons that actually work and make a difference coming on line.

2 ( +13 / -11 )

Oh, I feel so sorry for Putin (NOT!!).

No naval day, no Kyiv occupation, no more bridges, no more, no more ....

Well, part of his Black Sea fleet is playing submarine already. More will follow.

As with the USSR, Russia's military adventures are bankrupting them. Ukraine will be the end of Russia as a global power.

Putin doesn't seem to realize that no country has any interest in invading Russia.

No country could invade Russia anyway. The only interest that other countries have on Russia is to try and destroy them economically which isn't working and which started long before Russia entered Ukraine.

If you saw how Russians were living today, you will see that all daily goods like food etc. is plentiful and cheap. Russia is self sufficient and can survive better than the west.

Ukraine is one of the most corrupt countries in Europe and has been harboring corrupt western elements for years. Why do you think the USA and the west is in such a panic to remove Russia out of Ukraine ?

Is it the illegal weaponised Bio labs, the money laundering, the stealing of Ukraine's recources ? The NATO threat after all the agreements with NATO and Russia were being broken ?

-4 ( +8 / -12 )

If Ukrainain do not pacify Russia in 3 month, lots of Ukrainain know what the hell,it will be like living under the thumbs of Putin, while living your delusional nationalism bravado

The Russian Navy History, America and Russia --------

Not known to the socialist indoctrinated American people, this report notes, is that during the 84th anniversary year of Navy Day, in 1780, it saw Russian Empress Catherine the Great refusing a bribe from British King George III to interfere in the American Revolution, saw her continuing to trade with the 13 former colonies, and she proclaimed the policy of armed neutrality, which meant that Russian ships would fight back if the British navy tried to stop them from crossing the Atlantic—then during the 167th anniversary year of Navy Day, in 1863, it saw Russian Czar Alexander II sending Russian fleet warships to New York City and San Francisco to prevent British and French from invading the United States during the American Civil War to divide up between them.  ( Sorcha Faal )

Threat . . . No!

Barrier . . . Yes!

5 ( +10 / -5 )

So, vic.M, what do you want to tell us?

Russians can't be bribed?

Russians are neutral?

Russians don't interfere?

Russians prevent conflicts from increasing?

Well, that's what I have to assume reading your post.

Any connection to what is going on in Ukraine now?

So, vic.M, what do you want to tell us?

Russians can't be bribed? Bribery seems to work well in the west.

Russians are neutral? They try to make friends

Russians don't interfere? Who interfered in Iraq, Afghanistan and many other places around the world ?

Russians prevent conflicts from increasing? Yes, stopping the slaughter of more than 14,000 citizens living in the Donabass regions over the last 8 years.

Well, that's what I have to assume reading your post.

Any connection to what is going on in Ukraine now? No, because this post is mainly about the Russian Navy.

Putin is a high level martial arts master who understands “the code”. He is a passionate, intelligent leader, a member of the UNSC and G20. He believes in honor and justice and unlike Clinton and Trump, he has never visited Epsteins island or house. He believes in solid virtue, discipline and justice. His approval rating is 85% compared to Biden’s 25-36%. He is not controlled by oil, arms or drug companies.

his weak point is dealing with corruption in Russia, which is similar to Ukraine.

For world peace he has taken on US backed al quaeda and al nutraceuticals terrorist organizations making the world a safer place.

so today’s Navy Day is a tribute to, with from China, are the champions of a better world.

Russia ranks at 70 out of 167 nations on the Legutem Prosperity Index.

Per capita income around $ US 12000 per annum.

Yeah baby...just kicking it !!!!!

3 ( +10 / -7 )

Putin believes in "honour and justice "

Vlad, is that you ?

4 ( +10 / -6 )

Rodney,

which "code" does he understand? The code of destruction?

Virtue, discipline and justice? Tell me which virtues, what kind of discipline and justice. (By the way, it should be injustice!)

85% approval rating by those who support him, right. That doesn't include the whole Russian population.

Not controlled by ... - yeah, right, because he controls them.

Dealing with corruption - the one who is the most corrupt?

And maybe, since you admire all his achievements so much, in case you are not yet, but how about moving to Russia. I'm sure they will welcome you with open arms!

I subscribe to the “hat size” theory. That is, militaries that are incompetent, corrupt or some combination thereof try to hide their incompetence with shiny medals and really big hats. NK is probably the best example but the”mighty” Russian navy….I mean look at those hats!

That’s all you can eat at the sirloin stockade dinner plate - big.

What are they compensating for?

Competence. Shhh…. Don’t ruin it for them.

Russia will never be a modern naval power. It will always play third fiddle to China's second fiddle to US number one for strength and highest technology in the navy.

The world has little trust in Russia or China to do what is right or in the best interest of others. There are certainly nations with no love for, or trust in the US as well. The world has nations at both extremes and those in the center that are sometimes swayed one way or the other.

I admit that while Trump was in charge of the US I had little faith in it for the first time in my lifetime. Showing that leadership counts and getting the wrong leader can be disastrous as it is currently for both Russia and China. Biden is by no means an inspiring figure, but he is the best that was on offer by far.

Leaders can change nations and can lead for good, for bad or do not much of anything.

Putin is a poor leader, as history will reflect, even Russian history will eventually say the same after he is gone.

Russia has a few hypersonic missiles. Not enough to outfit all of its forces and so not enough to win a war with. It will take decades before they have their forces armed and stockpiles of these missiles to fight a winning war with them. They will naturally threaten to use the few they have, but they can do nothing constructive with the few they have.

Russia has a money problem, a supply issue and can not build much of its current arsenal without the return of its world wide supply lines.

Russia is trying to expand its borders closer to NATO and is encouraging others to apply for NATO membership thanks to its hostile invasion of it's neighbor Ukraine.

Russia will remain lost and adrift as long as Putin remains in charge. There is no danger from any nation to invade Russia with the possible exception of China itself that has ongoing border disagreements with Russia.

Putin is looking for danger in the wrong area. The US will defend its interests and those of allies. Russia should have become an ally of the US while it had the opportunity. Sadly it seems to prefer a one party system that pretends to have elections with no chance of anyone else winning.

Ukraine is one of the most corrupt countries in Europe

That could well be, but shouldn't surprise anyone given Ukraine was once part of the USSR, one of the most corrupt empires in history. Look how Putin and his oligarchs have got so rich from buying and selling off parts of what was the USSR. And today some 'Russians' living in Ukraine have flown the hammer and sickle, no doubt pleasing Putin no end, a little male with a Napoleon complex who seems hellbent on being a more ruthless dictator than even Stalin, one of the nastiest leaders in history. I doubt information is available, given how closely Putin's regime control information, but I wonder whether the wealth gap is much different in Putin's Federation from the days of the USSR in Stalin's time. Russia has made huge sums of money selling off its oil, gas and other resources, how much has Putin allowed to trickle down to the Russian people, especially those who are not part of the Russian ruling caste.

Ukraine is one of the most corrupt countries in Europe

This is the line told to us by the same people who claim a bunch of Nazis overthrew the previous regime (which was installed by Puitie himself) and replaced him with a Jew. Yes, you read that correctly: The Nazis placed a Jew in charge. That’s their actual claim.

More like “WAS one of the most corrupt countries in Europe.” That’s exactly why Zelenski was elected. Public disgust with corruption as embodied by the Putin-installed regime.

Now Ukraine doesn’t even merit honorable mention beside the likes of Russia, Belarus and the other post-soviet rust-bucket backwaters.
