More like throughout the whole presidency, maybe his life. The pandemic is just the situation where his disdain for science had the most immediate and tragic consequences for the USA.

All under Trump's watch. Trump's son-in-law Jared bragged that:

No Trump healthcare plan, though he promised in 2016 he had one and has promised the same thing several times since then.
Anti-doctor, anti-science. His followers cheer his attacks on reason while arming themselves to protect against alien reptiles.

The Public Health Professionals know he’s sacrificing others to save himself. They realize he’s going to lose. This is them starting to ignore his idiocy.

Kushner said Trump’s problem early on was that he had “over confident idiots” in his ear.
Seems like a fairly accurate description of the problem So when are he, daddy’s little crush, and JR moving back to NYC?

Donald Trump is insane

Jared Kushner literally said that Trump was "taking America back from doctors". Trump doesn't care about or understand science. He would make a fine right-wing JT poster.
However many are required. Gender is a social construct, like money, or race.

Maybe they’re busy about the coronavirus. I read the article twice, didn’t see anything about gender.

Ah, the classic refrain of the Trump supporter. "I didn't do any research, and then I made my mind up". You love to see it. At least you can't vote in the USA.
But since you love getting your political views from comedians so much, what do you think of these?

The existence of something isn't "science". Science is the application of knowledge to the physical world. The things you are describing do exist, yes. But just as "the grass is green" isn't science, "chromosomes exist" isn't science.
It isn't. As above, gender is a social construct. Like money. If all the humans on earth died tomorrow, money would no longer exist. There would be round bits of metal with pictures carved on them, and pieces of paper with pictures printed on them, but those objects would not be units of currency or exchange.

Intersex people exist. Sorry, pal.

I am not American. Have lived in Japan the last 15 years and counting, and I have never cared for American politics, or any country’s polities for that matter.
I am originally from one of the countries often derided by Trump, especially during his first presidential campaign.
When Trump was campaigning and said stuff about my country, I actually never felt it insulting or deriding in any way, I read what news articles were available about the issue in the news sites I usually consume and felt odd how the articles writers were often more insulted or critic of the comments than me. But for me it stopped at that, just a bit of my periodic dose of news. Then when he won, it didn't surprise as much that he won, but it surprised me that it actually was allowed to happen by the puppeteers of the world.
But it continued to bug me and eventually annoy me how much effort and eventual blatant disdain the mass media had for him, the lambasting, misleading and biased bigoted coverage was at first off-putting and then just blatantly disdainful. I mean I had followed in the same way other presidencies: I remember the mocking of George B. occasional gaffes and some stern criticism of his handling of 9/11, how bland and off-putting was Obama, but with Trump, this was different. I was not realistic to believe how dreadful the media paints it.
Anyway, without actually looking to, or actually trying to find out more, I came across different types of views and coverages and was able to make up my own mind.
And through it all I have for the first time in my life learned about the true workings of US politics and the sad state of media currently.
So just be sane and truly really try to see what you haven't seen, see what else is out here to see and consider. Which is a lot.
You can enjoy some comedy for a start (these are NOT how I began to see the bigger picture, but where a nice find this week):

Science is not "the application of knowledge to the physical world".
Science is a sytem a method of gaining and obtaining such knowledge that you claim above. The strict application of the scientific method is what makes something scientific or not.
Science is thus, a human effort, a human construct (as a method). What has been proved by that method may or may not be a human cosntruct, but we can only concluded from what constitutes our set reality. (insofar that we cannot know for sure anything beyond our human experience).
If what you are playing is a game of words, saying "gender" is a construct, then what is biological is that "sex" does exist, just 2 of them.

The classic misleading of the left. You are reinterpreting my words and thus misrepresenting what I meant.
I said "Anyway, without actually looking to, or actually trying to find out more, I came across different types of views and coverages and was able to make up my own mind."
This means I was not actually at first interested in finding out more or researching, As I came across different types of informations I started doing the research actively. Eventually gaining my own conclusion. But, in fairness this last part of "actively reasearching" was not made evident in my previous comment. However, it does say "I came across different types os views and coverages", which is in itself different from "didn't do any research".
Anyway, I have clarified above that I did evetually do active research.
I will check the videos you post later tonight. Hope you watch the ones I shared as well.
