The former cricket star turned Islamist politician has claimed that his ouster was illegal and a conspiracy by Sharif and Washington

Well the fact is that his ouster suits the US considering his sharp views on how much the War on Terror had damaged Pakistan.

His brand of politics thrived on exploiting the substantial anti-US sentiment in Pakistan, so even if this was not one of the well known CIA coups it's not a stretch to say that the US endorsed the behind the scenes actions by Pakistan's military which kicked him out of power.
