Why do we only hear about strict interpretation of the Quran when it advocates violence? I'm sure there are situations where love and tolerance are dictated. I hope.

sensei258,

Islam, according to Moslems, is the religion of peace. As evidenced by this refusal to touch a container that has been touched by a Christian, then beating the woman. Religions, what a blessing.

Hard to believe anyone claiming Islam is a religion of peace, when you read such things as this. Nothing less then a state sponsored inquisition of people who don't believe with you. My question is, where is the law in Pakistan, that forbids blaspheming against Christianity. Hell, just imagine if Christian countries passed such a law... Wouldn't that be interesting.

Hard to believe the state religion in Pakistan still has apologists on the multi-culti Left in the West, even after something as barbaric as the death penalty for blasphemy.

Do we have to endure these constant attacks on all of Islam? Well all of Islam is not behind this. Its Pakistani law, and her accusers are a bunch of crazy villagers.

Or the broken record and post a list of other countries where people are officially threatened with death for blasphemy against Islam.

hottomales, lest you forget the people that have been and still are being persecuted and executed in Iran, Iraq, Egypt, Maldives and how odd that these were also the same countries that tried and failed and yet are still trying to push the blasphemy laws at the UN. Its not a broken record, but what is actually happening. Must be nice blinders you think everyone else wears.

Or the broken record...

The only broken record is the posts by those trying to convince us this isn't about Islam.

You're right hottomales. I too am sick of people degrading this beautiful religion just because of 9/11, murder, rape, beatings, threats in different parts of the world. Just because Muslims can't get on with Christians, Jews, Buddhists, and atheists doesn't mean it's the Muslims' fault. If the infidels converted they would soon realize that Islam really is a religion of peace!

Murder, rape, beatings, threats, intolerance and terrorism also happen in non-Muslim countries committed by non-Muslim people. Just because others don't wear their religion on their sleeve does not mean they did not do it for religious reasons. All the above happen for many reasons in each case. Mostly you lot just prefer to emphasize the religious if Islam is involved and the politics if Christianity is involved. Your bias is as obvious at it is stale.

I got problems with the Islamic world too, but the simple minded approach you guys offer by just blaming it all on Islam is not useful, interesting or true. Its just hate on repeat mode. If you don't stop on your own, you should be made to stop as per the precedent that so many the others that have been made to stop.

Point here is not rape, murders etc but when all these things happen FREQUENTLY in ISLAMIC countries then there is something wrong. These things do happen in other countries but at lower frequency, that is the reason ISLAM is blamed.Well the clerics also are not helping there cause, when they should show the world the true preaching of prophet they are showing these things which polarize world opinion as people do not have time to understand Islam.

Tell that to the Pakistani muslim government, then. This woman got snared by the infamous article 295-C in the Pakistani penal code, which punishes by death any insult against islam. This applies to the whole population. A similar law protecting e.g. Jesus or Buddha does, unsurprisingly, not exist.

Article 295-C is a sword hanging of every non-muslim in Pakistan. All a friendly muslim neighour needs to do is to accuse you of blasphemy, and voila.

So how do you blank islam out of the picture?

Molenir:

" My question is, where is the law in Pakistan, that forbids blaspheming against Christianity. "

There ain´t one, and of course also nothing protecting Hindus, or even the moderate Ahmediyya branch of islam. Articles 295 A-D protect only Islam, the Koran, Mohammed, and Mohammeds fellow warriors from any kind of critical word. Surprised?

" Hell, just imagine if Christian countries passed such a law... Wouldn't that be interesting. "

LOL! Just imagine the hysterical screaming here.
