Many American presidents have visited the monarch, but just two — George W. Bush and Barack Obama — were honored with a state visit and its accompanying pomp and pageantry, including a horse-drawn carriage ride and a royal banquet at Buckingham Palace.

This is the only reason Trump has pushed for this invitation. His ego cant allow himself to accept that Obama has been given things he cant have!

Trump does not deserve this honor!

I see a picture in my mind of some liberal angrily searching for his air pump to start filling up “Trump baby” again. Need a bigger one for this special occasion, the last one is too small.

-13 ( +5 / -18 )

Sure hope there's no rain to prevent the President from attending the D day remembrances.

12 ( +17 / -5 )

Great for President Trump!

MAGA!

Certainly one of the dinner conversations can be why the UK helped the Obama administration spy on the Trump campaign.

I’d be more interested in the conversation about why Trump retweeted dodgy videos from a known racist group based in the UK. This gave these fringe idiots real publicity. He didn’t really apologise for this. It’s about time for him to man up and do the decent thing.

Incidentally, a YouGov poll in the UK revealed that 67% of people in the UK saw Trump as a poor or terrible leader.

13 ( +17 / -4 )

And what percent see their own leader as poor and terrible?

-11 ( +4 / -15 )

I expect he'll be greeted with a plethora of baby blimp balloons with his caricature likeness and moronic combover emblazoned on every one, along with a dangling leg with a foot infested with bone spurs.

Agreed. The last one was far too small to adequately express how petty, childish, and unsophisticated Trump is. The next one needs to be at least quadruple the size.

And what percent see their own leader as poor and terrible?

Irrelevant.

Why this website always hate Trump? Look like CNN....

Why this website always hate Trump? Look like CNN...

You're confusing the media doing its job - reporting on Donny's words and actions - with hating him.

13 ( +16 / -3 )

And what percent see their own leader as poor and terrible

Glad you asked.

The same pollsters saw 49% of Brits have a negative opinion of May. Only 27% have a positive opinion. 67% see Trump unfavorably with 21% positive.

He’s more unpopular in the UK than a leader who is a strong contender for the worst UK PM since WW2.

Hope that was helpful.

13 ( +16 / -3 )

Seeing how it went last time, and the fact that Trump's dementia is getting worse... This is gonna be a disaster.

10 ( +13 / -3 )

Spits in hand and "put 'er ere Lizzie!"

7 ( +8 / -1 )

And what percent see their own leader as poor and terrible?

Shiny squirell over there! Changing the subject again. Do you also want to talk about nepotism? Insider trading? Being bought off by S. Adelson (and other .01%ers?) etc. etc. etc.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

@"misakopee

Why this website always hate Trump? Look like CNN...."

Almost ANY nonU.S. website will project distaste for trump because his behaviors are despicable, particularly toward our 'trusted' allies, and his kowtowing to our backstabbing parasites. It's only those within his U.S. propaganda cloud who say positive things about him and, for many, say them quietly or with hesitation. And, for many in the U.S. the 'hateful' part is just simply describing his behavior as it actually rolls out. And do you think that Russia's 'enthusiasm' for trump was their concern for the good of the U.S.? If you were Russia, who would you want to see leading your greatest competitor, someone who is highly competent and you're afraid of, or someone you know will disrupt your competitor and damage them? But many Americans chose to vote with the Russians and here we are.

TRUMP????

trump had no comments or actions about this, so what “own words” are you attacking today?

You're confusing the media doing its job - reporting on Donny's words and actions - with hating him.

To upstage Michelle Obama, will he try to give the queen a hug?

4 ( +5 / -1 )

The folks across the pond are so pssed over the Tory Brexshtshow that they will be in no mood to suffer another visit by this ferret-haired fool gladly. The unwelcome Trump will get a roasting for the obnoxious narcissism he never fails to display with his pathetic rendition of POTUS abroad.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

I've never supported citicizing a US President when he goes overseas, not even Bush Jr, but this Imposter of a President deserves all the insults he will get. Bring out the Orange Man-Baby balloon - the bigger the better.

This criminal will no doubt again embarrass the US as a nation, and show himself to be a moron with the understanding of a fifth grader that everyone knows he is...

He's an absolute disgrace and embarrassment...he should be hosting his failed reality TV show rather than representing the US on the world stage...

Prime Minister Theresa May invited Trump just days after he took office in January 2017

I don’t know which is more depressing: that Donald Trump is still in office, or that Mrs May is.

8 ( +10 / -2 )

After his state visit to France, he wanted a military parade a la Bastille day.

This time he will want a crown like Lizzie.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

So everyone here mad at Trump because.....the Queen invited him for a state visit?

-12 ( +2 / -14 )

So everyone here mad at Trump because

cutting ties with allies

increased military spending

9,000+ lies

insider trading

corrupt business dealings

nepotism

easily bought off (see S. Adelson)

etc. etc. etc.

12 ( +13 / -1 )

Fair enough, England wants to educate this idiot on how you feed guests correctly. Hint, it's not fast food...Although it would be funny if they served him Mcdonalds and said we got you you're favorite food.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

*So everyone here mad at Trump because.....the Queen invited him for a state visit?*

The Queen didn't invite him. Theresa May did.

"This is a president who has systematically assaulted all the shared values that unite our two countries, and unless Theresa May is finally going to stand up to him and object to that behavior, she has no business wasting taxpayers' money on all the pomp, ceremony and policing costs that will come with this visit," said Emily Thornberry, foreign affairs spokeswoman for Britain's main opposition Labour Party.

And that's why people are mad.

Trump already disrespected the Queen the last time he met her, May shouldn't waste taxpayers money by giving more honors like that.

11 ( +12 / -1 )

I'm sure the queen will enjoy every minute.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Yhe Queen should refuse to dine with das Donald!

6 ( +7 / -1 )

The wailing and gnashing of teeth over this is glorious.

People who have contempt for the Queen and royals now acting as if they always loved her.

So fake!

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

I would like to wish President Trump and first lady Melania a safe and happy trip.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

I was there when Bush came. After Blair, he was the most hated person in Britain. Although only about a million took to the streets, just about every household was disgusted.

Trump will be the same. I wonder who pays for all this pomp?

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Geez Zichi

Your saying even in your left wing vacuum world there's someone worst than Trump, well I'm shocked!!!! Shocked I say.

-10 ( +2 / -12 )

Royals! Make sure the dinner plate includes favourite British food 'Fish & Chips', if not enough for heavy guy, then 2nd and 3rd favourites 'British Chicken Tikka' and 'British Chinese Takeaway'.

But do not surprise him with 'British Burger', he might......(there goes some funny lines).

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Iinspector

Yeah he did say that, not his finest moment, I wonder what his wife said to him in private, the tape don't lie, Don........

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Must be a freaky weekend for the Royals! Good luck !

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Zichi, good post! Sadly it should not be necessary. But we now live in a polarised world that defines you either nuts or nuttier. I was moderated for saying something apparently I should not have said? It's really getting to the point that wearing a McDonald's uniform makes you superior. What the hell happened to informed opinions or common sence. Too left? Dark clouds for the future. Winter is coming.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

trump had no comments or actions about this, so what “own words” are you attacking today?

None, which you would have known had you read the posts upon which you are trying to comment. Unlike conservatives and their incessant need to attack liberals/Dems constantly, I don't have a compulsion to attack Trump, so I only do it when it's relevant.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Cricy

The battle between Left and right has been described as the new racial devide and will only get worse as the right wing parties gain more power around the world with the Left trying to stop it.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

@William Bjornson

our backstabbing parasites

Elaborate?

@Chip Star

Unlike conservatives and their incessant need to attack liberals/Dems constantly, I don't have a compulsion to attack Trump, so I only do it when it's relevant.

Yep. Right ...

@YuriOtani

Yhe Queen should refuse to dine with das Donald!

No one here knows whose idea it really was. I wonder if the powers that be in the UK asked her then stuck around long enough to hear her answer.

@lincolnman

I've never supported citicizing a US President when he goes overseas, not even Bush Jr, but

”...never...” Good. “...not even Bush Jr...” A better touch. Putting that “but” where you did spoiled it. You could have gone on and on deflecting anticipated criticism.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Yep. Right ...

Read any of my posts and you'll see that I don't suddenly veer into attacking Teump when he's not relevant to a conversation.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Does he know McDonalds is a little bit different in the UK than America?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

“Trump and his wife, Melania, have accepted the queen's invitation to visit June 3-5, the White House and the palace announced.”

from this actual article.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

None of which are contained in this article. Yet Trump being attacked here. For what? Accepting the Queens invitation?!

cutting ties with allies

increased military spending

9,000+ lies

insider trading

corrupt business dealings

nepotism

easily bought off (see S. Adelson)

etc. etc. etc.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Can't wait to vote for President Trump again.

Four more years. Four more years

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

It is now up to the British people to stop this from happening. It is up to the British people to tell their politicians that they want their sovereignty back. Don't leave the EU just to gain a new master, the US.  Once the UK leaves the EU it will come under the economic control of  the US unless the people start to control their politicians, unless they start making their politicians accountable.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Go Trump - 2020 is in sight.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

I see a picture in my mind of some liberal angrily searching for his air pump to start filling up “Trump baby” again. Need a bigger one for this special occasion, the last one is too small.

I long for this exactly every morning when I have my morning coffee. Good, hope he makes the most of this trip.

Go Trump - 2020 is in sight

Pretty much.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

The confidence of Trumpophiles is hilarious given they have zero idea what is going to happen between now and the election. It's not advisable to celebrate too early.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Yeah that 98.1 percent chance of winning any “no path to 270” didn’t work out so well for you guys. So we won’t be overconfident.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

I know Trump can lose. Just your love of identity politics tells me you likely won’t pick the type of candidate who can beat him.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Hope they lock him up in the Tower.

Great for President Trump!

MAGA!

What does this mean and why is it so important for Trumpists to say it at every opportunity?

2 ( +3 / -1 )

The problem for the dinner conversation is that even though the Queen has not personally requested these guests, she is trained to be diplomatic and to avoid showing like or dislike. Trump on the other hand is probably not too bothered about diplomacy and will say whatever he feels like saying. I wonder how long the meal will last.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

I wonder if the queen has any feelings about Trump’s claim that he could have ‘nailed’ the dead mother of two of her grandkids. It has been said that Elizabeth didn’t particularly like Diana, but Trump’s egregious trash would have debauched a public toilet.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Also, it’d be amiss not to mention that by meeting President Trump at Buckingham Palace (again) means the Queen is offering the royal seal of approval.

Another four years of a Trump presidency is assured!
