The Palestinian death toll from the war between Israel and Hamas has soared past 25,000

Far surpassing the civilian loss of life on both sides in the Ukrainian conflict.Hundreds of billions of dollars of weapons given to Ukraine by the West.

Not a single penny for Palestinians, not even bulletproof vests.

exactly.

Palestinian death toll in Gaza surpasses 25,000 while Israel announces death of another hostage

For every Palestinian that being massacred is that correlated with hostage that going home alive? After passing 25,000 what is the next target? 30,000 ?

Palestinian death toll in Gaza surpasses 25,000 while Israel announces death of another hostage

> Israel's military announced the death of 19-year-old Sgt. Shay Levinson, who was among the hostages. His date of death was given as Oct. 7

PalestinianThe war began with Hamas’ attack in southern Israel on Oct. 7. Palestinian militants killed some 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and took about 250 hostages back to Gaza.

Can AP make a tittle and article more pro Israel Bias?

I can just hear the conversation in the AP editorial room and the Israeli handler now:

Journalist and editor:

Hey they just announced 25000 dead, what to we do?

Israeli handler:

Here put this one more hostage dead!

Editor:

Great! When did they died and how?

Israeli handler:

Well.... October 7th but no one will really read that part property so bury it lower down and remember to repeat they started it in October!

Editor :

Great ideas.

This war started long before October 7th and it has been the Palestinians being kidnapped and killed in the thousands long before!

Just between 2009 and October 7th over 6000 killed by the IDF and over 600 killed by illegal settlers in the west bank in 2023 alone before October 7th.

More than 6,000 Palestinians held in secret prisons for months and years without any charges or trials.

Keep up the propaganda AP you are on the wrong side of history.

It's right. Because Russia is not at war with Ukraine, but with NATO countries. We need to look at the root of the problem.

“The Middle East is a tinderbox. We must do all we can to prevent conflict igniting across the region," Guterres added. "And that starts with an immediate humanitarian cease-fire to relieve the suffering in Gaza.”

U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres harps on continuously about humanitarian "ceasefires" and two states solution. referring to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refusal to accept a two-state solution unacceptable.

Hamas 7th October atrocity, the hostage taking, and subsequent declaration of war, game changed the whole future of any possibility of a two state solution.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he stressed in his conversation with U.S. President Joe Biden on Friday that he rejects Hamas demands for a cease-fire, Israeli forces' withdrawal and the release of Palestinians held by Israel in exchange for the remaining hostages. He said that agreeing means another devastating Hamas attack “would only be a matter of time.”

Netanyahu is totally convinced ideologically, that war is the only course of action for Israel survival.

To completely eliminate the enemy, Hamas, Hezbollah, and eventually Iran.

The question, has Netanyahu paranoia convinced the Israeli people?

If his actions, some would contend deranged, are unable to secure the release of the remaining hostages, then the people will throw him out of office.

Yes this Bias was very very apparent in yesterday's article:

Best example:

More than 100 hostages, mostly women and children, were released during a brief November cease-fire in exchange for the release of Palestinian women and minors imprisoned by Israel.

Notice in most cases if they are Israeli the western news uses the word "CHILDREN" far more sympathetic and shock provoking but they will switch to "minors" when referring to Palestinians as a way to distance Israel from the more impactful word " Children".

And we have certain people here that do the same and it us not coincidental.

5 ( +10 / -5 )

Peace can be seen in previously warring countries....Scotland and England, England and France, England and Spain in historical times....The US and Vietnam ,in more recent times....even after the breakup of Yugoslavia...now opposing elements are reconciled despite atrocities committed by all actors in that conflict.

So, not accurate to say ""peace is impossible between Israel and Palestine "...it needs new resolve and new players willing to negotiate.

Its the only way forward.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

The war in Tigray Ethiopia, the Ethiopian military and partners killed 3 million in Tigray.

How did they get away with it without any major news on the atrocities being done?

Well by cutting all access to the outside world, cutting off cell and internet and by targeting journalist.

Israel learned from that and has been doing the same, cutting all outside access to information in Gaza and in the past few months Israel has killed more journalist than in all previous conflicts in the past 10 years worldwide combined!

Think about that Israel has killed more journalist in a few months than Tigray/Ethiopia war, Ukraine/Russia war Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Congo, Libya, Armenia/Azerbaïdjan, Turkey/Kurds, Islamic state, Myanmar, etc...abd more since 2013!

This is not a coincidence!

It is unbelievable that Hamas is still holding hostages. I don't think Israel will stop anytime soon unless they free all hostages. It's about time for the Palestinian people to urge Hamas leaders to let those hostages go to end this horrible war.

-1 ( +5 / -6 )

This is false.

> BBC reporters, for example, freely roam and report from Gaza.

> The reason they are able to do so is because of Israel's precision bombing. Israel sends out pamphlets letting people know where and when they will strike, and so have been able to minimize civilian casualties.

Strange:

Time magazine, the new Yorker, the Guardian, NPR, even AP, Reuters, Los Angeles times, Washington post, committee to protect journalists, democracy now, France 24, the Bureau of investigative journalism, Haaretz Daily Newspaper (and israeli news paper), etc...

All disagree with you!

So your claim VS everyone else!

I will go with the rest of the world on this.

I guess the title worked!

I took your attention away from the 25000 dead mostly women and children!

And apparently you also missed the part where Mileikowsky (AKA Netanyahu) has basically said the war isn't going to stop even if all "hostages" are released or accounted for.

So please people stop with the fake "release the hostages and end the war".

Mileikowsky (AKA Netanyahu) has already said that will not end the war!

-1 ( +5 / -6 )

> Notice in most cases if they are Israeli the western news uses the word "CHILDREN" far more sympathetic and shock provoking but they will switch to "minors" when referring to Palestinians as a way to distance Israel from the more impactful word " Children".

You are wrong again.

Unless you believe the BBC is not part of "the western news" .

Even their title uses the word "CHILDREN".

UN says Gaza becoming a 'graveyard for children', as Israeli strikes intensify

https://www.bbc.com/news/live/world-middle-east-67324897

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

And admitting the IDF has killed tens of thousands of innocence children!

You can't have it both ways!

So you admit the western news is not bias, and they do use the word children.

And as I've shown, Hamas uses children--even on the frontline to fight.

So, of course when a Hamas terrorist is killed, if the terrorist is a child recruit, 15 years old, 16 years old, 17 years old, nonetheless he is a Hamas terrorist, and is not innocent as you blindly claim.

The recorded number of dead has always been an undercount because at least 5,000 corpses lie under the rubble. These victims are never mentioned at all by the Israelis, but although invisible to the eyes of the world they are not forgotten.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

Another tragic GAZA milestone as Mid East proxy wars expand, and risk of terror attacks grows globally.

Shipping and energy companies will clearly benefit from above growing chaos, while consumers will take suffer more inflation and damage to supply chains etc.

It also seems rapidly growing NK and Iranian weapons industries are set to reap more financial windfalls.

Finally, HUGE political costs to those backing Israel, 2.3 billion Muslims don't like it, and neither do youth voting blocks, who oppose GAZA Genocide.

Let's just hope it two-state solution happens sooner rather than later...see above!

Hamas continues recruiting child soldiers: Where is the condemnation

Hamas doesnt need to recruit anyone. Every time Israel kills a parents, sibling, or spouse they create an anti-Israeli extremist. You dont need to be taught to hate the person who killed the people you love, and destroyed your home, and your future prospects, it comes very naturally.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

I guess 25000 dead are not enough for Israeli goverment.

Keep the bloodshed going i hope the blood satisfy u r thirst.

what a shame......

2 ( +6 / -4 )

Hamas doesnt need to recruit anyone.

Yet, they recruit children. So do their Houthi brothers.

Hamas has summer camps for potential child Hamas fighters!

Sickening.

Who’s afraid of Hamas summer camps?

I guess 25000 dead are not enough for Israeli goverment.

It's not, because Israel has more Hamas terrorists to eliminate. This is a war.

Nah, Antique is right.

Nope. Already proved it false. A Google search for "children killed in gaza" gives 170,000,000 results. "minors killed in gaza" show 13,700,000 results--and the title in the first 100 articles includes the words "child" or children".

Disagree? Prove me wrong.

Release the hostages!

You stole something (or someone) that clearly doesn’t belong to you.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

This is a war, Casualties occur in every war. But who is Israel fighting?

70% of Palestinians support the Hamas October 7 massacre on Israel. 15% are somewhere in the middle. Ony 15% say they are against it.

If you can’t get your head around how most Palestinians support the kidnapping, rape and murder of women and children then you have a problem understanding the mindset of Palestinians and of Muslim society in general. These results by the way are from poll by Birzeit University.

You can accuse that university of many things but Zionism is not one of them. It is a palestinian university.

Think about this—there is not one political party or leader in the West that receives as much public support as Hamas.

So, Hamas=Palestinians. This is who Israel is fighting.

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

Who’s afraid of Hamas summer camps?

https://www.aljazeera.com/opinions/2021/8/2/whos-afraid-of-hamas-summer-camps

Zib, do you actually read any of this stuff? I recommend you go back and do so.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Agreed, Hamas should release the hundred they have and Israel the thousands they have.

This is wrong because Israel is holding prisoners, not hostages. Israel did not rape and murder and then kidnap any of these prisoners or their family members and friends. The Palestinian prisoners were not forcefully taken from a music festival.

In one of the prisoner-hostage exchange with Hamas, of the 39 Palestinian prisoners released, 8 of those had been convicted of attempted murder.

Meanwhile, hostages released by Hamas included infants, children under the age of 10, and elderly women.

The Anwra poll that zionist supporters love to bang on and on about.

The poll of a couple of hundred Palestinians.

The poll that showed the majority of Palestinians polled in Gaza did not support what happened on October 7th, despite half of those polled having been forced from their homes in Northern Gaza by Israeli airstrikes.

You also have to remember that the official position of Hamas is that the raids on October 7th were to capture hostages to use for bargaining, not to massacre a bunch of civilians. Take it as you will,

1 ( +4 / -3 )

No, you did not read fully what I wrote. *These results by the way are from poll by Birzeit University. *

*You can accuse that university of many things but Zionism is not one of them.*** It is a palestinian university.**

The poll of a couple of hundred Palestinians.

What makes it not a poll?

The poll that showed the majority of Palestinians polled in Gaza did not support what happened on October 7th,

No. 70% show they did support Hamas' October 7 massacre. Palestinians all over the world were handing out candy.

The Anwra poll that zionist supporters love to bang on and on about.

Wrong. How about this other poll* carried out by the *Ramallah-based Palestinian Centre for Policy and Survey Research,

In that poll 72 per cent of respondents backed the Hamas-led attack of October 7th

The poll of a couple of hundred Palestinians.

No, more than 1000.

*The survey was conducted from November 22nd-December 1st and involved personal interviews with 1,231 Palestinians*

Netanyahu polling about 15% approval inside Israel. He's toast, clearly prefers military march towards Gaza Genocide.

Not unlike Zelensky trying to hang on as Ukraine collapses in a hopeless military campaign. Lesson?

Power CORRUPTS Most, especially War Time Leaders.

Palestinian death toll in Gaza surpasses 25,000 while Israel announces death of another hostage

Not a surprise as the people of Gaza elected Hamas. They support Hamas. They support the murder of Israeli citizens. They send their children to Hamas summer camps where the "minors" learn how to shoot firearms, launch rockets, and to hate Israel. The mothers of these children further indoctrinate the children to want to kill the Jews. The mothers dance and give out candy to celebrate the deaths of Israelis.

The Palestinian Health Ministry doesn't even distinguish between deaths of civilians and deaths of Hamas terrorists. There is an obvious reason for this.

Agreed, Hamas should release the hundred they have and Israel the thousands they have.

> This is wrong because Israel is holding prisoners, not hostages.

Not according to the UN, amnesty international, or even the USA and EU governments.

6,000 plus being held prior to octobre 7th, half women and children, all taken by force from the West Bank, Gaza, etc...all taken by force form university campus, high schools businesses farms, etc..., all being held for months even years without ever being charged or put on trial

That makes then kidnapped and hostages!

Israel did not rape and murder and then kidnap any of these prisoners or their family members and friends.

Actually again not according to the UN and amnesty international, these kidnapping victims of tye IDF are regularly tortured and have been since long before October 7th. Hundreds have died during the "interrogations" AKA tortures.

The Palestinian prisoners were not forcefully taken from a music festival

No they are kidnapped from their schools homes place of work and places of worship in many cases after the IDF battles the Palestinians authority police defending it citizens.

The UN has had to investigate Israel nearly every year at least since 1995 and every report has the same conclusion Israel tortures Palestinians that are held without charges!

In the most recent release after exchanges of hostages.

12 Palestinians were released this included 6 "detainees" 3 of their family members held as "leverage" and 3 lawyers held for trying to get information and working to get their release long before October 7th.

A "prisoners" is a person charged with a crime, has a legal trial and has legal representation during a trial.

A hostage is a person held without charges, held as leverage to force somehow to do something and a hostage is taking lawyers trying to defend someone and holding them as leverage against the original hostages!

The above is what Israel does making these people hostages of the Israeli government not prisoners!
