It's Palestine's year. If political process is to be made in the region, it will require on peace and justice for the people in Palestine and their neighbours.

I wonder how many more terrorists acts the Palestinians will need to perpetrate before they can convince the international Left that they are the actual war criminals?

Double edged sword guys. double edged sword. Let them try it, but they'll also have to accept war crimes on their own end as well by the actions of Hamas and other terrorist groups operating out of Palestine. Nobody here with a brain believes Palestine is free from their own self perpetrated violence.

The single one issue that these so-called "Palestinians" (aka muslim Arab residents of Palestine) have is Israel, and will be Israel, as long as Israel exists.

Don´t hold your breath for Abbas mentioning the crimes and terrorism of either Hamas or the PA. What a hypocrite.

So how many Palestinians be tried on war crimes?

Double edged sword guys

Full and mutual accountability supervised by neutral third parties? Excellent!

As long as Hamas are also held accountable - sure why not. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. What's Iran's say in the matter? They'd happily see Israel wiped off the face of the earth, as would most of the Arab nations in the region. Where do you draw the line? I don't have the answer to that question.

So we might have terrorists taking governments to trial? It's just beyond silly.

So, SuperLib, all Palestinians are terrorists?

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Before their was an Israel their were other terrorists in Pallestine.

for all the people using the "terrorist" blame game here, do you even know what was going on there pre 1948 war? A good deal of terrorist attacks were perpetrated against the British army by Zionists (I use Zionist here to identify only radical Jews). 91 dead in one cold-blooded attack alone. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irgun

For most people over there, joining the ICC is a great move as it will (as some have pointed out here) act to restrain both sides ,or at least hopefully anyway.

So, SuperLib, all Palestinians are terrorists?

We all know there are uncontrollable parts of Palestine that openly engages in terrorism. Until they get under control, it's laughable to have the Palestinian government filing charges against other governments. These militants will continue to operate with impunity and drive the violence in the area while Abbas will take Israel to court. It's a joke.

“We want to complain. There’s aggression against us, against our land. The Security Council disappointed us,” Abbas said

Good. Israel has been sheltered by the U.S. veto power at the UNSC for far too long.

State Department spokesman Jeff Rathke said the U.S. was “deeply troubled” by the Palestinians’ “escalatory step.” He said it was “entirely counterproductive and does nothing to further the aspirations of the Palestinian people for a sovereign and independent state.”

LOL. Obama has had six years to "further the aspirations of the Palestinian people" and accomplished nothing. Except Israel keeps buidling new/expanding existing settlements. What has Obama done that was "productive"?
