All that potential overseas travel would give her real foreign experience, as opposed to staring at Canada and Russia from afar, if she can get away from the handlers, PR staff, spin doctors and others who would serve to isolate her and manipulate her for their own interests.

Palin is bush in a skirt. The USA has had enough of stupid republicans trying to run government, but always failing miserably. Reagan, Bush and Palin? No way. The country would collapse into a depression. Oh, sorry, its in one now I guess due to the bush inept administration.

I never like Sarah Palin... but I think that all these invitations is to make fun of her... she proved before in debates and other speeches that she did have dumb answers.

Few days before nov 4, I watched Letterman, he really took many phrases said by Palin, and she was ridiculized.

For her own sake, she shouldn't appear in these shows. She will lose more credibility (if she had one)

And for those that say that Palin doesn't practice socialism, taking taxes from rich companies and re-distributing wealth is socialism...or at least it is perceived as socialism by many right-wing U.S. people

Your upset about Alaska "Spreading the wealth".....????????

I must have missed the part where I typed that I was upset. I merely pointed out the facts. These people call Obama a socialist and Palin said Obama wanted to practice socialism. According to the last two posters she is a socialist. Maybe you believe I am upset because you read things into the facts and collect fake facts. I posted a site by the Bureau of Economic Analysis, an agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce and well known conservatives say it does not compute or say that her completely unrelated approval rating has something to do with government facts. They are facts. It seems three of you have a problem accepting facts. But you can all go on in your pretend world. It is just that Palin is a hypocrite because she said Obama wanted to bring socialism to America and she has been involved in what any economist worth his salt would say is more socialistic than anything Obama proposed. Did these guys go to the U.S. government website I posted? That's where the facts are.

"Donkey - If Sarah Palin lowered economic growth in Alaska, why does she have an 80% approval rating in Alaska? Hmmm?"

They can't answer that one. Does not compute.

Alaska, under Palin, just does a better job of it than most if not all the other states.

Palin lowered the economic growth in Alaska.

Alaskans get paid to live in Alaska. They get a check from Alaska Sarge. Can we make it any more clear to you. It is called "Citizen's dividend." The oil company pays taxes and Palin gives cash to the citizens. She does not do a better job; she lives in a state with a low population and high resource production. Only a dumbass would equate that to efficiency. She redistributes the wealth and that according to Sarge is socialism. Sarge said smith would not admit something or another. Now he is being dishonest about Palin. I wonder why. That's right I already addressed that.

badge123 - "The state has collective ownership, takes profits from the rich oil companies and "redistributes the wealth" back to the citizens of Alaska."

Well, blow me down! I believe the other 49 states also "take profits" ( tax ) companies and use it in their budgets. Alaska, under Palin, just does a better job of it than most if not all the other states.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

The truth is that Palin just benefits from a low population state with a large land mass that has vital resources. Alaska's change in Gross State Product was among the lowest. Only 6 states with lower growth. The percent change in real GDP by State in year 2006 from the year of 2007 was only 0.3% and oil companies were making record profits. This from the Bureau of Economic Analysis, an agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce.

"Sarah Palin isn't for taking money from the rich and giving it to the poor, she's for creating wealth that everyone can enjoy, and her state is pretty darn good at it."

Socialism isn't defined as "taking money from the rich and giving it to the poor". Her state is pretty darn good at practicing socialism. The state has collective ownership, takes profits from the rich oil companies and "redistributes the wealth" back to the citizens of Alaska.

The Palin lovers have to believe that her opponents hate her. They cannot bring themselves to believe that she brings no more emotion than indifference or boredom and that she represents nothing more than a comical target like V.P. Dan Quayle. We disagree with political figures with opposing views and so do the Palin supporters. But when a Dan Quayle comes along and he paints this huge target on his back and begs us to make fun of him. The man was not only a dolt but smug. So now another brainless wonder comes along and we should worship her because these guys who think she is hot get all chivalrous in defending a woman's honor. Not hatred; just an aversion to her way of thinking. If it is disdain that you notice it is not the scornful variety but rather a disregard for her significance. It is not us that are acting any different. She has an ideology completely contrary to our own and we are responding. It is they who are reacting differently; it is almost as though we are crushing some fantasy of theirs; maybe it is more like disturbing their fantasizing.

And she makes a mean Moose Chili to boot!

Just about all you can do with a Moose Chili is boot it.

In their world, where America is a victim of eight years of horrible "leadership" under bush, there is nothing more intolerable than an ignorant, gun-toting, rights-hating, indecent woman like Sarah Palin. She loves only her life, her husband, her kids (even the one that got pregnant out of wedlock while Palin herself lobbies for teaching only abstinence to youngsters), her secessionist state, and her country only if it panders to her.

And she makes a mean Moose Chili to boot!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Palin's opponents, admirers of great Americans like Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, and President-elect Barack Hussein Obama, can't stand to see an incompetent politician such as Palin or bush.

And just look at the wisdom it evokes: We Americans voted Obama/Biden in, McCain/Palin out.

We'll continue to do so.

Her opponents, admirers of neurotic and botoxed harridans like Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi, can't stand to see a happy woman. In their world, where everyone is a victim, there is nothing more intolerable than a modest, brave and decent woman like Sarah Palin. She loves life, her husband, her kids, her home state and her country.

And just look at the hatred it evokes.

There is a reason nobody knew who the hell she was before McSame picked her, the very same reasons were bringing up. Maybe she should try out for american dolt, remember the Hsu kid he made bank on his tone def singing, she can make it on her tone def political knowledge.

Good on ya Sarah.

I hope you will inspire even more people than you already have now.

Keep bringing out the best in people that admire what you have accomplished with your life and keep allowing the ones that hate you to keep showing how much they pale in comparision.

Sarge,

Palin takes from the rich oil companies and gives to the Alaskan citizens ergo by your definition she is a socialist. She did say that Africa was a country. She did not know the countries in the NAFTA agreement.

She did say, "you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska." This in an answer to "What insight into Russian actions..." so I guess she had zero insight. He continued, "...particularly in the last couple of weeks..." so maybe she was like Moses; in the previous two weeks she peered into Russia from "an island in Alaska" to understand Russia's actions and gain holy insight.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

smithinjapan - Why is it you cannot bring yourself to admit that Sarah Palin never said she can see Russia from her house, or that Africa is a country?

bsdge123 - Sarah Palin isn't for taking money from the rich and giving it to the poor, she's for creating wealth that everyone can enjoy, and her state is pretty darn good at it.

Otaru - Wrong.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

realist - that was sarcasm...right?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

It must really grind your gears to know that Palin herself practices what you worry about "Socialism". While she was trying to scare everyone into thinking Obama will turn America into a Socialist country, She herself governs the most "socialist" state in the US. You were trying to tell me last time she isn't for spreading the wealth, but her actions and words show differently.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I am an admirer of Sarah Palin. She is a remarkable woman, not least because of her strong atand against the evil of abortion. She has a great personality, and I think she will make a great VP one day. Her time has not come yet, thats all. I hope she does take on a few of these invitations - I would love to see more of her. A nice person, despite what the mean-spirited Democrats have to say.

sarge: "Donkey - Palin was simply giving wily ol' Charlie some info he probably didn't know about Russia when he asked her about the "PROXIMITY" of Russia."

Or maybe she's just a dolt. Ah, scratch that... no maybe there. She still couldn't answer with a number, could she... she said only 'I can see Russia from Alaska'... err... was it 'my house'? Hell, this from a guy who supports a woman who said Africa is a country... and as to 'the person who said that remains anonymous' -- she does not, her name is Palin. The bogus 'proof' that someone else made it up and yet 'remains anonymous' is the icing on the cake of humour.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I would rather puke in my hat and swallow it that watch Palin on the big screen or on the big stage

0 ( +0 / -0 )

sarge: HAHAHAHAha! 'credibility' from sarge! You never answered my above questions: 'is this coming from the same sarge who said the republicans would win both houses a couple years back? The same sarge who said McSame/Palin would win without a doubt and that the republicans would 'again' get both houses?'

Now, please do tell me again about 'credibility', my friend.

Regardless of whether she said she can see Russia from her house, or from Alaska, the fact remains that she was moronic to use it as a basis for international experience, and part of the reason it was the basis for so much ridicule. And so what if she CAN see Russia from an island in Alaska? Does that mean she can see the Kremlin in Moscow, or does it mean that from standing in some useless rock that's part of Alaska she can see some useless rocks that fit in the border of what's known as Russia? Do tell me how that qualifies her to be anything more than observant of something more than what a dimwit would know.

I can see Taiwan from an island in Okinawa... does that mean I know more about Ryukyu, Taiwanese, or Japanese policies?

Again, she's nothing but a dolt my friend, and you sticking up for a dolt? well... hahahaha... let's just say it's what you've been doing since you yourself proclaimed you were 14 -- you said that, not me.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Donkey - Palin was simply giving wily ol' Charlie some info he probably didn't know about Russia when he asked her about the "PROXIMITY" of Russia.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

smith - Until you do some research ( hint: stay away from liberal blogs ) and find out that Sarah Palin never said she can see Russia from her house ( that was Tina Fey - Palin said you can see Russia from an island in Alaska ), and never said that Africa is a country, ( she said "If there are allegations based on questions or comments I made in debate prep about NAFTA - about the continent versus the country when we talk about Africa there - then those were taken out of context." ) and come back here and admit these things, you will have absolutely no credibility whatsoever.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

"You must be one of the 86% who believe that Palin said she can see Russia from her house, because you also said this"

Okay, I'm trying to get this straight... soooo... the majority of the world has it on good sources that Palin said this, including media transcripts, and a mere few do NOT think she said it, and you somehow believe the latter have some kind of edge over the former. Hmmm... is this coming from the same sarge who said the republicans would win both houses a couple years back? The same sarge who said McSame/Palin would win without a doubt and that the republicans would 'again' get both houses? hahaha. Clearly, even a teeny-bopper can catch my drift.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

sarge: "The liar who said Palin thinks Africa is a country, not a continent, remains anonymous, smith."

And yet the dolt who said Africa is a country remains as plain as day, and she is Palin. Even when she got all whiney about it and tried to clear her own name she STILL said, "Of course I know the difference between Africa the continent and Africa the country!" but you see, sargie, there IS no country called Africa, so she blew it AGAIN in her defense of her first blunder!! HAHAHAHA. SOUTH Africa exists as a country, to be sure. As for her not knowing which countries are in NAFTA, that's just plain inexcusable, even by American educational standards.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

sarge: "The "dolt" who is juggling offers to write books, appear in films and sit on dozens of interview couches, right?"

As I said, if Osama Bin Laden agreed to grant interviews he'd be given FAR more fanfare and 'couches', etc., than Palin; so by your logic then is Bin Laden the most popular, intelligent, and greatest man in the world? Methinks no, but this argument, too, will be lost on you. You just cannot see the flaws in your thinking.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

sarge: "You must be one of the 86% who believe that Palin said she can see Russia from her house, because you also said this"

You must be one of the 0.00001% of those who still believe she DIDN'T say it, because it's in transcripts that she did. Wow... I mean, I know you love the woman (why, no one knows!), but is denial really so deep? It kind of takes me back to about three years ago when, as Davy, you admitted you were only 14 years old. I guess it's about 17 now, then... I mean, there's no other reason why someone could be so completely wrong all the time except through immaturity.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

smith - Actually, no, none of her interviews were bad, even though Couric and Gibson tried their best to make her look bad.

You must be one of the 86% who believe that Palin said she can see Russia from her house, because you also said this:

"I'm curious whether she's learned anything about African geography, or she thinks it's just a country still"

The liar who said Palin thinks Africa is a country, not a continent, remains anonymous, smith.

"a dolt Palin is"

The "dolt" who is juggling offers to write books, appear in films and sit on dozens of interview couches, right? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

The Republicans sure didn't like her at the Governor's conference.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

sarge: Hell, sargie... she hasn't even opened her mouth about any of the offers yet (fortunately for her) and we're all laughing at the mere mention of her name! hahaha... sorry, bud... she'll get heaps of cash from people putting her on stage for a laugh, but from here on in she'll rightly never be taken seriously in politics.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Sarge, you had a great comeback after I said it was her first 'A'. You could have said you were sure she got an 'A' in gym because she was the barracuda.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Sarge

come on man, surely you gotta know the only reason these people want her on their shows is so we can all watch her..........well...........be herself........she is entertainment fodder, why on earth else wud all these comedians want her on their shows.

I say bring it on, I can always use a good laugh & palin she delivers bigtime!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

By the way Sarge this is not the first time I posted that quote so I know what she said.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

sarge: What's more... the more Palin opens her mouth to speak on her own behalf, the less likely she'll ever get the nod to work in any official government capacity in the future. I notice you said to GoodDonkey: "You obviously didn't see any of her interviews except for the ones with Katie Couric and Charlie Gibson...", but during the election you constantly denied that said interviews were bad at all. Seems even YOU can change your tune about how much of a dolt Palin is.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

sarge: "This piece of news must really grind the gears of the anti-Sarah Palin crowd. Heh."

On the contrary, we all love a good comedy when we see one. I for one hope she gets heaps of interviews, fan-fare, and writes her own book. I'll willingly buy a copy, because I'm eager to hear her take on why her and McCain were slaughtered in the last election. Will she blame bush? McSame? Herself? How is she going to justify the comment, "I didn't ask for the clothes and didn't want them" when she wore them anyway and later couldn't tell them apart from the other stuff in her wardrobe?

In particular I'm curious whether she's learned any African geography, or if she thinks it's just a country still.

Nah, sarge, none of us are bitter at all about this. You know, if any of these talk show hosts, etc., could make offers to Bin Laden, they'd gladly do so to get the scoop on why he has done what he has, etc., and to sell sell sell. That's what they're doing with Palin; it does not in any way mean a victory for her. In fact, any single interview she grants will focus on why it is she thinks she lost, much less so what she plans to do from now.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

GIBSON: What insight into Russian actions, particularly in the last couple of weeks, does the proximity of the state give you?

/

PALIN: They're our next door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska.

Oh yeah Sarge, he was really trying to make her look bad. You are sooooo funny. She is sooooo funny too. I am so glad you brought it up so I could have a good laugh at her expense one more time, for all of the old times.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Donkey - I'll betcha you're one of the 86% too.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Donkey: "I want each interview to be as long as possible"

You obviously didn't see any of her interviews except for the ones with Katie Couric and Charlie Gibson, both of whom did their best to make her look bad.

I'll bet ol'HaroldSteptoe is one of the 86% of people who believe that Sarah Palin said she can see Russia from her house, when in fact, it was Tina Fey who said that.

She only turns him in because after their torrid love affair she discovers he has also 'been with' her un-wed daughter, for whom she then has to cover the pregnancy by saying it was hers. Oh, he'll fix the plumbing all right, but in the end it'll be him getting the snake. I can see it taking 20 minutes to write.
