"Palin slammed President Barack Obama as the “capitulator in chief.” Trump, she said, would “let our warriors do their job and go kick ISIS’ ass!”

I saw this manic moment on BBC. She has evolved ( oops ) from air-headed, folksy, bible-thumping yokel into a lobotomized Medusa.

Some endorsement . . .

"The day before former Alaska governor Sarah Palin offered her high-stakes, high-profile endorsement of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, her son Track Palin was arrested on domestic-violence charges after a fight with his girlfriend, who said she was concerned he would take his own life with an AR-15 rifle."

@Black Sabbath - Let's pitch in and get 'em a pair of those T-shirts, OK? And, on their second day "together", I guess she stood him up in Iowa !

You all sound just as mean as the conservatives you deride them for.

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

The liberals tend to be mean. Just open your eyes objectively and see the reality instead of allowing others to direct your life.

-13 ( +2 / -15 )

The liberals tend to be mean.

Oh, totally. For example, hot on the heels of her Trump endorsement, Palin spun around to attack Obama as responsible for her son's domestic violence arrest. That wasn't crude or untrue or uncalled for or anything; it was simply kind, Christian advice.

That's why, Obama won't be a problem anymore after this year.

Check her performance endorsing Trump. Hilarious.

Palin slammed President Barack Obama as the “capitulator in chief.”

Palin needs to slam harder. Back in '08, Obama made inappropriate sexist remarks about Palin (Lipstick on a pig.) But I guess that's just the down n' dirty games all politicians play.

-12 ( +1 / -13 )

Sarah Palin is a performance artist, as is Trump. Politics as spectacle.

Palin's endorsement of Trump a boost

This is something that is unique to American Republicans. These words would not compute anywhere else on the planet.

8 ( +10 / -2 )

Sarah Palin is a performance artist, as is Trump. Politics as spectacle.

And Obama is the "Ringmaster." You couldn't ask for a funnier circus.

This is something that is unique to American Republicans. These words would not compute anywhere else on the planet.

Seriously?? And that coming from the party supporters that have a 74 year old Bolshevik thinking he can be president?

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

Palin's endorsement of Trump a boost

I would have thought an endorsement from Palin would be poison — political suicide. That this would in any way be considered "a boost" just does not compute. I must be living in some sort of absurd parallel universe.

Anyway, I predict that Trump will eventually name Palin as his running mate, the Trump-Palin blowhard ticket. I'm fairly certain they won't win the presidency, but they could win the GOP nomination. I hate to think of the catastrophe that would bring.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

If you ever need a good laugh or fifty, anytime the Palin clan is in the news for drunken brawling and other rogue episodes, read the Alaska Dispatch News out of Anchorage. The people who actually have to live up in Alaska all winter have a surprisingly sharp sense of humor. But only if you can handle jokes about how the number of sailors who have been up Bristols Bay and suchlike.

Oh. Don't bet on it. After 7 years of failed progressive unilateral tyrannical rule.

-9 ( +0 / -9 )

Why do I feel like Trump & Co. is a distraction from something/one else? I don't want to believe so many fellow Americans take the likes of him seriously.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Thanks, Torafusu! Sarah Palin may be many things, but a good parent - or grandparent - she clearly is not. Apparently, Track is living in his sister Bristol's basement with anger, alcohol problems, a large gun collection - and Bristol's two children upstairs.

Sarah has talked big about how guns are not the problem but mental health, and that guns should be removed from those with sever mental problems. If she truly cared about her family, she would be requesting a court order removing guns from her son.

Anyway, I predict that Trump will eventually name Palin as his running mate, the Trump-Palin blowhard ticket.

Only a politician would pick palin for a running mate, like McCain. Ironically, behind closed doors, I'd say trump probably says they same things about her as the kind hearted, gracious lefties do on here. Trump has no patience for dumb asskissing politicians, that's why he is running for president. The establishment are getting veeeeery worried. Dump The Trump? Where are all these caring lovely people when Bush and Obama are starting wars and bombing women and children, increasing the war machine, spreading lies on the MSM, etc? Just another establishment trick to fire up the robots.

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Laguna: "If she truly cared about her family, she would be requesting a court order removing guns from her son."

Actually, if she truly cared for her children she would take them aside, talk to them, and urge them to give up the guns and the alcohol, and come out of the basement. But she's as bad a mother as she is a politician, and this endorsement of Trump is PERFECT! and fodder for comedians for decades to come! I think my favourite part of it is how badly Cruz got slammed by being dissed by PALIN of all people! hahaha.

Not even bass can stick up for these idiots and can only deflect and talk about Obama!

3 ( +4 / -1 )

You know it's bad when Trump is having WTF moments already in the first week of partnering with Palin.

@FizzBit, I don't know when Obama has the time to secretly start all these wars against women and children. He's already bogged down with the wars against Christmas fruitcake, Halloween and St. Patty's Day.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

I don't know when Obama has the time to secretly start all these wars

It's only a secret if you live in the MSM bubble.

-9 ( +0 / -9 )

Well then Jay Today must be doing a poor job of explaining these newfangled Obamawars to us. That or people are on here for their entertainment. But go ahead and spell out which wars you mean, with Bush starting some and Obama all the others.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

How about this Tora.....I dare you to look.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

You couldn't make this stuff up. So not only do you now have loony Trump running for Pres, but now this crazy person has opened her gob and started supporting him. She is already a parody figure and this current exhibition of her nuttiness can only turn them into the biggest comedy double act this side of Ronald Regan and Dan Quayle.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Actually, if she truly cared for her children she would take them aside, talk to them, and urge them to give up the guns and the alcohol, and come out of the basement.

What does giving up guns and drinking have anything to do with it?

But she's as bad a mother as she is a politician,

How do you know she's a bad mother? So you're trying to say (as liberals usually do)

and this endorsement of Trump is PERFECT! and fodder for comedians for decades to come!

You forgot to mention that

I think my favourite part of it is how badly Cruz got slammed by being dissed by PALIN of all people! hahaha.

Not even bass can stick up for these idiots and can only deflect and talk about Obama!

Ill say this, Obama is a better orator than Trump without a doubt, but at, but what good is it to have a failed president in office that refuses to hang up is radical ideology and put his country first

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Guessing that you mean the latest wave of militia/Sagebrush Rebellions in the western US. But that has been going on since Obama was in Little League, and let's be honest that they are putting their own women and children in danger by acting provocatively. Tell me if I'm barking up the wrong tree and you mean something outside America. Attaboy Assad, bad 'Bama?

Now if you mean the war on figgy pudding and peartree turtledoves, I got no comment.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

This Trump - Palin "partnership" is doomed from the start ! Both of them like the limelight to themselves too much !

1 ( +1 / -0 )

her son Track Palin was arrested on domestic-violence charges after a fight with his girlfriend, who said she was concerned he would take his own life with an AR-15 rifle

If she truly cared about her family, she would be requesting a court order removing guns from her son.

@Laguna

But as a vocal evangelical Christian NRA supporter she would probably not infringe on his God-given constitutional right to bear arms, but instead choose to take the "good guys with guns" route based on the notion that more guns makes us safer.

That would mean making sure that the other members of the household (the "good guys") each pack heat so that they can defend themselves against her son (the "bad guy") if need be. I'm sure Trump supporters would agree.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

bass4funk: "What does giving up guns and drinking have anything to do with it?"

Since you don't read, another poster pointed out that guns are not a problem, mental illness is; her son is mentally ill and an alcoholic to boot, so if she believes what she says, and is a good mother, she should be helping him to help himself, and getting rid of the guns (again, mental illness, right?).

"How do you know she's a bad mother?"

Her values, and the values and actions of her children, as well as her family on the whole. The funny part is her blaming Obama for her son committing a crime!

5 ( +5 / -0 )

I thought Reagan was a simpleton. Then I thought Dubya was about as low as elected intelligence could get. But oh my word, these two swivel-eyed loons take ignorance to a whole new level. The only reason Palin is there is to make Trump sound slightly more than inarticulate.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

"Oh. Don't bet on it. After 7 years of failed progressive unilateral tyrannical rule."

You told us that Trump is appealing to the lunatic fringe of the GOP. I'm not a professional wordsmith like yourself and maybe I've misunderstood just how big or wide a 'fringe' can be.

What do you think about this lunatic fringe? I'll save you a bit of time:

Hillary/Benghazi/Sanders/socialism/ObamamaybeaMuslim/tyrant/radical/Priusdrivers/everyonewantstotakemyguns etc...

Now that's out of the way, what do you think about this lunatic fringe?

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Obama is a better orator than Trump without a doubt,

So I guess the teleprompter narrative is no longer in vogue in the bubble.

refuses to hang up is radical ideology and put his country first

You mean that puny tax increase on those making over $250,000? Radical!

You mean his skin color and his multiethnic ickiness? Radical!

Hawaii? Radical!

3 ( +4 / -1 )

He is like the most gnarly president ever. Radical too. Tubular dude.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

There is a growing effort to distinguish "business as usual" Republicanism from Tea Party Republicanism and Ted Cruz has jumped on this as a chance to mark himself out to be the only Tea Party answer.

I don't know who gains in this though. Sarah Palin had been receding into her corner before this so the question is whether Trump really gets Iowa out of this. I assume his ad-marketing whizzbangs have scoped out the demographics in that State.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I can't stop laughing at her speech -- it makes absolutely no sense! What is it she says in that one ridiculous part? "Right-winging beer flinging proud-linging guns in our religion god-linging"? Is she even speaking English and maybe just on the same drugs as her kids?

1 ( +2 / -1 )

"I can't stop laughing at her speech -- it makes absolutely no sense! What is it she says in that one ridiculous part? "Right-winging beer flinging proud-linging guns in our religion god-linging"? Is she even speaking English and maybe just on the same drugs as her kids?"

Babbling in a strange tongue? Another exorcism may be needed.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Babbling salad bar English, but her logic was, improbably, worse:

Are you ready for a commander-in-chief, you ready for a commander-in-chief who will let our warriors do their job and go kick ISIS ass?....And you quit footin’ the bill for these nations who are oil-rich, we’re paying for some of their squirmishes that have been going on for centuries. Where they're fightin’ each other and yellin’ “Allah Akbar” calling Jihad on each other’s heads for ever and ever. Like I’ve said before, let them duke it out and let Allah sort it out.

Uh, Sarah - can't have it both ways. Either the next president is going to going to "kick ISIS ass" or is he going to "let them duke it out and let Allah sort it out." Perhaps she's just being squirmishy.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Laguna, I missed the 'squirmish' part... oh dear, she really is quite bonkers.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Just another Palinism, Thunder - she could refudiate it, but that's not how the system works.

"The spectacle is the nightmare of imprisoned modern society which ultimately expresses nothing more than its desire to sleep. The spectacle is the guardian of sleep." - Guy Debord, Society of the Spectacle - comments

Deliciously complex. And nothing reality based. Mocking politics and government as an operating principle. Well, it may have some entertainment value as parody, but, as a logical choice? Through nonsense. Nice quote.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Bass, old chum(p), how is Obama a radical?

Forcing States and the country to take in refugees most people don't want, flooding the country with 3rd world immigrants children from Latin America, trying to legalize 5 million of them, forcing the country to take in terrorist detainees from Gitmo and that's the tip of the iceberg.

Do you mean he's a radical because he's tried to make people's lives better?

47 million people on food stamps, the stock market is literally on life support, we have over $38 Trillion in debt, race relations is at an all time low, we have the highest corporate tax rate in the world, businesses are leaving faster than you can blink and you think Obama has made our lives better? If that were even partially true, Trump wouldn't be where he's at today.

Since you don't read, another poster pointed out that guns are not a problem, mental illness is; her son is mentally ill and an alcoholic to boot, so if she believes what she says, and is a good mother, she should be helping him to help himself, and getting rid of the guns (again, mental illness, right?).

Had no idea now all you liberals were so deeply concerned. Lol

"How do you know she's a bad mother?"

Her values, and the values and actions of her children, as well as her family on the whole.

Then Hillary should be one of the worst mothers on the planet.

The funny part is her blaming Obama for her son committing a crime!

No, I blame Obama for being a horrible, ineffective president.

You told us that Trump is appealing to the lunatic fringe of the GOP.

No more than He Marxist Sanders is striking a chord with the delusional progressive left.

I'm not a professional wordsmith like yourself and maybe I've misunderstood just how big or wide a 'fringe' can be.

I'm not holding it against you, buddy.

What do you think about this lunatic fringe? I'll save you a bit of time:

Hillary/Benghazi/Sanders/socialism/ObamamaybeaMuslim/tyrant/radical/Priusdrivers/everyonewantstotakemyguns etc...

Right on the mark. See, as they say, the truth shall set you free.

Now that's out of the way, what do you think about this lunatic fringe?

If you are referring to her as a lunatic, I would say, you are deeply mistaken. She's about as lunatic as Hillary is an honest woman.

So I guess the teleprompter narrative is no longer in vogue in the bubble.

Who cares? At this point NO ONE is listening or really paying attention to what this thankfully, soon to be outgoing president is saying.

You mean that puny tax increase on those making over $250,000? Radical!

And the shrinking middle class that are feeling the sting as well.

You mean his skin color and his multiethnic ickiness? Radical!

And once again, backed in a corner, the left can only dig out the race card it's their ace in the hole!

Hawaii? Radical!

I knew there was a reason I never liked that Island.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

Until Palin goes home and looks after her own "wounded warrior", how can a family values conservative see Palin's absence from her suicidal alcoholic son as anything but hypocrisy based on the most selfish intent?

What is left of the GOP?

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

bass: "No, I blame Obama for being a horrible, ineffective president."

You're really digging, bass. I said PALIN is now blaming Obama for her son's arrest, which the veterans of your nation are very angry about (at Palin, not Obama), and this is your reply? Are you Palin?

"Who cares?"

About tele-prompters? You did -- for several years and until very recently. Now it's going to be 8 years or so of 'not caring' about Bengazi despite that being finished 6 or 7 panels and MILLIONS of dollars ago. And PALIN mentioned the tele-prompters in this handicapped speech of hers, too.

I watched it again, and watched Colbert skewer her perfectly (by tasering his brain first), and it was priceless. Honestly... I think she really might qualify for dumbest woman on the planet! I wish she could endorse all of the Republicans!
