Great, the Queen of waterboarding is in China, but at least waterboarding is easy on the environment. =Waterboarding is good for China, but harvesting of human organs brings in more money.

Maybe she'll have a few more things to say after a good waterboarding.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Why the silence. Back in the US her opinions regarding waterboarding (and her trying to distance herself from those naughty folks at the CIA) have been all over the media. However, when she goes to China, she takes her mouth out of gear because she wouldn't want to offend China, with its fine human rights record (lol). Seriously, politicians of any ilk cannot be trusted to lie straight in bed, let alone tell the truth about serious issues.

"China's vast holdings of U.S. Treasury notes"

I'll bet that has something to do with the Democrat-controlled Congress spending more money than the government takes in from taxes.

Ole Nan's been keeping her trap shut about a lot stuff lately if you ask me.

Face it, we are scared of China. They own us.

den den: "Face it, we are scared of China. They own us."

Is it China that makes the "petrol cars" they drive where you come from? I don't understand your statement.

China, since market its reforms, with the new India that has ditched socialism, is another 3 billion capitalists.

We all win.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

We all win, huh? Who is we? "We" does not include the workers who live in squalid conditions for low pay so the consumer can buy cheap goods. Nor does it include the agricultural workers who get sick because of pesticides and other chemicals (often passing them on to their children) so food can be bought cheaply. And then there are all those other externalities such as ground water poisoning, air pollution, soil erosion and on and on.

Capitalism still has a long way to go before it can be considered a winning way for everyone.

Obama'S appeaser mouthpiece show us how low this bunch of fools have alr eady fallen. The world must be laughing at us for electing such a spineless bunch.

Makes me goddam sad as a patriot.

The world must be laughing at us for electing such a spineless bunch.

No. We laughed at the former administration as we observed a bunch of chicken hawks botch two wars, the economy, New Orleans ... actually we stopped laughing years ago.

Obama may end up being mediocre but he is still miles ahead of Bush.

And stop calling yourself a patriot if all you do is support your party and not your country.

Tell me, what can she say when over there. It would be censored anyways....

But if she gets here and says nothing then that is another story...

Sarge at 10:26 AM JST - 26th May "China's vast holdings of U.S. Treasury notes" I'll bet that has something to do with the Democrat-controlled Congress spending more money than the government takes in from taxes.

Do not worry Sarge, we will all be paying our fair share after Obama's budget kicks in.....You must remember that we are still under the Bush budget for a few more months.....All will be well after that is no more...

Be happy in that knowledge

Something, anything to dispell the notion that she is nothing but an annoying git. It would be refreshing to see this, allow me to choke down my bile, leader of the House stay consistant on something as important as human rights. It doesn't matter on whether or not China hears it, only that the rest of the world, and most importantly, the people back in America hear it.

buddha4brains: I have don emore for my great country than you could ever dream of doing. I've dine more than Pelosi, i speak my mind and do my best for my country , unlike Obama and his lackeys who are all spin without substance.

The woman can't even bring up CHina'S human rights failings. She'S a puppet and a yellow chicken.

Another non-issue.

China pretty much owns the US, and so a US politician doesn't oppose them and now they're upset. News flash: your government has been kow-towing to China for years, and bush went there to try and secure more government bonds in his final weeks in office after he triggered the worst economic recession since the 30's (and after which he begged Japan, too). Pelosi not doing any different doesn't make her... well... any different.

But as I said, the shattered Republican party once more trying to make a non-issue into something to sit on (being that they have no more base than a toothpick).

China owns just less than one quarter of the US debt held by foreigners. The US Treasury market is the only one in the world big enough to support its purchases. The Chinese talk about making changes but the reality is that they can't (it would disrupt any other market China went into and would devalue its US dollar holdings) and don't want to (they still correctly see the US as a relative safe haven compared to the rest of the world).

It doesn't matter, Pelosi could tell me the sun will rise tomorrow, and I wouldn't believe her. She only lies when her lips move.

Why let a little thing like human rights get in the way of her little shopping trip?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Well geeze by golly where was your boy wonder preachin bout humin rights when he attended the olympics. And wasnt the free tibet signs up then, and all them humin rights. Gash darn if he didnt say anything, but he sure can wave a US flag made in china real well.

Every time Obama and the Democrats fail to walk the walk, they and their supporters seem to think blaming George W. Bush makes it all better. What a bunch of self important phonies.

the U.S. needs china's cooperation against the DPRK. matters of national security & regional stability supercede those of chinese human rights. pelosi will do as she is ordered by her commander-in-chief, mr. obama. stray too far, and innocent by-standers will get the first rounds of fire. to those who live in japan, you'll appreciate pelosi's efforts when the DPRK is carpet-bombing from hokkaidou to okinawa and you're living in a concentration camp.

Sarge and Vor

So you cant bring your selves to believe the facts, but your not above insulting someone else that does the exact same thing.

True american spirit there.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

DXXJP Sarge and Vor talk common sense and are patriotic Americans loke my good self.

Bush and his underlings would bring up human rights at every occaision. This is appeasement. It happened before with Mr Chamberlin, don't fall into the same trap Obama.

Who cares? If she had brought up human rights people would be telling the US to say out of the affairs of other countries then we would have had 50 posts about Gitmo.

Hmmm.....make that 75 posts about Gitmo.

Time for Pelosi's lefty admirers to put another bumper sticker on the Volvo and vow to never make any major purchases from Walmart.
