Someone doesn't understand US elections. Recall In 2016 before the Republican primaries there were people who identified as 'independent' claiming Trump represented the lunatic fringe. Lots of time between now and November. 'Americans' understand their nation includes a full spectrum of individuals representing a full spectrum of opinions and beliefs. Especially those who still believe in the democratic principles ensured by the republic's constitution.
