A senior moment ?
His situational awareness is astounding.
Probably a bunch of untruth and flimsy excuses.
wallace
Unlike Trump Pence manned up.
Strangerland
Pence biggest mistake was claiming he would never take home classified documents without first checking if he had any classified documents at home. He looks pretty stupid for that.

Former Vice President Mike Pence said Friday that he takes “full responsibility” after classified documents were found at his Indiana home.
Yeah, Pence and his ilk always mouth taking "full responsibility" as long as there are no consequences for them, especially doing the feared time for breaking the laws of the land.
“We acted above politics and put national interests first,” he said.
Yeah, unlike those whistleblowers who expose government crimes and must do hard time for their patriotism by putting democracy and human rights above what Pence calls "national interests".

You forgot your worst mistake Mike - signing on to be Trump's poodle for 4 years....that's the ultimate sin...
Still, you and Joe admitted you took your Library books home by mistake...while the Thief of Mar-A-Lago first says they were his, then says he declassified them by "thinking", then had his lawyer send a formal letter saying there was no more classified (there was, 104 more documents), then changes his story completely by saying he didn't take any documents, just the folders...all the while Jack Smith has the over 300 stamped classified documents taken from his stash...
Get ready for the big pile-on Mike, as your former close Repub buds Mike Pompeo and Nikki Haley call you a "traitor" and "danger to our country"...
ROFL...

Nothing to man up, he was also a VP, seems like both him and Joe exonerated Trump.

If I was a spy, I would go to a lot of garage sales.

A man who steals a penny isn't the same type of thief who steals a million.
plasticmonkey
Yep. The three cases are identical in every way.
plasticmonkey
Anyway, that’s for the courts to decide.
bass4funk
A thief is a thief. Stealing is stealing, verbal violence and physical violence is still violence.
Semantics.
bass4funk
Yes, for the main accusation the 3 are accused of.
Yes, most definitely.
Silkanvil
Pence is a straight up man; Biden on the other hand tried to deflect his responsibility when he left unauthorized documents in the reach of Hunter.
The voters will speak soon.

It strikes me there is something systematically wrong with how classified documents are handled at the White House that transcends administrations. In the military at least to view classified documents one must go to a special classified space, check the document out and check it back in to a special safe. The safes are checked at the end of the day to make sure nothing is missing before the safe is closed and locked. There are pages of rules on how to move classified materials from one place to another.
But at the White House it appears everyone wants to be briefed at their desks and classified materials are left in executive offices instead of a designated classified space. Nobody want to make the Pres or Veep walk down the hall and maybe go to another floor in the White House to sit in an austere room to look at a classified document. The military and others trip over themselves to defer to the Pres and Veep spoon feeding, er, I mean briefing them, at their desks. It appears they also leave the materials in their offices for them to study. Then in the haste to pack up with an administration moves out to make way from a new incoming administration it is a mad scramble where everything, classified or not, gets shoved in a box, tossed on a truck and stored somewhere. At least that is how it appears to me.
Jimizo
Glad he didn’t go with the temporarily possessed by Satan line.
Strangerland
How would they exonerate Trump's obstruction?
bass4funk
What obstruction?
TokyoOldMan
Both the Democrats & Republican should call a truce and stop the infighting. There's a bigger fight that both should be focusing upon, and right now, they're being manipulated by external parties hoping to blindsight them.
Blacklabel
The documents were in a locked room under secret service guard and surveillance cameras.
not laying around in the garage.
Blacklabel
Mike as useless as ever. He didn’t check after Trump was raised but does check after Biden found 5 times?
hey Mike here! What Joe did isnt so bad, look I did it too.
sad end to the Mike Pence story. Now he’s getting 3% for President. Sad.
Strangerland
With far-right extremists in an unsecured location.
Literally the biggest document scandal in the past 150 years. Plenty of investigations into Pence to come. Plenty. A Benghazimaildurham-load of investigations into how these unsecured documents could have been made available to far-right extremist MAGA folk.
bass4funk
Well, yes. They should drop all this, all these men were wrong and let’s move forward.
Strangerland
Biden has been doing that with Lyndsay Graham recently. While the comment section are full of MAGA people, and those pointing out that MAGA people are idiots, the Biden administration has been surprisingly effective, and very bipartisan.
bass4funk
Well, we feel this administration are full of idiots
75% of the nation doesn’t think so and when pressed on that, the guy walks away leaving his deplorable WHPS to take the fall.

"Mistakes WERE MADE"...
The passive voice is a nifty piece of English grammar, always deliberately employed whenever attempting to dodge responsibility by omitting agency: WHO? The follow-up questions, how? why?, must be thoroughly investigated. There is no possibility Pence and Biden will be held to account for illegally holding government (aka the American people's) documents. Trump's case is very different and appears far more serious, but the "justice league" team of Garland & Biden will predictably go easy on 45 "for the sake of the country" (cough).
wallace
The guilty are sentenced according to the serious of the crime. Trump had 11,000 documents and some more.
bass4funk
Legally, it’s still the same thing, possessing classified documents.
Yes, which he could classify at any time, Pence and Biden can’t.

These 2 men have more credibility legally than any leftist news outlets and these guys are left.
stormcrow
“Mistakes were made.”
Well, that’s the best response so far.
wallace
All crime is not equal.
TokyoLiving
Pathetic excuses for a pathetic political class..
bass4funk
"You cannot have two systems of justice unless the claims against Trump passed what I used to call the Clinton-Berger test," Dershowitz said on Wednesday's "Just the News, No Noise" TV show. "Now it's the Clinton-Berger-Biden test. Unless his conduct is so much more egregious and unlawful than what the three Democrats were accused of doing, you can't have a criminal prosecution of Donald Trump."
-Dershowitz
It’s incredible that Joe Biden would have the gall to act like being next to his Corvette makes it cool — that he took who knows how many classified documents and has them strewn all over the place including in such insecure settings. How could this guy ever have had the nerve to comment about President Donald Trump who had the right to have presidential records and had them secure in a locked vault in a home guarded by the Secret Service?
-Turley
Two Democrat Hillary supporting law professors
Happy Day
Only Trump had the power to de-classify. Pence made an honest mistake. What exactly was Biden doing with all of that classified information that he shared with his son, Hunter?
Jimizo
Hysterical partisanship.
Of no use whatsoever.
Blacklabel
Except being factual.
Of the 3, only Trump has even the possibility of it being determined that he legally declassified the documents he had.
The other 2 had no such ability or authority whatsoever.
bass4funk
Can’t argue against the law, No partisanship
Silkanvil
Joe's unauthorized classified documents were in easy of access of his son, who was partnered with China, and in the Penn Biden Center, that received funds through the university from China.
Talk about highly irresponsible.
The voters will speak.
lincolnman
Indeed....
So? Trump now says he only took folders, not docs - so why did he say before he declassified them?
And they didn't obstruct justice by having their lawyers send an official memorandum stating that "there were no more classified docs at Mat-A-Lago" - then the FBI searched and found 104 more....
"I took the classified - it's mine, OK, I'll give some back but I don't have any more. OK, I lied, I do have more. I declassified it all by "thinking" about it, Wait, I didn't declassify any of it because I never had any - I just took empty folders"....
MAGA-madness...
bass4funk
Trump was President, the other two were not.
Trump didn’t have to own up because he had that right to declassify any document he wanted and the DOJ knew that.
He was also later then advised to by a lock, separate the most classified documents and put them in a safe and said this while his lawyers and secret service agents were present.
Will never happen, even more now than ever before.
Not according the legal affidavit.
That was never proven, not one time, not with all the SS agents and lawyers around.
Technically illegal by not allowing Trump’s lawyers to be present, another strike and a serious one against the DOJ.
Well, selected ones.
No, they will all be cleared or be charged, even Dick Durbin said Joe lost the high ground on the issue, all the deflection won’t help, if Trump were in any real legal jeopardy, he would have been gone a long time ago.
No, because he wasn’t convicted on anything or any legal crime.
Blacklabel
Simple. There aren’t, if he declassified them all. under the declassified authority he has.
Nemo
This is just the start of the legal nightmare for “Your least favorite President.”
On this charge he is guilty as Hell. Any indictment will be highly likely to result in conviction.
In GA, he’s toast.
on the insurrection and the fake electors, he’s toast.
In NY, he’s toast.
The “man” is a recidivist and any sentient being can see as much.
Forget his low energy joke of a presidential campaign. He’s going to be too busy melting what little is left of his brain and his delusional and declining base in an ultimately futile effort to avoid conviction on multiple felony charges, of which this is merely one.
Superlib
Just another reason why DeSantis will beat Trump.
