Say what you will about Marcos Jr., he isn't selling his country out to China like the last guy.

Say what you will about Marcos Jr., he isn't selling his country out to China like the last guy.

No but he has be bought and paid for by the US, just like his father.

Must be really frustrating for the people of the Philippines to say the least.

They fought long and hard to eject the US bases from the country.

Now Marcos gave back a lot more

Perhaps because common sense and a UN tribunal put China's claim in the garbage where it belongs?

Yeah, I mean he offered docking rights. I don't know how a country ever recovers from that. I bet you also believe the poor Taiwanese are just suffering so much from not being able to be enslaved to the CCP, too.

Yes, then the menace appeared claiming most of the South China Seas. Now, the US has been welcomed back with open arms and access to even more bases.

Must be frustrating for the CCP!!

Once again, the CCP provokes Philippines then accuses the US of provocation. Attempting to steal territory in the South China sea simply shows China is more like a pirate and thief than a country that obeys laws.

Everyone outside looking in can see that China is the problem in that region. Making claims over others territories, moving in hundreds of armed merchant ships under military control, and forcing local fishermen out of their traditional fishing grounds.

China will not be happy until it has started a military conflict so it can use its toys and kill thousands who do not obey its will. The best thing China can do is remove Jinping Xi from power. He has singlehandedly taken China from a prosperous path of cooperation to one of belligerence and hostility with the region and beyond.

It is an area that the Chinese took from the Philippines a decade ago. it is emphatically not Chinese territory. But it has taken this long for the Philippines to acquire equipment from Japan , South Korea and the US with which to effectively challenge this Chinese invasion and push back against it.

So why try to barge in now?

Like anything that is rightly yours, you never forget it was taken from you against your will and you always vow to find a way to someday take it back.
