Maybe it's time for Mr. Duterte to get on that jet ski he talked about during his presidential campaign and go out there to run off all those Chinese ships. Isn't that what he said he'd do. If the Philippine Senate hadn't run the US out of their old bases there the Chinese wouldn't be doing this.

Good luck stopping them by yourselves. Right now the South China Sea looks like an all you can eat buffet table to a bunch of starving diners.

Is this not just a matter of routine diplomatic hiccup of Philippines with China over South China Sea?

Nothing serious. It does not mean much..

It is good that now Philippines is also showing its presence in South China Sea along with US and Japan. As slowly world is understanding the tactics of China. As now China is invading too much and deployed its military and war ships in South China Sea just to show its power and highlight its expansion policy.

The Obama Administration promised the Philippines that they would help protect its sovereignty over those islands but then did nothing when China moved in. It’s not a coincidence that China has resumed the aggression as soon as Biden took office.
