Apologies don’t change the fact of what happened, execution of the guilty would be a start though...

Care Leavers Australia Network chief executive Leonie Sheedy called on the government to remove a charity tax exemption from institutions that are still deciding whether to opt in to the national redress scheme for victims.

Take away any exemptions from the church too! They and any other religious organizations are more guilty than others in my opinion. They are charged with caring for people NOT abusing them!

Facing the shadows of the past. The only way to move ahead and look to the future. The sheer numbers that were abused while supposed to be in care are staggering, especially by those masquerading as servants of god makes this particularly cruel and malevolent. This Royal Commission will hopefully make sure it NEVER happens again! Those involved in the abuse, denial and/or cover up, hang your head in shame. You will take it to your grave.

One should not look at this article as an admission of child sex abuse. It should be looked at as a good example of addressing child sex abuse and ways to combat it. Child sex abuse happens all over the world, but only a few countries are taking a strong stand against it.
