Not surprised, have you seen the comments on Fox news? They don't regulate like JT does so the comments are full of bigotry towards minorities from the alt-right...

Private citizens have a right to express themselves in their private lives.

If they do anything in their jobs that are against the department rules, hold them accountable for that.

A teacher in Texas was fired for asking President Trump deport illegal immigrant students in her private twitter account. She will sue the school system AND she will win, because having an opinion and voicing that opinion is 100% legal. If she did anything at work to treat any students differently, THEN she needs to be held accountable for those actions.

If either of these people were acting as official representatives for their department or school and did anything against the policies of those organizations, nail them.

If they didn't, be prepared to be sued.

Whilst the comments are deeply unsettling, it's not too surprising. Institutionalised racism is a hard thing to stamp out.

To serve and protect... but only white people, it appears.

Fake News. Fox News.com does not offer any comment sections on the articles they post.

Exactly. Most of the police are hardworking, by the book and do what they can to help fight crimes and make a better community. Of course every now and then you will have a few rogue cops that shouldn’t be on the force for various reasons including racism.

So, being a police officer means you have to give up your freedom of speech?

Swap out they were saying something anti-trump, would they be investigated for that?

The lack of tolerance for free speech in the comments is impressive. So only speech you like is ok? There's a word for that.
