"pistol found under her body"
You know, you never want to jump to conclusions, but...

Two to the head and two to the chest....it took them damn near 2 days to figure out that this guy didn't off himself. Brilliant, just brilliant!

OK, I'll jump to the conclusions... she offed McNair who probably told her he wasn't going to leave his wife and kids for her. She then turned the gun on herself ! End of story.

Keystone cops, in the flesh.

"Keystone cops, in the flesh"
It reminds me of the line from Usual Suspects;
"What, you've had a team of monkey's working 'round the clock on that?"

Nothing keystone about it; they are obviously moving very slowly becasue they want to be sure before making the call. But, from all indications, they already have their suspect.

I mean, in all likelihood its not like anyone is getting away here.

They want to be careful not only to prevent an error in making the call, but also to keep from tarnishing one of Nashville's few heroes (and no, Al Gore doesn't count).
www.tennessean.com has been carrying local updates, for those who want to follow up.

Self-edit: One of nashville's few sports heores.
I could've said 'non-music heroes', but you get the idea.
