It seems not even the Christmas holiday spirit is immune from gun violence.

What the hell are "cameras" going to do? America is so bad you need security and police everywhere to still not feel safe.. It is the wild west out there and always has been

If only there were more guns, America would be a safer place.

A motive for the shooting was not immediately known, but Barnes said police were talking with the parents of the suspected shooter and they were cooperating.

The silicon chip inside her head

Gets switched to overload

And nobody’s gonna go to school today

She’s gonna make them stay at home

And daddy doesn’t understand it

He always said she was good as gold

And he can see no reasons

’Cause there are no reasons

What reason do you need to be shown?

This is part of American culture that people don’t want to change. Every time it happens, people are up in arms. Unfortunately then they order the latest gun that is way too powerful for them to use. Most Americans I have met are proud to carry a gun.

The only country in the world where mass shootings routinely happen, says "It could not be avoided".

That no change of worth re guns can be entertained, is a sad indictment on society itself.

A Broken System reflecting Broken ideals.

A tragedy for all.

Only Police should have firearms, guns. Nobody else, like in Japan. No permits, no gun shops. No guns stored in family houses.

what a nice society to live in...

This massacre will be forgotten about by Americans tomorrow.

In two or three days, at most, there will be another mass shooting in the US.

I see a lot of comments on social media along the lines of "if we start seeing regular shootings of rich white CEO types, we'll see gun reform within a week. Kids, though? They can't vote, so (redacted) 'em".

From the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) site.

The incident in Wisconsin was the 323rd school shooting in the US this year.

So far, 2024 has seen the second-highest number of US school shootings since 1966, which is far back as the data goes.

Reminder the US is lower than russia in intentional homicide rate:

If people want to say they can only visit East Asia or Europe, that is on them.

This comment hits hard. The rich folk have their kids in private school or getting homeschooled so it's not their problem apparently. But when they feel threatened is when they finally give a damn.

Kids especially in grade school shouldn't be fearing for their life, their life should just be sunshine and rainbows
