What a dumb country.

Why in god's name would you be carrying a gun to a sandwich shop.
That's what people in nearly every country in the world would be asking.
But not in the States.
All we can do is shake our heads in disbelief

It’s his constitutional right to shoot someone over a condiment. It’s freedoms like this that make The US great. /s

Unfortunately, it's not like in the movies, where the audience knows who the good guys and bad guys are. Most people would see someone who is not a uniformed police officer who is holding a gun, as a threat and active shooter.

Welcome to Wild West MAGA-America...
Where no insult, no slight, no affront....can't be resolved with 24 rounds from your Glock's extended magazine...
The Repub gun nutters want you to take your weapon everywhere - to school, to the Doctor's office, and to your local sandwich shop....because you never know when some balaclava-clad Antifa ninja will leap out behind a bush and accost you....
Well, except two places - you can't take your piece to an NRA conference Hall or to a Trump rally....

Your 2nd Amendment guns right don't apply at these two locations.... Isn't that interesting....

It's starting to look like armed guards and metal detectors will be needed not just at all school entrances in America, but really all entrances to any establishment. It's the only way to protect workers.

Conservatives would rather keep their gun rights, at the expense of other freedoms. They would rather have armed guards in every public place, cameras watching your every move, metal detectors, barbed wire, metal fencing, ID checkpoints, etc. As long as they can keep their guns. I think Americans should also have the freedom to exist without having to worry about being caught in the cross-hairs of a gun over something as trivial as "too much mayo".

The "democratic and developed" country where everyone solves their problems with guns..
Thank God I don't live in that mockery of "democracy"..
Third World...

There’s the problem with the ‘good guy with a gun’ argument. All it takes is a slight nudge and suddenly ‘bad guy with a gun’.
Clearly the problem is mayonnaise. Why aren’t there stronger regulations restricting access to sauces and dressings? Or maybe we need more. If everyone had mayonnaise on everything instead of just these lawless condiment thugs it’d be safer for everyone.

This is exactly why "concealed carry" is not a good idea.
And Georgia doesn't even a permit. INSANE.
"Gov. Brian Kemp signed legislation Tuesday that makes it legal for Georgia gun owners to carry a concealed handgun in public without a license from the state."
https://www.gpb.org/news/2022/04/13/kemp-signs-bill-allowing-permitless-carry-of-concealed-handgun-in-public
I hope this case leads to overturning this law.

Missed "require".

Oh dear, English isn't even my first language, and I know that "The Wild West" is used as a metaphore for anywhere without law, where guns... er, might... make right.

Thankfully the manager was legally armed, and even though he didn’t hit his target he may have saved lives by returning fire which caused the suspect to flee. Local news is reporting that once again the suspect was illegally in possession of the firearm they used in this murder.

Except Atlanta is in the South East.
And you can't take a firearm to a Biden rally, or on federal property, among other restricted places.
Nor at thousands of other places.
Interesting.

"Glenn said the manager on duty returned fire at the suspect, but wasn't able to hit him."
Manager was packing too. this must not be a very good neighborhood.

Good point, and good to see law abiding citizens expressing their constitutional rights, and also their state-sponsored rights of self-defense.
These kind of incidents are basically segregated depending on the demographics, so 99.9% of Americans would never encounter such a situation, regardless of the hyperbolic media focus on these rare events; people have a higher chance of being involved in an automotive accident, but they will not give up driving, nor will they give up ordering a BLT at Subway.

It's his constitutional right to travel freely too, but if he drove over someone with his car after he bought his steak and cheese sub, this would also be a crime.

Well, the country didn’t do anything, that’s physically impossible, however, the man involved in the shooting is beyond an idiot and I hope he gets life, just disgusting.
