Thoughts and prayers
Too soon to talk about legislation
A good person with a gun could have prevented this
Move along folks no need to change the sacred 2nd Amendment. This is just how we live now.

Ts & Ps.
See ya at the next one.

Another day in the hell the NRA has created. Gundamentalists will defend these killings, as a small price to pay, for their freedom to maim and kill men, women and children.
Toasted Heretic
I think there should be a travel ban on NRA members and any living in Japan should be, at the very least, subject to rigid scrutiny.

Just a day after a house party shooting.
America and its obsession with guns.
Toasted Heretic
NRA types will deflect from the terrorist organization that is responsible for so many lives taken. Horrific.

No need for further explanation. It was the same as every other gun murder in the US: someone carrying a gun used it to shoot someone else.
nandakandamanda
Attila, so you are saying that paranoia levels have risen?
Attilathehungry
Nanda, yes that is true. Crime is down, murder is down, the US was MUCH more dangerous in the past than today. Yet the media promotes stories, ironically like the one that leads this discussion, which simply aren't that important. A family squabble leading to violence isn't pretty, but it also isn't anything other than a local story. Yet here we are in Japan, reading all about it, ignoring the actual statistical evidence.
I blame the media for sensationalizing ordinary news, and promoting nothing stories to national prominence. Also blame the public for being far too credulous and blindly accepting what they are fed.

What? More like another day and gun haters are still lingering around saying nothing but noise. Very sad, will be definitely keep these people in my thoughts and prayers.
No, no gun supporters don’t support any killings of innocent people, we do care and fight for the right to allow us to protect the people we love that is our second amendment.
bass4funk
Yes, it is.
Me as head of the household and provider for my family. So don’t tread on me.
bass4funk
I would say they do that to liberals and give them a 90 day limited visa. Lol
bass4funk
Under the updated 2019 2nd amendment it sure does.
I wouldn’t be surprised if that were to happen one with these out of control Democrats.
I just did
Joe Blow
Exactly. This was not a mass shooting, though the killer did target presumably innocent people.
Attilathehungry
Zichi; actually, the rates you cite are lower than they were 20-30 years ago. The fact is that the US is safer now than at nearly any other time in history. At least, if you believe the FBI statistics... the murder rate is half of what it was in the 1980s. At the same time, gun ownership has been rising. Coincidence?
Attilathehungry
Zichi the SAME report also shows an overall downward trend in gun death rate from 1979 to today. So the situation is better than 40 years ago. Plus, as I stated before, the homicide rate is also the lowest in decades.
The US is safer than it has been in decades. The evidence shows this clearly. The only things that have changed are levels of paranoia.
Attilathehungry
In a country of over 300 million people, sadly there will be crime and murder. in this case, the killer was an angry husband who was confronting his estranged wife and her new boyfriend. Killed them and then killed himself. Domestic violence at its worst.
Nothing to do with the NRA, just a jealous a-hole.
Attilathehungry
Heretic, how very fascist of you! Imagine banning people due to their membership in a popular, legal, and nonviolent political action group. How about applying that to other groups too? Southern Poverty Law Center, Socialists of America, Green Party, Greenpeace....
Attilathehungry
Heretic, I think you're wrong. There is little/no relation between the NRA and the Democratic Party. Most large cities in the US are governed by Democrats- the results are easy to see.

A good person with a gun did stop it. The shooter killed himself after being confronted by an armed bystander.
