Although tragic, the number of victims is significantly less than the number of shooting victims on any given weekend in Chicago. I just don’t get why the control-freaks only care when these once-every-other-month shootings take place. Their voices should be hoarse from all the daily shootings that rival the numbers here in this case. Nothing but crickets until a few months later.

Love your handle, by the way. It reminds me of a particular genre of film, though I can’t remember exactly which one.

Yeah. I'm huge fan of surrealist French noir.

> As you should. It does happen sometimes, but if that were the rule and not the exception then the US, with the highest number of civilian owned guns on the planet, would have the least gun violence.

Stop it with your logical; you’re going to confuse the gun nutters!

To be clear, I was making fun of the morons that actually believe good guys with guns stop bad guys with guns.

As you should. It does happen sometimes, but if that were the rule and not the exception then the US, with the highest number of civilian owned guns on the planet, would have the least gun violence.

A lot of liberals own guns

Absolutely. That boom began after the election of one Donald Trump.

especially the ones that scream in America we need to get rid of them and abolish the 2nd amendment,

No, I disagree with that. The most common reason for liberals to buy guns, as alluded to earlier, is for self protection. That is precisely what the Second Amendment guarantees.

Anyway, I was trying to make the point that it would be less likely for a Froger in a predominantly liberal area to be filled with open/concealed carriers, which weakens @P. Smith's argument that, "Tennessee being a red state must be chalk full of good guys with guns."

Colliersville is somewhat liberal, and is in Shelby County which is strongly liberal.

A lot of liberals own guns, especially the ones that scream in America we need to get rid of them and abolish the 2nd amendment, but as with the mask situation, rules for me, but not for thee.

P. Smith,

According to this site, anyway:

It was this year that Tennessee removed its permit requirement for concealed carry, and anyone over 21 can carry a handgun without a permit in public if the gun is lawfully owned. Back in 2019 a new permit was introduced with fewer safety training requirements.

For its part, Kroger asks customers to not openly carry in its stores.

What?! Tennessee being a red state must be chalk full of good guys with guns. How ever did this happen with so many good guys with guns around?
