Biden won the elections because the majority no longer wanted Trump and everything he came with. A single term.

He didn't have much of a foreign policy. America First.

Not exactly. It was Trump First and nobody else. Remember all the vanity projects he wanted - Trump Garden, Mt. Rushmore carving, Ft. Trump in Poland, that stupid wall?

Bob FosseToday  07:19 am JST

Common sense, nice to see it affirmed.

Joe is acting like a President. Diplomatic. And he sure isn't sassing off his mouth about Lady Di either like TrumpChump did. Joe has more smarts and class than his predecessor ever will.

Biden has good intentions, so that’s nice.

But I can’t say I like the recent policies coming out of there, including this collusion with G7 on imposing minimum tax levels on activities that hire and employ workers (aka business).

It’s better for countries to set their policies independently, that way free earthlings have the option to vote with their feet.

But if people are to suffer government oppression and coercion everywhere, that’s really not a recipe that makes me think fondly of the US or any of the big nations who are talking about it, to be frank.

Fortunately I do not think it will last. Too many people value human freedom. Our governments are supposed to work for us, not the other way around.

Then he wouldn’t have 78 million followers if that were true

Hahaha. If Trump had 78 million followers, he wouldn't have had to close his blog.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Nah, Trump always puts himself first. He doesn't care about "the american people" and he never will.

Then he wouldn’t have 78 million followers if that were true. Good luck with the left and their failed efforts in trying to convince them that.

Yes indeed, it's a cult...

If you want to call it that and it helps the left to cope, whatever.

The guy "you love" doesn't think its over - glad you disagree with him...

Same goes for the left. Poor Manchin.

If you're referring to Russia as "the country", I absolutely agree with you...Putin was certainly refreshed when Trump said he believed him over our own intel experts...

And Biden is doing what about the hacking? He keeps saying he’s going to do something, so what and when? He’ll take care of it like the California speed rail….

The GOP is dead,

No, just the establishment seems to be gladly and finally coming to an end.

replaced by the FIP (Fascist Insurrectionist Party)....and Trump is cratering their chances in 2022 and 2024 by supporting non-electable fringe nuts...just ask Mitch.

Yeah, like Pelosi said, she’s deeply worried about 2022 with good reason and if I were her I’d be terrified of that growing prospect as well.

Lincoln

Not entirely true - Hannity (who is definitely a right wing hate machine) still calls him "Sippy Cup" (which is actually pretty good for an otherwise boring and rabid stiff).

And it is surely undeniable that Joe is a little bit slow and forgetful these days. Even his missus had to tell him to pay attention while she was speaking.

Personally i think he was useless long ago and is the epitome of a career pol who has achieved little but enrich himself and his nearest and dearest.

@Jsapc Bravo, you win the day with your Google research skills. I'd like to ask a favor for @dagon...could you please look up how many indigenous people were "actually killed" by the Keystone Pipeline project? Thanks buddy.

Well, we won’t stop loving the man....

Yes indeed, it's a cult...

...and we are not taking about who won, it’s over.

The guy "you love" doesn't think its over - glad you disagree with him...

You can say many things about Trump, but one thing that’s indisputable and irrefutable....

He lost the election fair and square - but still rants about the Big Lie to fleece his supporters out of more of their money...

Trump definitely put the country first and the people over Europe and that was refreshing.

If you're referring to Russia as "the country", I absolutely agree with you...Putin was certainly refreshed when Trump said he believed him over our own intel experts...

Now Biden is putting Europe before the US, but that’s ok, he’s helping to lay the ground work for a GOP House win, so good on Biden and his administration, it helps the GOP-2022

Of course it is more than obvious, a decent President, educated with common sense,

That depends on the people you’re asking.

honesty and true love for his country will raise the image and in this case the disastrous image that Trumpyclow left by devastating the country..

If Biden loved his country, then he would put America and Americans always first.

Dear Trumpybelievers, accept it and stop fighting, your beloved Trumpyclown lost and now someone who has what Trump does not have is in charge: Being a good human being. Get over it kids..

As an unnamed lawmaker from Johnson’s Conservative party said, “America should remember who their allies are... Unfortunately [Biden is] so senile that he probably won’t remember what we tell him anyway. Unless an aide is listening I'm not sure he’s going to remember for very long.”

Haven't you got the memo? The "Biden is senile" fantasy has been declared over by the far-right hate machine....it got no traction, in fact made them look like morons....

Marjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaetz are working on the next fairy tale....it may involve Biden taking Jewish-funded space lasers across state lines...

It was never American First, it was always Russia First...that's why Putin helped get him elected in 2016....

Trump won.

That's what Putin said....

That's what happens when you get rid of a 5-year old in the WH and replace him with an adult. Things get done.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

I hate to say this, but I do believe that most Americans do not care what any other country thinks about the US. over 60% don't have passports. Most have never left the USA.

It isn't surprising that someone being offensive isn't liked and that someone else being respectful, for the most part, it liked. Human nature.

The last President wasn't Presidential. He was petty. He failed 5th grade "Government" class in school. Nobody taught him to be nice to everyone, even when you disagree and it shows. Plus, he had a clear role in allowing 550K Americans to die from COVID and is still causing vaccine hesitancy from his ignorance. There's a psychological term for people who think they know more than they actually do. He's one of those.

The current President knows the rules, sometimes screws up, but he seems a decent man. I don't like many of his policies, but I don't think he's trying to harm the US, even if that is happening. His lack of leadership on immigration is really terrible, for example. Open borders isn't a policy we can continue. Fewer carrots and more sticks are necessary.

I'm not thrilled with the US Senate inserting pork mandates into the NASA budget either.

I'm not thrilled with the ongoing free vaccinations either. A time limit for tax-paid vaccines needs to happen and psychological incentives to become vaccinated, not buying beer or lottery tickets. More wasting of tax money. Our great-great-grandchildren will be paying for the spending happening today. That is unacceptable.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Trump won.

Still living in 2016, huh?

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Reality will soon set in once he destroys the US (and therefore the world) economy and starts a random war somewhere and let’s a few allies down.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

What a shocker. Are we really meant to believe that the president rolling over and letting Russia, China, and the EU trample all over our military and economic policies now would make those countries think twice about trying to take advantage of the US?

Can you give us examples of how exactly the EU is "trampling all over our military and economic policies"?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

He didn't have much of a foreign policy. America First.

Which I thought was absolutely fantastic and the reason why still millions like the guy because he put the US first before Europe which is a refreshment of every other previous President.

It was never American First, it was always Russia First...that's why Putin helped get him elected in 2016....

Any other reason the entire Russian Parliament gave him a standing ovation when he won in Nov 2016?

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/donald-trump-wins-us-election-russia-putin-result-a7406866.html

And it sure paid off for Putin;

Trump said Putin did "an amazing job of taking the mantle" when Russia annexed Crimea in 2014. During the 2016 presidential campaign, Trump broke with US policy and suggested he was OK if Russia kept the Ukrainian territory. He repeated a Kremlin talking point, saying, "The people of Crimea, from what I've heard, would rather be with Russia than where they were."

https://edition.cnn.com/2019/11/17/politics/trump-soft-on-russia/index.html

Thank goodness the Russian asset was turned out in Nov...and will soon be a guest of NY State for his crimes...

Why were you waiting to post this for years? This post should have been made in 2018.

Polls: U.S. image abroad has rebounded since Biden took office

On a personal level he's obviously a huge improvement on the subliterate criminal braggart who had the job before, but back in February he started bombing Syria. Plus ca change etc.

He'll get points for persuading Lying Johnson to adhere to the GFA and Brexit agreements, though.

Biden killing thousands of good paying U.S. jobs

The keystone pipeline didn't really give actual "good paying jobs", only very temporary ones.

https://www.statesman.com/story/news/politics/politifact/2021/01/22/keystone-pipeline-jobs-lost-joe-biden-executive-order-cancel-fact-check/6673822002/

In the report, the agency wrote that 10,400 estimated positions would be for seasonal construction work lasting four to eight-month periods. Since the State Department defines "job" as "one position that is filled for 1 year," that would equate to approximately 3,900 jobs over a two-year period.

In short: Most of the estimated jobs were temporary.

The State Department forecasted that no more than 50 jobs, some of which could be located in Canada, would be required to maintain the pipeline. Thirty-five of them would be permanent, while 15 would be temporary contractors.

Blacklabel: So what is the reason for people to speak about Trump in articles about Biden?

The article is a direct comparison of America's image under Biden vs Trump. Trump is mentioned several times in the article.

You are not a victim here.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

The same thing happened when Obama took over after Bush. Democrats just do it better.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

At least we know that Biden isn’t going to give flowers to Putin and tell the world he believes the kgb more than his own people. That alone will be a step closer n the right direction.

Biden killing thousands of good paying U.S. jobs = "smart step"? Thanks for proving the point of my original post. I'll check back in after lunch and see if you came up with any more Biden success stories.

If it is a choice between killing jobs and saving a people and culture that protest they are being literally killed by a project, choosing the former is a smart choice I would say?

Point refuted.

And I do not think you will come back after lunch with anything about the smart steps the bigliest brain made.

Try harder "Hiroshi".

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

As seen above, polls are only correct if you agree with them.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

@dagon What "smart steps" has sock-puppet Biden made...in foreign or domestic policy? I'm gonna go grab some breakfast and be back in an hour.

I'll bite though I probably shouldn't. Cancelling the Keystone Pipeline that resulted in abuse and sickness among the Native/Indigenous people in the area. Yes and some jobs do not excuse the damage to local people's lives and the environment. Jobs can be had elsewhere. Now how about 'ol 45?

7 ( +7 / -0 )

@dagon What "smart steps" has sock-puppet Biden made...in foreign or domestic policy? I'm gonna go grab some breakfast and be back in an hour.

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

If by "rebounded" you mean that other nations which are supposed to be partners go back to taking advantage of America, countries that are adversaries get stronger and China eats USA's lunch again? That rebound?

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

DT was ever only popular among certain people in certain parts of his own country and he was never very popular abroad. Biden is not shouting hate at the whole world and posting vitriol on Twitter every five minutes. This poll is no shocker and it's nice to have someone presidential in office once again.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

no one is fooled. Of course you love Joe, he gives you free stuff and says he expects nothing in return. America last policy. what’s not to love for a non American?

As opposed to those die hard Trump supporters who had to be satisfied with Trump's .01% buddies who got all the "free stuff" during his administration and content themselves with dog whistles and "owning the liberals" in a culture war.

Biden is imperfect, he has made some smart steps and backtracked too.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

He just gave 500 million vaccines to foreigners. For free.

The Biden administration is donating 500 million vaccines during a pandemic? That's terrible, what a mad man!

Please do keep up.

Back at you. Have you ever heard of soft power?

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Give it time.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Yet here you are commenting on what the Europeans think about the US.

I’m making a comment on the European press commenting on what they think, where the majority of Americans don’t think anything of what the Europeans think about us. Lol

He didn't have much of a foreign policy. America First.

Which I thought was absolutely fantastic and the reason why still millions like the guy because he put the US first before Europe which is a refreshment of every other previous President.

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

Ask the average American if they care, the vast majority would say, they don’t.

Nor be able to find France in a map.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

@Mr. Noidall

Why wouldn’t Biden improve America’s image abroad? He puts abroad first. I’m sure Americans’ image of America differs from that from abroad. Besides, Biden’s the greatest thing to happen since sliced bread.

When trump wanted "MAGA", 500,000 Americans died and millions of people around the world.

The only American who benefited was Trump and his golf courses.

9 ( +12 / -3 )

Ask the average American if they care, the vast majority would say, they don’t.

Which is a really odd thing to say considering how often Trump claimed the US was a laughing stock under Biden, and this sentiment was frequently repeated by Trump supporters.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

i told you what makes them happy

I'm not talking about foreigners. I'm talking about your fellow Americans. If the US were better off under Trump, why did most Americans never approve of Donald's "performance?"

10 ( +12 / -2 )

It always gets me when we are presented with news on what the Europeans think or how they view us. Ask the average American if they care, the vast majority would say, they don’t.
