"We've taken every precaution to thin out the number of individuals in all spaces at one time, and plan to keep outdoors space open and available to attendees, weather permitting," a State Department spokesperson said.

No, you haven't. Not having a party would be "every precaution."

Idiots.

100,000 people in hospitals with covid-19. 3,000 people dying every day.

No spreader events would be wise.

But it’s ok for the Democrats leaders to go out and party or be with their families? Gavin Newsom can live it up (and has he ever) and not care and being at a huge event, but Pompeo can’t?

No, that’s not OK.

And two wrongs don’t make a right.

No it's not and it will be remembered at the next election.

I actually agree with you, no why is it that the media is not coming down on all these Democrats that have to fight the very orders that they push on all of us, why aren’t they doing the job condemning their careless actions and why is there a complete silence on all of these people?

I hope so, because I will definitely remember.

Here's a crazy idea - no matter which party is in power, how about we don't spend thousands of tax payer's dollars on parties at the State Department?

So much for draining the swamp.

And why must we tax payers pay for a 900 person party—especially in the midst of a national economic crisis where so many are out of work, working reduced hours, businesses are shuttered or closed for good, and demand at food shelves is spiking?

I wouldn’t try to tell Pommy anytime out of fear of being droned. He does what he wants.

Boy, it would be a shame if Fat Mike got COVID. With his comorbidites, I’m sure he’d be just fine.

comorbidites

Oh my goodness that is the funniest thing I have read all week. I've been known to quip about the "illiterati" where I live but comorbidites is even better. Bravo!

As the virus continues to devastate the country and further weaken Trump's failed economy, Trump appointee Pompeo holds a super-spreader event which will further strain the country's healthcare systems and do even more damage to the economy.

Pompeo must be like so many others backing Trump who LOL at the messes their Trump has made and that he's leaving behind for Biden. While further damaging the country.

Trump and his Republicans are the greatest threat to US systems.
