'Brazil has been the epicentre of the Zika outbreak now affecting 58 countries and territories, with around 1.5 million people infected in the country since 2015.'

More likely with millions of people infected, this is an epidemic Brazil is a tropical country with many many mosquitoes! What if the visitor is pregnant but doesn't realise? What are the chances of being infected by a mosquito ? Extremely high.....

You should avoid Brazil in general right now - Zika outbreak, and crime and unemployment are extremely high.

Apparently anyone who approaches you in Brazil generally means trouble - there are a lot of people wearing motorcycle helmets who approach people and just rob you in broad daylight.
