This is one of the top five world news stories of March 20, 2010???

Wow. Slow day on Planet Earth.

I like Bullock. She is a great actress and she deserves better than this philandering motor cycle freak.

I love these words. Cheating. Unfaithful. Philandering. It makes it sound like it was something other than just having sex. One would think Americans would think to worry about more important things in marriage and what they consider to be newsworthy. But no, here they are all tied up in knots over the quenching of a physiological urge.

Oh well. It all comes to late to get heat off Tiger Woods. Makes you wonder who else is going to be having sex outside of marriage for Americans to get all surprised and shocked about, as if it never happened before.

"Jesse James"

Wasn't he a cowboy?

Oh people do spin around don't they? Sometimes I feel like I have twice as much time as other people do because they waste... well some of them... just HOURS a week paying attention to this.

It is all fixed. They both get press. She will find someone more famous so she can be more famous. He will write a book. Or something. Only their publicists know what they will do next. One thing's for sure... it will involve sex. Yippee.

Why do these people ever get married in the first place? If they're gonna have sex with other people and it is okay to do so, what is the meaning of marriage in the first place? Wasn't there at one point in time some form of sanctity in the concept of marriage? I guess there is no such thing as "till death do us part" anymore.

flavorflav, I see you are one of the people who think marriage is about sex, only about sex and nothing but sex. You too may get married one day, and if your wife just doesn't do it for you anymore, at all, after a few years don't act like you were not warned. For most men I know it is simply impossible to be sexually satisfied with the same woman over and over until they die which leaves only two options: sexual frustration or finding someone else to take care of that.

FYI marriage is about being able to save up enough money to get a house, split the mortgage payments and bills, get a better tax deduction, have someone there in emergencies, and to make a stable environment to raise kids. If you are lucky you will get a good friendship out of it too. But eternal sexual satisfaction? I only ever hear about that from rare guys who never really cared about sex much in the first place.

http://photos.tmz.com/galleries/all_hail_jesse_james_alleged_mistress -Just like Tiger Woods, it seems that many of these rich married guys go for the nasty chicks.

Sandra better get a few Yakuza tatoos to compete with these girls.

This post I agree with totally.

But this one is a terrible indictment of marriage. Not one word about a loving (none sexual loving) relationship. You make the entire thing sound like nothing more than a business arrangement. Wow! That is so sad. I hope you were joking, really I do.

But going back to your first post have you thought about the wording of the headline? “Private drama”. How private is it if it ends up as the headline of a news story? Doubtless it sells newspapers and doubtless that’s what it is all about. Famous or not I have to say I feel sorry for her, situations like this in any family are hard to get through without them being public.

haganah, what, you don't love your friends? I said if you are lucky you will get a good friendship out of it. I did not say love because it confuses people. There are many kinds of love, and marriage should be all about the familial kind of love, not the sexual. Sexual love is temporary and fleeting, but should be valued nontheless as its wonderful. But that requires finding new partners for most men I know.

It does not sound like James was poised to leave Bullock at all. It sounds like he was getting his sexual love the only way that would be satisfying; with someone else other than Bullock. Why that is so bewildering to people I have no idea.

I guess you don't, proving you are the Jesse James type. 'bewildering to people' actually is 'met with disapproval', indicating there are those who do not share your values.

that requires finding new partners for most men I know.

I suppose that includes yourself. And for every man like you and Jesse there are thousands who take their wedding vows seriously and are able to control themselves and refrain from lusting after other women than those they promised to be faithful to.
