Let these morons congregate together as long as they are forced to stay together for 14 days after the initial congregation. It’ll be like watching natural selection in fast forward.

Look at the last photo. These people are so stupid they use Buddhist swastikas when the are trying to call others nazis. Jesus Christ.

11 ( +22 / -11 )

Bonkers. It looks like a scene from the Walking Dead.

small-government groups, supporters of President Donald Trump, anti-vaccine advocates, gun rights backers and supporters of right-wing causes

Really? Who could have ever imagined it would be these people? Shocking...

17 ( +27 / -10 )

Wow, that photo....

14 ( +17 / -3 )

Why is anyone surprised. I expect nothing less from these people.

14 ( +22 / -8 )

I don't mind the idea of separating the country...pro Trump crowd can all skip the pandemic fears and social distancing and gather up. Please! Oh, and include Trump and Pence, it's not a Make America Stupid party without them.

9 ( +16 / -7 )

time to circle the wagons, load the shotguns and prepare to fight for individual freedoms. Bugger society and everyone else - big government is comin' to git us. Hilarious.....

5 ( +11 / -6 )

By now even the thickest should recognize the extreme monetary costs associated with the medical impacts of the virus.

I guess they're saying let the government continue to pay for risks I take.

While saying 'it's my right to risk OTHER people's health'.

Or maybe they're eugenicists saying 'it's only the elderly, ill and poor, so scr@w them'.

7 ( +13 / -6 )

None of that social distancing malarkey for these soon to be Darwin award winners

8 ( +14 / -6 )

It's either a free country or it isn't.

It is a free country but no freedom is absolute.

Freedom of Assembly means Freedom of Assembly.

I have the utmost respect for people when they stand up for their rights.

As do I, but only when those rights are truly threatened, like in Russia or China. Here, we have a temporary restriction on the ability to assemble.

8 ( +14 / -6 )

likely the most biased article I have ever seen

Naw, it ain't bias. The truth hurts, don't it.

12 ( +19 / -7 )

She has “no fear whatsoever” of contracting the virus, she said Thursday, dismissing it as hype.

Idiot.

10 ( +17 / -7 )

She has “no fear whatsoever” of contracting the virus, she said Thursday, dismissing it as hype.

And probably gets her info from a social media site pushing far right messages, RT, Breitbart, a telescamgelist. Hannity, Limbaugh, Alex Jones or others of their ilk. Fair enough. Free, for-profit press allows them to publish and broadcast. And she's probably one attacking something she calls 'the media'.

6 ( +14 / -8 )

Free speech, free assembly should be done and respected.... in enough social distance among participants.

Mullin said that she thought the risk posed by the coronavirus depends on an individual’s health and that people can take basic steps to protect themselves, including getting enough sleep, eating organic produce and getting outside.

“I mean, that’s where our tax dollars should be going. Eat broccoli,” she said.

Keeping social distance is far more vital to eating broccoli (my favorite, though).

10 ( +13 / -3 )

1) It takes a lot of courage to refuse to make any sacrifices at all for the good of the country during a time of crisis. So brave. During WWII the Americans who refused to ration or contribute to the war effort were remembered as heroes. Right?

2) Ah the irony, disrupting business to protest the disruption of business.

3) Also, ironic that these are the same people that would push their way to the front of the "HELP ME, I HAVE COVID-19" line...

4) trump supporters (Michigan militia) defying the stay at home order to own the Libs and get the Coronavirus.

5) Instead of protesting the rules trying to keep them safe, why don't they advocate that the Federal government put a push on testing.

And these are the "Darwin Award" winners that will prolong the stay at home order.

8 ( +15 / -7 )

Let's just hope that they don't end up all getting sick like other places that ignored social distance warnings. I know that some may wish it to occur as a "karma" kind of thing. But death and more sick to take care of is the last thing we need. Pray that they understand this before it's too late instead.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

Errr...it’s ok for these valiant folks to spearhead Trump’s march for an early grand reopening and end the lockdown stat!

When the number of body bags exceeds that of Italy, Spain and China combined their Commander -in -Chief will always have the WHO, China and Dr. Fauci to blame! Lol!

2 ( +8 / -6 )

I don’t even know where to begin so I’ll start by commenting on the stupidity of carrying an assault weapon. Because nothing defeats a public health crisis like a goober with an AR.

And you just know these people are gonna no to be begging for help in 5-14 days when they cannot breathe on their own....

8 ( +13 / -5 )

Let's just hope that they don't end up all getting sick like other places that ignored social distance warnings.

Stupid is as stupid does.

4 ( +10 / -6 )

Let's compare the Republican Gov. of South Dakota that defied the lockdown

South Dakota Gov. Noem, who opposed stay-home order, now faces coronavirus hot spot

https://www.yahoo.com/news/south-dakota-gov-noem-opposed-225705674.html

Over 500 employees at the Smithfield pork-processing plant have tested positive for the virus, and the factory, which employs 3,700 people, was shuttered until further notice over the weekend. Over 100 nonemployees in the area have gotten sick after having come into contact with the plant workers, the Argus Leader newspaper reported, citing data from the state Health Department.

South Dakota has become one of the fastest growing hot spots in U.S., even as other parts of nation see their epidemics start to level off or slow.

10 ( +12 / -2 )

just want to have their rights restored and have the ability to work to provide for their families.

and probably aren't concerned one iota about risking other's health and then expect the government they claim to hate to pay for the health treatments. I've long known many like these people. Remember, there are American posters on this board who've grown up, gone to school with, worked with, and lived near people like those in the picture. Not all of them are 'fine people'.

4 ( +9 / -5 )

Nice of them to bring the kids along to the Corona party.

4 ( +9 / -5 )

Small groups of rightwing extremists some waving the confederate flag and carrying guns.

Michigan are small groups? Confederates?

These are Trump's nutter supporters. God bless free speech, I guess?

So what’s wrong with denying someone to buy a garden hose, put the Trump hating cap down for a second. Why? A garden hose.

These are the people you don't invite to a party

Michigan is a Republican state.

-20 ( +3 / -23 )

Well done Americans for defending the Rights your grandfathers fought and died for.

I seriously doubt any one of their grandfathers died for their right to refuse to vaccinate their children and congregate during a pandemic. If anything, their grandfathers would have actually killed to have the vaccines we have today.

9 ( +12 / -3 )

Just look at the picture - a bunch of MAGA-hat wearing, unhinged lunatics...the same bunch that when interviewed said they blame Obama for "not being at his desk" during the Sept 11th 2001 attacks...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzDhm808oU4

These are the people that sit in front of Fox News all day and get fed hate, fear, and the wildest conspiracy theories this side of the X-Files...

And in their basements are arsenals full of guns...

Putin really got his money's worth when he help elect a third-rate reality TV host in 2016...he couldn't have done anything worse to harm America...

12 ( +15 / -3 )

It’s not about rights now but self sacrifice and cooperation. The past weeks’ efforts will be wasted if people start gathering and up the infectious rate again.

12 ( +14 / -2 )

Looking at the photograph.

"Hey there are zombies at the door with U.S flags and Trump caps!"

"Don't worry. They are beautiful people and ther will go away when the weather gets warmer."

8 ( +11 / -3 )

It’s not about rights now but self sacrifice and cooperation

Passed that stage. Trump was handing out goodies weeks ago. The goods arent getting down to the people due to the usual incompetence/buffoonery that is at the city and state level

They should hire these people to staff the unemployment and state offices 24/7, instead I bet those useless offices (according to experienced precedent) are working reduced office hours.

-7 ( +4 / -11 )

I say let them all get together for as long as they want. Just don't involve anyone else.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

But the repubs have secured your check and raises every year.

Oh yeah, the republicans are always on the side of the poor and needy, that's their most famous trait. They always fight for the little guy, never for richest people and the elite. They never ever cut taxes for the rich only, basing all of their policies on a "trickle-down" idea that has been proven time and again to not work, ever.

8 ( +10 / -2 )

It's either a free country or it isn't.

Freedom of Assembly means Freedom of Assembly.

The shelter-in-place is only meant to be temporary to try to lower the curve to help out hospitals manage the inflow of patients. I absolutely value the freedom that we enjoy from but a little sacrifice short-term is better than seeing the same results we saw with pandemics such as the Bubonic plague or the 1918 flu pandemic. Let's learn from our history otherwise we're bound to repeat the same mistakes.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Its the repubs who secure pensions and bennies for military folks. If the IRS cant collect, who gonna pay the retirees? I dont think I would be biting the hand that feeds me.

-11 ( +2 / -13 )

Let's learn from our history otherwise we're bound to repeat the same mistakes.

I agree. But you probably have met people like those in the picture. They claim 'get govt off my back', 'my rights' allow them to do whatever. And then when they do something that goes south they not only blame the govt, but expect the govt to pick up after them and even pay for the messes they made. There might be some 'fine people' in that group, just not many.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Uh, you do know that Trump and the Repubs gave the Top 1% the biggest tax break in history - all paid for on the nation's credit card, i.e, national debt?

And you do know that Trump and the Repubs just sponsored the largest socialist bailout ever, over a trillion dollars, all on the nation's credit card, i.e., national debt?

Well you dont need to concern yourself with that. Your check got waaaay bigger due to Trumps military budget..right? You complaining about that? If you so bent on fiduciary prudence, just go ahead and return it back to the treasury.

-13 ( +2 / -15 )

I appreciate the lecture lincoln,

Thank you for acknowledging Trump's tax breaks for the rich on top of a 'socialist' bailout have further reduced the nation's revenues.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

And those militia scum are terrorists and traitors!

And remember the others in the pict also hate govt. These are the same people that want Trump to keep undermining the principles the nation was built on. Trump supporters are at heart (which they don't have) anti- American

3 ( +7 / -4 )

That photo is a glimpse into our evolutionary past.

9 ( +12 / -3 )

The repubs and Trump have been pro military since day 1; all of your pay raises, benefits like commissary and base privileges, that stuff isnt free, somebody is paying for it.

so you, by extension of being a retired military man, support them? No? Then why collect?

I dont get why your always bashing the "Orange" one, when you, especially you, benefit from his policies.

-14 ( +4 / -18 )

Republican logic at its finest!

The Trump generation Republicans are anti-American.

There is no logic to their ways.

Again, if they wish to embrace the opportunity to catch the virus, that is their right. Regards of their job status, beliefs or standing in society.

But if they could stay away from everyone else, that would be marvelous.

3 ( +8 / -5 )

The repubs and Trump have been pro military since day 1

There are Republican Trump worshippers on this very website who say that US soliders are expendable idiots and that they laugh when they die.

Right wing "pro-military" stances is just far-right virtue signalling.

7 ( +11 / -4 )

The pictures help to identify people to stay away from.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

There are Dem loving rappers that have that also. Whats your point?

-12 ( +3 / -15 )

Does anyone else think these people look like zombies?

5 ( +9 / -4 )

While many Americans are filled with fear, Melissa Ackison says the coronavirus pandemic has filled her with anger. The stay-at home orders are government overreach, the conservative Ohio state Senate candidate says, and the labeling of some workers as “essential” arbitrary.

Trump supporter logic - its "overeach" to label some workers, like health care professionals, as essential - DURING A PANDEMIC....

“It enrages something inside of you,” said Ackison, who was among those who protested Republican Gov. Mike DeWine’s orders at the statehouse in Columbus with her 10-year-old son. She has “no fear whatsoever” of contracting the virus, she said Thursday, dismissing it as hype.

Repub dissing a fellow Repub - things getting bad in GOP-land. And the virus is hype and nothing to fear? Sounds like a super-spreader to me...

5 ( +8 / -3 )

PTownsendToday 12:32 pm JSTjust want to have their rights restored and have the ability to work to provide for their families.

and probably aren't concerned one iota about risking other's health and then expect the government they claim to hate to pay for the health treatments. I've long known many like these people. Remember, there are American posters on this board who've grown up, gone to school with, worked with, and lived near people like those in the picture. Not all of them are 'fine people'.

These screaming loudmouths in the picture are followers, not individuals. They always cry about 'their rights' and no one else's. They are usually churlish in everyday life and often shout at anyone they can. It makes them feel good, telling themselves these delusions of hatred. They really hate their miserable ill-mannered selves. And they're sociopathic ignoramuses not fit for civil debates.

He’s still President, if he weren’t exonerated, he’d be out of a job.

Trump was put in by Putin and he is a Russian sputnik. He never worked an honest day in his pathetic misbegotten life. Ever.

9 ( +12 / -3 )

And the virus is hype and nothing to fear? Sounds like a super-spreader to me...

Probably can't understand 'asymptomatic carrier'. Not just the science side of it, but the language.

6 ( +10 / -4 )

@gogogo

The braindead, not the undead.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

Repub dissing a fellow Repub - things getting bad in GOP-land. And the virus is hype and nothing to fear? Sounds like a super-spreader to me...

Things are getting bad in America land, lincoln man. Spend time in the private sector, work for a company, start a biz, see how thing really work. You have to borrow to make pay roll, then that income dries up. Trump really cared about these people, then this calamity struck.

People are dealing with that. We all appreciate your service, but your getting a check secured by those people who pay taxes, and voted for Repubs who pass legislature where you may get more cost of living allowances...to live in Japan.

Profound.

I dont quite get your complaints, but maybe you know something I dont.

-13 ( +3 / -16 )

SuperLibToday 01:32 pm JSTThe pictures help to identify people to stay away from.

You mean 'stay away from' in everyday life, amiright? They're the type that you don't invite to any social get-together. They're so ignorant, overbearing, ignorant and obnoxious.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

@TheLongTermer

There are Dem loving rappers that have that also. Whats your point?

Not much logic i your argument, so now you are resorting to what you consider to be an insult! Republican logic at its finest!

What is your point?

6 ( +8 / -2 )

The toxicity level in the comment section is worst than covid-19

2 ( +4 / -2 )

The repubs and Trump have been pro military since day 1; all of your pay raises, benefits like commissary and base privileges, that stuff isnt free, somebody is paying for it.

Most Americans are pro-military. Taxpayers pay for those benefits, so I’m not sure why you’re trying to give Donny credit.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

The Trump generation Republicans are anti-American.

Quite the very opposite.

There is no logic to their ways.

Again, if they wish to embrace the opportunity to catch the virus, that is their right. Regards of their job status, beliefs or standing in society.

But if they could stay away from everyone else, that would be marvelous

Republicans and Conservatives are extremely patriotic, but if they work in the service industry and need to go back to work and have been tested and found to be negative, they should be allowed to go back to work especially if they built up antibodies and others will stay at home, so neither side wants to catch the virus.

-12 ( +4 / -16 )

What I find most ironic here, is that we're over 30K fatalities due to Corona - a statistic that will forever be tied to Trump's legacy - just like impeachment...

And by flagrantly and violently opposing the mitigation measures that would help keep this figure from increasing, his supporters are adding to this number, perhaps even ensuring they themselves will become part of this statistic..

And as the number of fatalities grows higher and higher, it provides all the more evidence of Trump being the most disastrous President in US history...

6 ( +10 / -4 )

@Black

such unbridled hate and derision here of other human beings who just want to have their rights restored and have the ability to work to provide for their families.

Read about what happened when the county opened back up after the 1918 pandemic. The flu came back in a second wave with a vengeance, much worse than the first wave and killed Millions worldwide. This current situation should be very very careful and take things slowly until more testing etc is fully in place. A few months shutdown in the big picture is a short amount of time when you consider if it was worse the country could be shutdown for much longer.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

When the number of body bags exceeds that of Italy, Spain and China combined their Commander -in -Chief will always have the WHO, China and Dr. Fauci to blame! Lol!

Don't forget Hillary too. She's to blame for this pandemic too.

I said it before, but there's a reason why Russia and China are secretly loving the fact that Trump is the POTUS. Do Russians and Chinese eat popcorn?

9 ( +10 / -1 )

Wow! America needs such brave and energetic bunch of people right now!

Trump should send them to work at any NYC hospitals asap!

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Well, it’s hard to debate any liberal when you’re not allowed to respond. Conservatives will debate any liberal as long as they’re no drive-by or pot shots. What liberals want and only want is a one-sided echo hate chamber to bash the President and if you have an opposing viewpoint, we just won’t tolerate it. That’s not free speech nor is it tolerant. The people want to work, whether Trump supporters or haters, it doesn’t matter, people are getting sick and tired of being at home and these people want to get out and these people want to go back to work and they should go back to work and good on this president for trying to help them to get back to work, we cannot have a country that is completely shut down, if we do then we will be in a recession and it will be that much harder to recover, now for the Democrats it would be a great thing if Trump would continue to shut down for 18 months, that would help the Democrats and if we can prove that these people built antibodies in their system and that these people don’t have to worry about being reinfected, they should be able to go back to work if they can as long as they hold the date lines and continue to have up to date monitoring.

Pro-Trump protesters push back on stay-at-home orders

And after catching a few minutes of Fox News, as expected, these anarchists are being portrayed as courageous patriots, rather than the anti-government, law-breaking, violent mob that they are....

One can only imagine what Fox will call them when they return with their AR15s and drum magazines...

Violent chaos - its better than Putin could have ever hoped for...

7 ( +10 / -3 )

These nutters look like something out of a zombie movie. Just ghoulish.

9 ( +12 / -3 )

During the Korea War, the US lost 33K personnel...

During the Vietnam War, US loses were 58K...

Last week US deaths due to Corona were 18K, within one week that has now almost doubled to over 30K...

It's clear that Corona will surpass Korea, and likely surpass Vietnam in total US fatalities...

Truman lost in 1952, LBJ chose not to run in 1968...

For our current self-proclaimed "Wartime President", history will no doubt play out the same in 2020...

They are deplorable.

Really......?

Federal employee retirement benefits would be cut under Trump’s budget

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/federal-employee-retirement-benefits-would-be-cut-under-trumps-budget/2020/02/10/879ec19e-4c2d-11ea-9b5c-eac5b16dafaa_story.html

In addition to cutting pensions for federal workers in all departments, Trump is also trying to bankrupt the US Postal Service. Anyone who is American and has friends and family working for the post office knows that a large population of Postal employees are veterans.

7 ( +10 / -3 )

The photo looks like a still from a MAGA Zombies USA schlockumentary. Back in the real world, they must have been bitten by Orange-16, or infected by Shawn Insanity's FOX virus.

8 ( +10 / -2 )

You have stated the opposite about the Japanese pandemic calling for a complete shutdown.

Correct:

*I think it’s very possible, given the fact that there is less testing and the fact that the government is completely inapt in not strictly enforcing the rules of social distancing and doing a complete lockdown to try and contain the virus as closely as they can get it and the fact that there are no tests that they take to determine whether a person has “had” The disease or if they currently have it and they never mentioned about using the antibodies to the system in giving them to people that have a weak immune system. Therefore we really don’t know the exact numbers of how many people are infected or how many people have died from it already, but I definitely think that the pandemic can be a lot worse in Japan, especially that Japan is not doing a good job at trying to delegate how and which is the best way to contain this virus.*

“Michigan is a Republican State”

Um, no no it’s not it has a Democratic Governor and Both Senators are Democrats. 6 of 14 Representatives are Republican, 1 is Independent, 7 are Democrats.

It’s historically a Democratic State that Trump won by the skin of his teeth due to the unpopularity of Clinton and a lot of targeted Russian disinformation.

Those people now know what a fool he really is and I predict that Biden is going to beat him like a drum.

Another snake oil salesman.

Amazing that some people are profiting from the pandemic.

The Ohio event earlier this week brought together a collection of anti-vaccine advocates, Second Amendment supporters, tea party activists and other anti-government activists.

Tells you all you need to know, doesn't it?

I see, but like most things you post, you left out a very important part.

The numbers in Italy Iran China Britain, South Africa and more....were initially quite high, Lincolnman, even more than the US.

They dont count? Boris Johnsons leadership, doesnt count?

Oh, I get it. They were all influenced by Trump.

You posted Trump had a gold seat toilet. So do allot of folks, including Democrats.

You honestly think a lot of people have golden toilet seats?

I hope that none of them catch coronavirus from congregating like this. In fact, a couple of cans of tear gas would have helped them disperse and stay virus free. And provide us with a much-needed moment of comedy in these dark times.
