When you wade through and past all the other BS, those signs tell you the simple truth.

6 ( +10 / -4 )

Worst President ever; Days without being a national embarrassment... zero.

9 ( +13 / -4 )

The flags on the protester's placard are upside down.

Happen to know the significance of an upside down flag?

4 ( +10 / -6 )

Trump, meanwhile, was in Florida.

Kind'a says it all doesn't it... Donnie the Dimwit declares illegal immigration is a national emergency, then gets on AF 1 and goes to play golf at Mar-A-Lago, where he gets his food served by and room cleaned by illegal immigrant labor...

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/12/06/us/trump-bedminster-golf-undocumented-workers.html

You can't make this stuff up....

6 ( +10 / -4 )

A crowd of “hundreds” sponsored by a left leaning political organization. When Trunp wasn’t even home. That’s super effective.

-8 ( +6 / -14 )

Yes and upside down flag means an indication of extreme danger to life or property.

Kinda like in a “national emergency”

Oh he'll still tweet some nonsense about it so you can guarantee it'll get his attention. Effective enough

6 ( +10 / -4 )

Waste of time. Trump signed. No wall. Moving on.

5 ( +10 / -5 )

You were correct to put national emergency in quotes given Trump himself admitted there was no emergency in his hour-long ramble that eventually lost out to the Pribe is Right.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

Trump is on good legal ground, all he has to do is wait until this gets to the Supreme Court or he can veto any measure the Dems throw at him to stop this. You’d think the socialists had something better to do like.....working, probably a difficult thing to do. Wonder if protesters get taxed a lot.....

-10 ( +5 / -15 )

There will be a wall. That’s why you are all concerned about the national emergency declaration and desperately searching for any way to block it. No Hawaii judge this time.

-8 ( +5 / -13 )

Indeed, there will be a wall.

-8 ( +4 / -12 )

Donny boi is working hard hes off playing golf while these protesters are protesting

That’s the idea of having a small government, it should run effectively and efficiently with less people. When you have a giant government and the giant apparatus Working the system, that’s how the monkey wrench gets thrown in the gum works.

anyhow makes one think it might be Sunday when most folk dont work....they probably do get tax a bucket load they don't seem like they are in the top 1%...you got something against free speech by the looks of it...

Not at all, it think it’s funny when you have people that don’t live near or know anything about the border giving their 2cents. I find it funny as well as entertainingly amusing.

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

Nobody outraged on our side. We are perfectly happy with getting the wall we voted for.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

bass: Not at all, it think it’s funny when you have people that don’t live near or know anything about the border giving their 2cents.

Just in case you missed it the first time...

Every member of the House, both blue and red, that are on the border, do not support a wall. And this was the result of an election 4 months ago.

Sinema in AZ just got elected to the Senate campaigning on no wall. She beat a Trump supporting GOP candidate who was for the wall. Both Senators in California are against the wall. Both Senators in New Mexico are against the wall. Both Senators from Texas were against the wall, and now they're suddenly for it. "It" meaning supporting Trump.

A majority of people in Arizona do not support the wall. A vast majority did not support the shutdown over the wall. It's the same in California. It's the same in New Mexico. It's the same in Texas. When you see polls showing anything close to supporting the wall, it's driven by people who don't live here. Perhaps Maine.

The Border Patrol Union was against a "wasteful wall," saying employers should be the focus. That was until January 4, when their new leader, a Trump supporter, suddenly reversed all of that. So that's some solid evidence for your side, a reversal from 6 weeks ago.

The DHS has been caught presenting misleading statistics about terrorists entering the country and the southern border. That's their position....to lie for Trump to create fear out of thin air. Politics.

Ha-Ha ..... look at the liberals in meltdown mode again. Crybabies. Kavanaugh & Gorsuch will over rule 9th Circus Courts.

A fake crisis, a fake emergency and the best the far right can do is bait liberals?

All that money being wasted when there's real problems to deal with in the troubled US.

I thought Mexico were going to pay?

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Democratically elected promising to build the wall thingy.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

A crowd of “hundreds” sponsored by a left leaning political organization

Fake news. There were millions. The largest ever crowds assembled in US cities. Some were even dancing on rooftops.

The emergency powers act Congress passed in 1976 was intended to give the president flexibility to deal with a real emergency; this is because congress functions slowly. In the dozens of times it's been used, that has been the case.

It was not intended to give the president ability to ignore the expressed will of congress and to date never has. All who support Trump's actions here clearly care nothing for law or the Constitution. Likely, this event will end up defining Trump's presidency in the history books: The man who stumbled into a Constitutional crisis - and lost.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

build the wall.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

Expanding on Laguna's comment (my opinion)...Is illegal immigration a problem? Yes

Is it a national emergency warranting invocation of the Emergency Powers Act? I do not think so

This is a problem in the U.S. and the U.S. leadership (for various reasons) has kicked this can down the road over and over again.

I am no fan of Trump at all but one must admit Trump did not create this problem; he inherited it. My issue with Trump is the way he is dealing with it.

The calls of "racism" against those wanting border controls are tiresome (I am rather liberal and I see this as a problem). Just look up the derivation of the derogatory term "wetback" first invoked by Cesar Chavez and the farm workers as a protest against those crossing the border illegally and breaking their strike over the concern of driving down their wages. I remember when I was living in California in the 70's. Most liberals in California supported Chavez (I was there).

What bothers me about this issue now is that Trump has caused severe damage to a cause of which he indicates he supports and has actually taken us further away from really solving this problem.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Nobody outraged on our side. We are perfectly happy with getting the wall we voted for.

Except that the wall you voted for was to be paid for by Mexico.

Every member of the House, both blue and red, that are on the border, do not support a wall. And this was the result of an election 4 months ago.

They don’t live along the border and why would they support it and give Trump a win, they supported it in 2013 and guess what, if we have in future another Democrat President and they would support a wall, every Trump hater and Dem supporter would approve, so save it, please....

A majority of people in Arizona do not support the wall.

And many more do, I was in Arizona 3 years ago, the people I interviewed were for it, we conducted not a large interview, but at least 47 and these people Have legitimate concerns, so once again, the liberals are conducting a one-sided opionated poll.

A vast majority did not support the shutdown over the wall. It's the same in California.

Not along the border, they overwhelmingly do want a border, I lived there, have family there, but yes, every liberal politician in that State doesn’t want it and I hope they take them all in. They deserve it, just leave the rest of us alone.

That’s not actually true at all

The DHS has been caught presenting misleading statistics about terrorists entering the country and the southern border. That's their position....to lie for Trump to create fear out of thin air. Politics.

Ahhh...like the FBI has been caught misleading the public with a witch hunt?

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

Indeed, there will be a wall.

nah first Trump has to get past all the legal battles and land owner claims, if he manages to do that then he has to get past voter backlash come 2020, highly doubtful he could get even a partial wall finished in that time frame. Majority of senate seats up for grabs in 2020 are republican, history shows if harder to retain seats than it is to lose them, midterms is also proof of that.

We are perfectly happy with getting the wall we voted for.

I want to see if Werner (the company that makes ladders) is happy with the new stock price they are getting. Also, will be good for the shoe business since it's such a short wall Mexicans can simply walk around. The 2,000 mile x 50 ft wall is expected to be finished around the year 2100.

 lived there, have family there

Me too with my extended family and we never see illegals. I have several houses along the US/Mexican border.

just leave the rest of us alone.

I have several houses along the Mexican border from Texas to California and I don't want an ugly wall spoiling my view from my back yard.

Bass: They don’t live along the border

The people who live in Congressional districts on the border live along the border. They are against the wall. Majorities in California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas do not support the wall.

Superlib: A majority of people in Arizona do not support the wall.

Bass: And many more do

How much more than the majority?

I was in Arizona 3 years ago

I live here full time.

Not along the border, they overwhelmingly do want a border

The people who live in Congressional districts on the border live along the border. They do not want a wall.

You are the minority in every measurable way. Along the border. In the states on the border. In the entire US. A majority did not support Trump shutting down the government. A majority do not support an national emergency to get a wall.

There is no injustice in you not getting a wall.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

As Toasted said - "I thought Mexico were going to pay?"

This needs to be repeated every day of every week of every month.

Countless times I saw the Big One rally his troops at his "You can't always get what you want" events, (apologies to the Stones) banging out loud -

"Who's gonna pay for the Wall?" And the reply by 10,000s X 100 times was always -

"MEXICO, MEXICO, MEXICO............."

This is not a mistake. This is not fake news. It is available for the world to see in it's raw original form.

So millions voted for Trump because He Said "Mexico will Pay for His Wall".

So this news topic shouldn't even be a topic. There should be no squabbling over securing funds as he was elected democratically by the people on his promise of a Mexico funded wall. He said "And oh they will pay".

No wonder Ann Coulter (bless her lil heart) just today called this Trump's "Yellow New Deal". Classic. rofl.

The people who live in Congressional districts on the border live along the border. They are against the wall. Majorities in California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas do not support the wall.

...Until you dig deeper and see the reality, why the media doesn’t talk about these findings?

https://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/terence-p-jeffrey/579-illegals-caught-southwest-border-fy17-not-mexicans

How much more than the majority?

When have the msm ever told the truth? Why do they all share the same talking points with the Democrats? I find it odd.

I live here full time.

As do I 6 months of the year in California.

The people who live in Congressional districts on the border live along the border. They do not want a wall.

I beg to differ. Hmmm...the liberal facts don’t support the overall narrative, not surprisingly.

https://thehill.com/opinion/immigration/350217-americans-support-a-border-wall-more-than-the-media-wants-to-believe.

You are the minority in every measurable way. Along the border.

I don’t think so.

There is no injustice in you not getting a wall.

Not only is it justified, but a necessity. But given the fact that so many Americans are hooked on opioids and Democrats can muster more votes with the border open, it makes sense.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

When have the msm ever told the truth?

please compared to Trump and his compulsory daily proven lies , theyre saints.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

please compared to Trump and his compulsory daily proven lies , theyre saints

Oh, I doubt that, the retractions from the msm are coming at a more alarming rate. Zucker and Griffin must be proud of their staff. No wonder their slipping. Anyway, let them take Trump to court, now that the courts are swinging back to the right, it should be a breeze for him to win.

This is it - DT has just gained another $1billion plus, not to mention the upgrades on existing walls already or nearly completed.

@bunggnbuh A patriot indeed.

Excellent observation! She's out exercising her 1st Amendment rights, showing her patriotism is premised on principles, not on allegiance to the authorities and the military.

It must be tough for people from nations where opposition is stifled by the state to watch peaceful protests where individuals assemble to challenge the authorities. Are you envious they're able to do so, or do you want to see them quashed.
