The DoJ isn't going to play around. Hopefully Trump and fiends (no "r") will be held accountable for their attack an American democracy, and our constitutional rights.

AG Garland yesterday made the rare public statement yesterday after the verdict saying (not an exact quote, apologies) "3 juries have now have now held those responsible for January 6th accountable and OUR WORK CONTINUES."

Garland is coming and he's not moving down the chain. He's moving up.

This means you Ruddy, Sydney, Mike Flynn, Mark Medows. And yes, This means Cheeto jesus.

The boots have been and are now being held to account. Next come the suits.

The money/kill shot quote:

“So someone like Tarrio doesn’t have to actually participate in the riot itself and can still be held accountable,” Eliason said. “The same is true of people in the White House”

Donald J. Trump, if you thought E. Jean Carole made your life unpleasant, just sit tight. You haven't seen anything yet.

Long prison terms coming.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

The not so proud anymore boys can join Elmer Rhoads in and his "Oaf Creepers" in Trump tower Leavenworth for a decades long stay.

Get comfy, "bois", you're going to be there a while.

And if someone at DOJ offers you a shorter term in exchange for critical info on the insurrectionist in chief, take it. He's not coming to your rescue even if he were to be elected (he's not), and he wouldn't hesitate to throw you under the bus to save himself.

Tarrio’s lawyers, however, sought to use Trump as part of his defense, claiming the former president was to blame and that prosecutors were trying to use Tarrio as a scapegoat for the president — an argument jurors appear to have roundly rejected.

In before the usual " but what about the Dems, the left, BLM, ANTIFA"...

And it touches upon the stuttering of "the left" for any and all pushback against Trump and conservative policies.

I would reckon that out of all those who post on these threads critiquing Trump the label "the left" would only apply to me. You wouldn't know that by the way the term is thrown around so haphazardly.

Most posters here not MAGA, anti-vax or Putin trolls seem to be fairly conservative or traditional old school liberals.

Of course the reason is the same as with Trump's constant name-calling. There is a profound lack of substantive logical argument to refute others assertions in debate so this tactic is a megaphone that can reach a certain audience.

Trump famously told the Proud Boys in a debate to "stand by" and we he told them to fight on Jan. 6 they did.

ANTIFA or such actual "leftists" or as likely to flip the bird to any marching orders from Biden or the Dems as from Trump.

One of the key American social problems is labeling anything other than gun-toting, fundamentalist corporate profit worshiping as an enemy and "the left".

Guilty, Guilty, Guilty, Guilty.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

So it wasn't Trump after all.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

This means you Ruddy, Sydney, Mike Flynn, Mark Medows. And yes, This means Cheeto jesus.

Hardly

The boots have been and are now being held to account. Next come the suits.

The Senate doesn’t look good for the GOP going into 2024 and should the GOP retake the Senate the Dems are in a world of hurt, Garland knows this, so the pendulum swings both ways ALWAYS. Go for it Garland. You want to make this political, fine.

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

20 years and he wasn’t even in that state.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

20 years and he wasn’t even in that state.

Conspire to commit a crime and it is the same as committing the crime itself. Trump should also be considered as having conspired in this.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

The Senate doesn’t look good for the GOP going into 2024 and should the GOP retake the Senate the Dems are in a world of hurt

This has as much to do with anything as you know about American jurisprudence. Which is to say not a thing.

You want to make this political, fine.

This is criminal, not political. You are attempting to make it political because the law, the facts and the momentum are all going against you and your narcissistic sociopath.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

So it wasn't Trump after all.

Yeah, if that helps you exist in objective reality, keep telling yourself that.

Meanwhile "Our work continues" says America's tip law enforcement officer.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

20 years and he wasn’t even in that state.

We don't look too kindly on seditious conspiracy. Does your home country take it lightly?

5 ( +5 / -0 )

The Senate doesn’t look good for the GOP going into 2024 and should the GOP retake the Senate the Dems are in a world of hurt

You notice that it doesn't argue the facts or the law.

It just warns "If you hold Trump to account and the GQP wins the Senate, THEN you'll be sorry! In essence this is a threat of political retribution against the DOJ for enforcing the law.

And then it accuses others of trying to " make it political".

Go for it Garland. You want to make this political, fine.

Your whole judiciary is inherently "political."

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Trump was the ringleader.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Keep locking these losers up. I'm lovin' it!

6 ( +7 / -1 )

3 different juries have found these goobers guilty of sedition and other serious crimes for which they are going to jail for a VERY long time.

Guess the juries were political too, eh?

3 ( +5 / -2 )

things will change when this administration is gone. The lawsuits will be flying off the shelves.

Indictments have to be built on evidence, not just retribution fantasies.

There’s plenty of evidence against Trump. Gym Jordan ‘n’ little friends have zilch. Just look at the record.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Keep locking these losers up. I'm lovin' it!

I'm with ya--Summer of 2020 and violent BLM protesters--throw away the key.

Mentally deranged on NY subways---mete out the punishment.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

And under "the hits just keep on coming for Cheeto Jesus", his deposition was made public today.

THAT'S not a good look.

AND, 8, (EIGHT!) fake electors have just agreed to an immunity feel in exchange for their testimony in GA.

I bet that's" political " too.....

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Indictments have to be built on evidence, not just retribution fantasies.

You would think so.

There’s plenty of evidence against Trump.

Where, what? 7 years and investigation after investigation, special counsel, impeachments, acquittals….yeah, sure…evidence…ok

Gym Jordan ‘n’ little friends have zilch.

Ahhh, like with Trump, that’s what I mean!

Just look at the record.

I think YOU need to look at the record. Lol

Guess the juries were political too, eh?

They certainly were in Trump's two Senate impeachment trials.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

How come liberals are getting so triggered by this?

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

Not me, but things will change when this administration is gone. The lawsuits will be flying off the shelves.

If they have a case why do they have to wait until 2024 and the "administration is gone?"

By the election, these people will be abandoned and forgotten. Canon fodder.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

How come repubs are getting so triggered by this?

1 ( +4 / -3 )

They certainly were in Trump's two Senate impeachment trials.

Which folded like soufflé

By the election, these people will be abandoned and forgotten. Canon fodder.

By the Dems, I won’t argue with you on that.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

They aren't. And this is an issue for Americans.

Go prepare for the King's coronation, or check out a Monty Python movie.

DS.

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

They aren't. And this is an issue for Americans.

> Go prepare for the King's coronation, or check out a Monty Python movie.

> DS.

ROFL! Broken clock again.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

How come liberals are getting so triggered by this?

Its the pure joy of seeing justice done to seditionist traitors who will get what's coming to them for their explicitly stated and poorly executed plan to overthrow American democracy.

Its also the determination to see the insurrectionist in chief who planned and instigated the failed coup held to account.

And if you think we are determined, just wait until you meet one J. Smith.

You're going to LOVE him.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

And if you think we are determined, just wait until you meet one J. Smith.

Like Weismann? Lol, sure! Go for it.

"They certainly were in Trump's two Senate impeachment trials."

Which folded like soufflé

Because of the Republican majority. Had the Senate been under Democrat control the jury would have been "political" too but I don't think you would have liked the verdicts so much.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Where, what? 7 years and investigation after investigation, special counsel, impeachments, acquittals….yeah, sure…evidence…ok

Evidence that will withstand cross examination in a jury trial takes a lot longer to gather than the crap the My Pillow Man threw up on the screen during is symposium "proving" election fraud. How many years did it take to finally take down Al Capone?

6 ( +7 / -1 )

“federal prosecutors, using his words, won a conviction on the most serious charge levied in the insurrection.”

Heard so many times from you know who that this would never happen. But it happened. Well, well.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

what in the hell was Jan, 6 Bass?

Not an insurrection, even the DOJ said so under oath.

political violence. That’s what it was. Political violence

Really?

https://thefederalist.com/2020/09/02/the-street-violence-and-gunplay-started-with-the-left-not-the-right/

how can nature create such shamelessness…

I ask myself the same question

lol, sure, ‘triggered’.

The seditious conspiracy guilty verdicts of Tarrio and three lieutenants handed down Thursday

Convicted of sedition - that's 14 now...

How many times have I read posts from our MAGA-friends here saying "no sedition".... More words they have to eat....and speaking of eating their words;

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/cnn-fox-news-jan-6-supercut_n_645473b8e4b0e58960e34b3d

ROFL...once again Fox News proves they deceive, you believe...

“Who inspired them to do that? Who directed them to do that? Who was the person telling his followers to ‘fight like hell’? Of course, that’s former President Trump,” said Jimmy Gurulé, a University of Notre Dame law professor. “He’s not silent. He’s not oblivious to what’s going on. He’s leading the charge. He’s encouraging them to act.”

BINGO!

“Tarrio wasn’t there, but he was responsible because he was the one who was an organizer and leader,” said Laurie Levenson, a former federal prosecutor now a professor at Loyola Marymount Law School. “People might say ‘Well, wouldn't that apply to Trump?’

Double BINGO!

And besides this, we learn that Jack Smith has an insider from Mar-A-Lago that is spilling the beans on how Trump tried to obstruct the investigation into his classified steal and stash. And we learn that Smith is looking to add mail fraud to the list of charges for Trump trying to fund raise off his Big Lie...

Run for President? By 2024 Trump will be sitting in a cell at Rikers Island or one of Putin's dachas in Russia...

I don’t see the Capone correlation, funny but yeah, anyway things will be a lot easier for these guys to sue the government and if I were them I would milk it dry. They just need to wait, we’ll get through this two years (hopefully, God willing)

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

But, but, but according to Fox News the Proud Boys were just a group of angry tourists who got lost when they were visiting Washington D.C.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Former Attorney General Bill Barr said Friday that former President Trump will deliver “chaos” and a “horror show” if he returned to the White House in 2024.

“If you believe in his policies, what he’s advertising as his policies, he’s the last person who could actually execute them and achieve them,” Barr said of Trump at an event in Cleveland. “He does not have the discipline.”

When pressed further, Barr claimed his former boss doesn’t have “the ability for strategic thinking” or “setting priorities.”

“It is a horror show when he’s left to his own devices,” Barr said. “

https://www.yahoo.com/news/barr-trump-deliver-chaos-horror-202822742.html

What a ringing endorsement from his former "hand-picked" AG....who in Trump's own words is; “one of the most respected jurists in the country, highly respected lawyer, former attorney general under the Bush administration, a terrific man, a terrific person, a brilliant man,”

ROFL...

Not an insurrection, even the DOJ said so under oath.

Just sedition. No big deal, right?

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Just sedition. No big deal, right?

No, even that.

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

The seditious conspiracy guilty verdicts.

It sure is.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Sedition is overt conduct, such as speech and organizing, that tends toward rebellion against the established order. Sedition often includes subversion of a constitution and incitement of discontent toward, or insurrection against, established authority

So an insurrection against the government of the United States as determined by a jury (multiple juries) of their peers.

Legally, they are insurrectionists.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

The proud boys conviction is much more significant than people realize. People who were not in DC on Jan 6 were convicted, that opens up the way to charge and convict donald.

No surprise he’s scared and waddled back to talk to his lawyers.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Legally, they are insurrectionists.

Then if that were true they would have been charged accordingly, but since they weren’t…I don’t like Garland, never did and I’m glad we dodged that bullet of him sitting on the SC bench, but thankfully that didn’t happen but even he knows it wasn’t an insurrection legally. Because he knows Democrats are not going to be in power forever, and he knows the implications of charging them with that crime, because I can come right back around and bite him and the Democrats, so as bad as he is, the man is not dumb.
