It's unbelievable but true. We are again being threatened by German Leopard tanks," said Putin.

Yeah, it's weird how that works, you know. It's weird how people will try and kill you when all you want is to invade their country, kill them and steal their resources. The fascists are free to go back to Russia any day now.

what is really Unbelievable but true, is that there are simpletons who actually believe this tripe.

'Again and again we are forced to repel the aggression of the collective West' said Putin......

No you are not - this is a monstrous lie which he keeps repeating - there is only one country aggressively invading another's independent sovereignty, and that is Russia, a terrorist state ruled by a cabal of gangsters and kleptocrats, of which their leader Putin is the War Criminal-in-Chief.

If he withdraws his ill-disciplined troops back to Russia, and leaves the Ukrainian people to resume their peaceful lives which is their right, the West would leave Putin alone. As he seems hell-bent on continuing his evil murdering of innocent men, women, children and babies, due to his mentally-deranged and sadistic nature, then the ordinary Russian people will have no choice but to effect a regime-change, and hopefully install a normal leader, Alexei Navalny for example. The last decent leader they had was Gorbachev, seems such a long time ago now.

Oh really? Where is this happening?

The Nazis attacked the Soviet Union and 20 million Soviets were killed defending the country. They played a big part in defeating the Nazis.

Ukraine did not attack and invade Russia, the opposite.

except it’s not 1943. The future of the Russian state is not at risk. The public is less inclined to sacrifice their children for the Motherland, even less for putie than they were for Stalin (sorry midget man). And the US is not shipping thousands of tons of supplies.

Oh, and there are no Nazis….

Other than that, it’s TOTALLY the same, lol.

The irony of this statement is breathtaking. Even Russian internet trolls will be struggling to work out how to defend Putin - an expansionist fascist dictator - so much like a budget Hitler.

I suppose there is a key difference - Hitler's forces conquered nearly all of Europe very quickly, whereas Putin's forces have taken about a year to capture less than 10% of a single country.

The end of last month was Holocaust Memorial Day. Putin shamefully used it to state he invaded Ukraine to protect the Jews there.

Thus the daily whining about “corruption”….

Come back to reality Vlad. Look out your window. German tanks are not at the gates of Moscow. It's not like WW2 at all. And Russia didn't threaten to use nukes in WW2 either. How long will it take for Russians to come to their senses and overthrow the deranged daydreaming dictator.

Putin is all bluster, faux-bravado, and BS...

His "one week" war is now going on one year - and he and Russia's military has been shown to be incompetent on every level. It's so bad they have to beg Iran and North Korea for weapons.

Today in Moscow if you sit in a restaurant and privately criticize the war, someone who overhears you will call the Russian police and you'll be led away...to maybe fall out of an 8th story window...

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11695831/Shocking-moment-couple-arrested-Russian-restaurant-criticising-Putins-war.html

The Russian people won't put for this craziness much longer - and Putin will soon be asking The Mullahs for a villa outside Tehran or maybe a cottage inside Mar-A-Lago...

Usually the types endlessly taking about corruption.

Simple folk.

Jimizo - I personally think 'simple' is being too generous. More like 'treacherous'.

Putting facts and standing events on their head, Putin's "history" lesson is strictly for Russian rubes. His rally in "Stalingrad" is cheap political theater milking the collective memory of Russia's tragic sacrifice of millions of lives in defending their country against German aggression. Fortunately, not all Russians believe Putin's faux patriotic guff, but they do believe the gore, as the brain-drain from the RF continuing apace proves. If Putin wants to draw historical parallels, there is no better one than that infamous Orwellian rally held immediately following the Nazi defeat in Stalingrad where Propaganda Minister, Goebbels, bellowed to his sheep-like audience: "Do you want TOTAL WAR? To which in a sea of outstretched arms they all bleeted in unison, "Ja!"

what is really Unbelievable but true, is that there are simpletons who actually believe this tripe.

Yet now we know that if 70,000,000 can be gaslit in a western democracy, the millions of Russian gullibles glued to their Kremlin-controlled TV sets is sadly a reality all too believable.

"We are again being threatened....." said Putin. ".......do the impossible for the sake of the motherland, for the sake of truth was -- and is -- in the blood, in the character of our multinational people."

"Sounds like Putin has been inspired by the Nazi "Blood and Soil" slogan. Putin's invasion of Africa also echo Hitler's:

Russian mercenaries from the Neo- Nazi Wagner Group have sustained heavy casualties in a new surge of fighting between government troops and rebels over the control of lucrative goldmines in Central African Republic (CAR).

The clashes come amid increasing instability in the anarchic, resource-rich country, which in recent years has become one of Russia’s main hubs of influence in sub-Saharan Africa.

The government offensive is led by some of the estimated 1,000 Wagner fighters stationed in CAR since 2018.

Wagner is an ultranationalist fascist paramilitary group founded by Yevgeny Prigozhin, a businessman with close ties to the Kremlin, and has been deployed in about a dozen African countries as part of a Russian effort to project power on the continent and extract valuable resources. Last month, the US designated Wagner as a “significant transnational criminal organisation”, in part because of its increasing role in the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Poor tziny vladimir getting his butt kicked after invading his peaceful neighbor.

6 ( +15 / -9 )

Russian are incompetent, they violated the first tenet of war,by not taking out the leadership abilities to have an operating government by taking out the President resident,The Parliament and lunching a decapitation strike

The Soviets took one for Europe and suffered the worst casualties in WWII while liberating Auschwitz and yet it was the anti-Jewish countries, not the Russians, who were at the commemorations recently? What planet are we living on?

madverts:

Poor tziny vladimir

Have you seen the comedian. Height is not his good-point.

 his peaceful neighbor.

Peaceful? Somehow, I don't regard Bandera fans and people with SS symbols as peaceful. I think relatives of those killed in eastern Ukraine since 2014 would agree.

Much though I would like to believe the russian people will finally be sick of their dictator but I doubt they will. History shows that for a thousand years they were serfs and blindly bent their necks to autocrats, they have no history of democracy, individual liberty or rule of law. Surveys have shown they still believe in the myth of the need for a “strong man” to keep anarchy at bay and get things sorted. The creeping rehabilitation of Stalin is very revealing of the character of the people.

The Soviets took one for Europe and suffered the worst casualties in WWII while liberating Auschwitz and yet it was the anti-Jewish countries, not the Russians, who were at the commemorations recently

A major cause of the enormous casualties they suffered was the same as they are currently suffering, a total disregard on the part of their leaders and military of the lives of their own people.

Have you never heard the word pogrom? A russian word after all. Antisemitism in soviet times reached a peak under Stalin, look up the anti-cosmopolitan campaign. The Western countries who attended have no history of official state antisemitism like both Imperial and soviet russia has.

Russia has 5977 nuclear warheads that can be delivered by supersonic glide platforms that no current defense system can prevent.

This idiotic talking point… Like the Russians don’t know what would happen to them.

This is the tell that the Russians are running out of answers and are scared.

Can smell the vodka-infused flop sweat from here

1 ( +7 / -6 )

Yeah, the similarities between Putin and the evil likes of Hitler and Stalin are stunning.

8 ( +12 / -4 )

Someone in Russia needs to take him out....he has set back relations for regular Russians, decades. Just as they were enjoying being back in the international fold, he has made them lepers again. Leave Ukraine and no one will be setting tanks on you.

4 ( +10 / -6 )

Peaceful? Somehow, I don't regard Bandera fans and people with SS symbols as peaceful.

That still doesn't justify Russia invading Ukraine. Try harder.

I think relatives of those killed in eastern Ukraine since 2014 would agree.

Yeah, well we wouldn't have conflict in eastern Ukraine if Russia hadn't been funding arms for separatists there. This doesn't justify Russia's invasion either. Pathetic.
