Putin is fast becoming fodder for SNL and the laughing stock of the world: an out-of-touch, pint-sized despot who thinks he is some kind of Machiavellian, omnipotent leader of his people. Just like Trump, he confuses being feared with being respected.

The Kherson region is one of the four illegally annexed by Moscow last week after a “referendum” orchestrated by the Kremlin. The lower house of the Kremlin-controlled parliament has now ratified the annexation treaties, and the upper house will follow on Tuesday.

Perhaps the reason the members of the Russian parliament showed such overwhelming support to annexation is because they all have office windows, with a view of downtown Moscow, they'd like to continue to enjoy.

If you can't "win", then... pretend you already "won"!

Russia does not fully control any of the four provinces it claims to have annexed, however

The UA is in the Luhansk region for the first time since this war (oops! "Special Military Operation" Sorry) began.

But Mini-me has a nice certificate (suitable for framing)! So there is that....

15 ( +18 / -3 )

You can't annex what doesn't belong to you!

But that's of course too difficult to understand for Putin (& associates).

He's just such a "genius".

His troops are moving forard, except for the fact that it's the wrong direction.

He (his troops) fire off missiles which explodes seconds after being launched.

He hold fake referendums in areas that don't belong to him.

He sends men to the front still wearing footwraps like 100 years ago.

He starts a 3-day-limited-operation which is now 224 days already.

Tell me, can it get any better?

The funniest comment I’ve read in a long time -

”Putin was surprised at the results of the referendum “

22 ( +24 / -2 )

Zelensky's forces are openly defying the Geneva Convention.

By killing Russians? When did the Geneva Convention become important for you? Explain.

This will only harden attitudes against the incoming troops who not only desecrate the fallen but ignore health, safety and sanitation for the civilians.

An accurate prediction of what the incoming fodder will be asked to do for Putin. Did you mean to write this?

This is like being in divorce court with your wife amid looking for wedding rings.

10 ( +12 / -2 )

It seems that the Ukraine defense forces didn't get the annexation memo.

Brilliant!!! Comment of the Day!!

Zelensky's forces are openly defying the Geneva Convention.

The Geneva Conventions say a great deal about how to treat the living including POWs and civilians in occupied areas but I am not aware of any passages that impose any obligations to remove dead bodies from a combat zone in a particular amount of time.

13 ( +16 / -3 )

Brnco,

the ones who are not considering bringing back their fallen ones, leaving the last one behind and doing the best they can to terrorize the civilian population in the occupied areas are the Russian aggressors.

Get the facts right! Zelensky's troops do their best taking care of POWs and tose left behind, providing medical care and treatng them in accordance with the Geneva convention.

Please stop spreading Russian propaganda and fake news.

19 ( +21 / -2 )

There were 15 dead bodies of Russian soldiers lying in her street, she said.

"Nobody touches them,” she said. "Nobody removes them. It’s the fifth day they are lying there. And we have the smell. Is that right?”

She reminds me unfortunately of some gadflies I have heard at city council meetings who whine about the most trivial things as if they are the most important things the city has to deal with. A nation is fighting for its survival against a much larger and nuclear armed enemy and all she can complain about is the fact the the dead bodies of the invaders are not being picked up fast enough for her satisfaction. She is alive and freed from the Russians but that isn't enough for now.

Zelensky's forces are openly defying the Geneva Convention.

Putin's referendum is illegal according to the Geneva Convention, as is the UN Charter.

The bombing of civilians is also illegal.

Russian mass killings and tortures.

17 ( +20 / -3 )

This will only harden attitudes against the incoming troops

1000’s of these ‘harden’ troops have already called the Ukrainian‘I want to surrender’ hotline.

who not only desecrate the fallen but ignore health, safety and sanitation for the civilians.

me thinks that the Russians setting up torture chambers, & raping & murdering the civilians is a lot worse

11 ( +13 / -2 )

the ones who are not considering bringing back their fallen ones, leaving the last one behind and doing the best they can to terrorize the civilian population in the occupied areas are the Russian aggressors.

No room for dead bodies when you have to steal the cars of local Ukrainians to retreat in.

Emperor Putin has no clothes!

We know all of this, but being shocked, angry as well and condemning Putin isn’t going to save lives, so now what?

-12 ( +2 / -14 )

I think the "now what?" is happening... well... now.

We know all of this, but being shocked, angry as well and condemning Putin isn’t going to save lives, so now what?

13 ( +13 / -0 )

We know all of this, but being shocked, angry as well and condemning Putin isn’t going to save lives, so now what?

The Ukrainians continuing to take their land back and push the Russians out is what is happening. Do you mean after that?

10 ( +11 / -1 )

Emperor Putin has no clothes!

Sadly anyone who risks bursting out "he's wearing nothing" will end up being sent to the war frontlines.

12 ( +13 / -1 )

"We know all of this"

It seems not everyone does like Bronco.

13 ( +14 / -1 )

Sadly anyone who risks bursting out "he's wearing nothing" will end up being sent to the war frontlines.

Or, take a mysterious nose dive out of a window.

11 ( +11 / -0 )

The Ukrainians are fighting to save their country and have taken back land occupied by Putin and his troops. They will go on fighting the invader. He does not fully control the four regions he annexed.

14 ( +14 / -0 )

Some Western countries should start enticing some of the Russia provinces like Chechnya or Dagestan to break free.

"What is good for the goose is good for the gander."

10 ( +11 / -1 )

Thousands of Russian troops fled their positions after the front line crumbled

Read that they fled so fast they left behind their dead, littering the streets.

11 ( +12 / -1 )

I wouldn't really take this seriously, but I just read that Russia has enlisted a blind man. Not sure if it's meant to be metaphoric.... they're all blind. Bottom of the page.

Throughout Russia's war in Ukraine, which has lasted over seven months with no immediate end in sight, Kyiv has received tons of military assistance from a number of Western countries — including billions of dollars in weapons and other aid from the US. However, Ukraine is also getting a lot of weapons from the enemy.

Every time the occupiers flee, they are just resupplying the UA.

Wallace, American are fighting to rebuild their homes, and lives from natural disasters, through and under funded FEMA,while the US is dooling out 1.5 billion to prop up Ukraine a month,if I was the President,I would pull the plug on Ukraine aid and fund American need

-20 ( +1 / -21 )

so now what?

keeping fighting & killing the Russians until Putin is overthrown or dies unexpectedly

8 ( +9 / -1 )

It’s good to see Putin fall flat on his face. Let this be a lesson to other dictators.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

Good video that highlights a couple of truths....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rn-Rlq477S0&ab_channel=YourAdvocateAlliance%28YAA%29

The war has turned into a debacle for Putin and Russia....every goal he set out to achieve has failed, and in fact, the opposite has occurred...

Ukraine didn't collapse in seven days - it's now day 225 and Russia is losing territory as its troops flee in disarray and Ukraine is re-capturing it...

The once-feared Russia Army has been shown to be wholly incompetent with shoddy, defective equipment...

Instead of being fragmented, NATO has been re energized and has in fact grown, with the addition of over 1 million new troops from Norway and Sweden...

Russia's energy blackmail of Europe has failed - one of the last leverages Putin had to play...

As a result, Russia is now much more dangerous - because it is losing on every level...and will not act like a "normal" country....

As Putin throws his untrained mobilized reserves in battle, and they get slaughtered, he has to do something to turn the tide, and lessen European support to Ukraine. This could be more overt cyber attacks against European critical infrastructure and financial institutions or a false flag attack within Russia to blame on NATO.

We need to be extra-vigilant as a more humiliated and desperate Putin tries to save face....

13 ( +14 / -1 )

I was the President,I would pull the plug on Ukraine aid

thankfully you’re not

14 ( +16 / -2 )

if I was the President,I would pull the plug on Ukraine aid and fund American need

You have to be a natural born American (Born in the US or the child of a US citizen) to be President.

And thankfully, we have not (yet) stooped to this level of grammar and punctuation incompetence (although H. Walker is giving it his all in the GA Senate race.)

10 ( +12 / -2 )

We know all of this, but being shocked, angry as well and condemning Putin isn’t going to save lives, so now what?

Defeat the Russians and run them out of Ukraine. All of Ukraine including Crimea. That is the only reasonable outcome at this point.

13 ( +14 / -1 )

Nemo,I know a law that give me legal power better than the President know about,I hope I do not have to use these legal powers on an fellow Americans, beside your hatred of Jolie, reveal your hatred of women, just like the Ukrainian culture

Aside from being word salad and non-sensical jibberish, this isn't even remotely on-topic.

Seriously, what are you trying to say because this makes zero sense.

12 ( +13 / -1 )

Defeat the Russians and run them out of Ukraine. All of Ukraine including Crimea. That is the only reasonable outcome at this point.

This would be a good opportunity for Japan to take back the Kurils as well. It's not like Russia has their hands free to deal with it. And it's not like they belong to Russia.

Wallace, American are fighting to rebuild their homes, and lives from natural disasters, through and under funded FEMA,while the US is dooling out 1.5 billion to prop up Ukraine a month,if I was the President,I would pull the plug on Ukraine aid and fund American need

Presidents do not get to make that call in the US. Only Congress can appropriate funds. The President can either sign an appropriations bill or veto it. But I guarantee the President who vetoes funding for Ukraine will be the first US President who, after being impeached by the House is convicted by the Senate and removed from office.

12 ( +12 / -0 )

@yallrr if I was the President,I would pull the plug on Ukraine aid and fund American need

But you're not president, maybe if your Trump gets back in the White House he'll get a call from Putin telling him what to do again. Trump, the dictator appeaser, stiffed Zelensky before, and most likely would do it again, Ukraine would probably have been better able to defend itself and farther ahead in pushing the Russian invaders away if Trump had not backed out of helping Ukraine, instead he helped Putin. After all, like Trump's pal Hollywood Steve Bannon said. Putin, similar to Trump and his MAGAs. is anti-woke meaning he's anti-equality a misogynist, and favors white supremacy.

You can't annex what doesn't belong to you

Actually, I think you can ONLY annex what doesn't belong to you.

11 ( +11 / -0 )

Annexation and colonization has happened since history began.

We should probably relegate this behavior to the past, though, shouldn't we? It seems like it creates more problems than it solves.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

Zelensky's forces are openly defying the Geneva Convention.

and why should Ukraine collect Russian bodies, thats Russias job, just like Ukraine buries their own dead so should Russia

10 ( +10 / -0 )

* *i was the President,I would pull the plug on Ukraine aid

oh so Russia can move in and take over the entire country, lol

does NATO think Russia would stop there, yeah not likely.

now NATO are expanding and going to arm to the teeth, right on Russias borders,

you can thank Putin for that

The photo is from a junkyard of old tanks

Well the Ukranians have been jack-in-the boxing Soviet mech for quite some time now.

and has absolutely nothing to do with the current Russian invasion of Ukraine !

Shhh! It's not an invasion, remember!

9 ( +9 / -0 )

I was the President,I would pull the plug on Ukraine aid

thankfully you’re not

I think there’s not much to worry about here, first you have to actually be an American before you can become president.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

The photo is from a junkyard of old tanks and has absolutely nothing to do with the current Russian invasion of Ukraine !

Actually I think the photo is an accurate depiction of the current state of Russian armored vehicles operating in Ukraine before they even head into battle.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

I wish that were true.

Try telling that to Hawaii or Okinawa or Tibet etc etc etc...

Annexation and colonization has happened since history began.

Yes, and then humanity collectively realized how awful and dangerous it was after WW2 and, with a few exceptions (Israel stealing Golan Heights, Saddam trying to take Kuwait), stopped doing it until now.

Putin was surprised at the results of the referendum

this is like being surprised when opening a present that you wrapped yourself

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Putin is nuts and he's in trouble for turning his twisted fantasies into an ugly reality.

Putin was surprised at the results of the referendum

And in other news, Putin threw a surprise party for himself, and....

WAS SURPRISED!!!
