Oh great! another US president understands a Russian president ... I know there is a joke in there somewhere, but really, the first time wasn't all that funny.

Russia has blocked UN sanctions against Iran.Putin supports A'jad and the mullahs.

SO, how is that silly "reset" business working for the naive as ever blame- America-first wing of the Democrat Party?

I didn't see any blame America, last time I checked Bush is not America, or was he? Russia is a power, you can't invade in search of WMD, the best thing is to engage them in diplomacy and find common grounds to work with, and give them assurances, instead of non-sense like the missile-shield in Europe, why agitate Russia, why you can have them as friends instead? What would the missile do? protect from Iran? and Have threats of Russia in addition?

Get over it.

We must blindly go forward, while forgetting the past and endebt ourselves to the Federal Reserve.

Medvedev administration and Obama administration can move for closest ties years between Russia/USA.

With both president being law graduates and with little background in military,KGB,CIA and so forth.

Obama, if he really wants to do business in a new and wonderful way, can offer to dismantle Bush's missile shield slapped up against the Russian border, and start a mutually verifiable nuclear disarmament process. (The only problem with that would be that "israel" (spit!) would be the world's nuclear superpower!) Remember, Russia has what the whole world wants: years supply of energy. Don't step on the Russian bear's tail unless you have a plan to deal with his teeth. It is Amerika that's doing business the old way, not Red Vlad & Dmitry.

I find, "scold" to be the quaintest of words. It really does make me giggle when I hear it.

Remember, Russia has what the whole world wants: years supply of energy.

Russia has a lot of LNG fields but it's crude oil fields are becoming depleted, hence it's interference with the internal affairs of it's surrounding neighbors(who have bigger crude oil reserves) and the appearance of Russia reverting back to it's cold war style leadership. As well Russia's influence is really only regional, as Europe is really the area dependent on Russian LNG.

It is Amerika that's doing business the old way, not Red Vlad & Dmitry.

Just because you don't seem to like America or least it's foriegn policy, are you really going to give Russia a walk for the crap it has being pulling on it's own people(suppression of the opposition, etc.) and interfering with and bullying it's neighbors.

"Since Obama signed the $780 billion economic stimulus bill in January, the economy has shed more than 2 million jobs"

This is deplorable.

Russia has done no invading, raping and pillaging of late, last I looked. The Georgia and Ossetia fiascos of last year lie at the feet of the Georgian "president." What Russia does inside its own borders, well...the US of A should mind its own business. Same goes for Iran. When Flint MI is back at work, then we'll talk, OK?

Check your facts: Russia opens an oil well a day. Check your realpolitik: If "israel" or Amerika attacks Iran, ain't nobody getting oil that isn't domestic. As the world greatest debtor nation it would behoove Obama not to go annoying anyone at this upcoming meeting.

Libertas is an idiot. Everyone pretty much agree?

And just how placing missiles in Eastern Europe is new way? Ahh, yes - "old is new" after Orwell.

This is deplorable.

you wouldn't mind it if the marines were hoo-harring around the local employment office and it was saving fictional brown people with turbans from torture

I am sure that Chechnya is happy to be under the Russian Boot.

Check your facts: Russia opens an oil well a day.

How much has their production increased? http://peakwatch.typepad.com/.shared/image.html?/photos/uncategorized/2008/04/21/russia_tired_spigot.gif

In fact many don't believe Russia can much past 9.9 million barrels per day (bpd). The oil well a day that is drilled is replacing an old oil well that no longer produces.

If "israel" or Amerika attacks Iran, ain't nobody getting oil that isn't domestic.

Considering that Canada(which has one of the biggest oil reserves - see tar sands) and Mexico are the #1 and #3 suppliers of oil for "Amerika". I am sure that "Amerika" can still get oil from non-domestic sources.

The Georgia and Ossetia fiascos of last year lie at the feet of the Georgian "president." What Russia does inside its own borders, well...the US of A should mind its own business.

I see, Georgia is only country that is complaining about Russian interference, what about Estonia and the Bronze Soldier of Tallinn, Ukrainia and the stopage of LNG, Romania and Moldova - riots, Lithuania - Rolandas Paksas scandal and I am sure I am missing a few. What goes outside of Russian borders, well.... should be none of Russia's business.

None the less, whatever America did or didn't do in no way ok's what Russia is doing.

FromEurope: You should argue with LIBERTAS' points with the constructive words.

The guy is an idiot.

i see very little difference between the two except Obama doesn't need to intimidate the media, they are already solidly in his pocket.

Looks like Pravda Online declaring America (under Obama) officially a socialist nation has really gotten to our rookie president.

"Since Obama signed the $780 billion stimuus bill in January, the economy has shed 2 million jobs"

I see the liberals have nothing to say to that except

"you wouldn't mind if the marines were hoo-harring around the local employment office and it was saving fictional brown people with turbans from torture."

Pathetic.

I see that Obama is going to stay in a $13,000 suite at the Moscow Ritz-Carlton.

Ah yes Pravda, if you like Pravda opinion pieces you should read "Bush: Why don’t you shut up?"

Quoting from extremely anti-American website, good on ya.

Beside Obama didn't turn the US in socialist state, the nationalization of the banks(key part of a socialist nation) was done by the previous President.

"Since Obama signed the $780 billion stimulus bill in January, the economy has shed 2 million jobs" "This is deplorable."

I agree, he should have learnt from the billions that Republicans wasted in stimulus/bailout money, that throwing money at the problem wouldn't work. It seems that neither Republicans or Democrats have any actual idea of how to fix the problem.

Obama and Medvedev should quit rank from old way, for better future Russia/America.

Better move forward via babushka(matryoshka) generation dolls philosophy of the russian countryside and set up more joint ties for mutual benefit of future generations.

There already selling these dolls with Obama images in Moscow.

American visitors to Moscow, should buy one these dolls as a Moscow souvenir.
