Countries have started transactions in yuan and rubles and other non-dollar currencies in order to avoid the seizing and freezing of their assets. It's not so much as having the freedom to deal in currencies or being forced to deal in US dollars

It may appear to be about Russia and China but it's in other parts of the world as well. Europe has devised a system called INSTEX, which can be used to by-pass SWIFT. The reason INSTEX was developed was to enable European countries to trade with Iran. The US has seized control of this Belgian organization and forces it to open its records to the US Treasury to see if any country is “violating” US sanctions, in quotes because the US has no authority to do so. And so no, I do not agree with your opinion tha the US is forbidding countries from dealing in other currencies.

When commentators refer to the Multi-polar world, they are referring to the nations' liberation from US politics, intervention, sanctions and the freezing of assets. They are probably not referring to the "people" and their civil liberties or their residential prefererences.

The irony here in this goal to move away from the dollar is that the US is the instigator itself by administering the sanctions and freezing of assets. It is shooting itself in the foot or to put it bluntly, Biden is hurting the US by doing so. So the sanctions failed to collapse Russia but we weren't expecting them to collapse US banks.

All this boils down to the fact that if the US freezes Chinese assets, this will be another step toward a loss of credibility for the dollar. The Treasury bond is a contract between the buyer, such as China, and the US. There is no clause in this contract that allows for the contract to be broken. If the US refuses to comply with its end of the contract, using whatever excuse it may come up with — COVID-19 or Taiwan or whatever — then the US is the defaulting party and will suffer a loss of credibility among perspective investors. China is not interested in the US losing its credibility. China is interested in not losing its dollar assets.

It is neither. As you say, it is in the middle; there won’t be a “stampede” in or out. Buick, Proctor & Gamble, John Deere, Apple, Tesla aren’t leaving. JP Morgan has been in China since 1921. Its exports percentage of gdp is only 20% and the U.S. share of that 20% is only 3%. Decoupling won’t do it not to mention it’s u realistic .

Right now China is building massive number of ICBM silos and dozens of SLBMs, all these ballistic missiles were nuclear warhead loaded. And that requires massive amounts of Uranium.And only Russia can provides such massive amounts of war materials.This is a risk which deserve us to risk for.
