An interesting interview. It didnt really say anything new though.

Finally, the veil of lies that is the western narrative of the Ukraine conflict - the usual, simplified 'cowboys/good-guys versus the others/bad-guys' comes crashing down in a flood of truth telling and fact.

I like the small table. That is very symbolic. Once Trump is elected he will broker the end to this war, Russia will get some territory and Ukraine will be admitted to the EU.

-19 ( +16 / -35 )

This was the little creep who claimed Russia had no interest in invading sovereign state Ukraine. Credibility zero.

Don't believe a single word Mini-me spews out.

24 ( +44 / -20 )

no interest in expanding its war in Ukraine to other countries

except Moldova?

Putin's plans for that Ukrainian neighbour have been all too clear for two years now.

Many informative moments. When Tucker asked him who blew up Nord Stream and he gestured at Tucker and said he did it. Obviously, it was a joke as "you" (or "America/ns") was continually a reference to the US government throughout the interview, not Tucker as a person clearly.

After Tucker jokingly said he didn't blow it up and he "was busy that day", Putin said:

You may have an alibi, but the CIA has no such alibi.

-19 ( +15 / -34 )

You may have an alibi, but the CIA has no such alibi.

You have no such evidence.

12 ( +29 / -17 )

Putin made clear that he had no interest intervening in Ukraine before 2014. 8 years of diplomacy and the Minsk Agreements were the priority after the 2014 coup and the Kyiv-instigated war against the Donbas when they protested the regime.

-22 ( +14 / -36 )

The size of the table reflects the importance of the meeting for Putin.

-5 ( +11 / -16 )

The room they had it in was very interesting. Agreed the small table was a neat touch. Look at the amazing parquet floor and that huge rug (Kremlin and other historic Russian buildings are well known for parquet floors). At certain points in the interview Putin was pointing towards another table, describing meeting there with American officials, who sat where, or towards the room next door.

One fact that was clarified is that he and Biden have not spoken since the special military operation began in Feb 2022.

-18 ( +9 / -27 )

Call it for what it is : a war of aggression and territorial expansion by fascist Russia.

Putin has destroyed the credibility and reputation of Russia for generations. Fascist Russia will continue to be a pariah state for as long as Mini-me is there.

15 ( +29 / -14 )

Unindicted A-class war criminals Netanyahu & co have relegated a relieved Putin to the B-class, making him an appropriate interview subject for that BS-class Tucker. Putin is clearly in on the joke that with this interview he has been given another golden opportunity to indirectly interfere surreptitiously in US elections in favor of a second term for Russia's orange sock puppet.

0 ( +19 / -19 )

no interest in expanding its war in Ukraine to other countries

Sounds like you have some reliable inside information about Putin's plans...care to share it?

-15 ( +13 / -28 )

It's not a war of aggression. Putin specifically talked about the late 90s/2000s NATO assault on Serbia - back then the US publicly stated that international law and the UN was irrelevant. Now they change their tune when it suits them.

It's about securing the interests of Moscow and not allowing a large, weaponized NATO satellite on their border, particularly one run by extreme nationalists, who started the war in 2014.

Even the first paragraph of this article makes clear he said he has no territorial expansionist plans in the former USSR.

-19 ( +13 / -32 )

Russia will never give up.its crystal clear.

Tucker Carlson is no match for Russian President Vladimir Putin.

interview?

Please, Vladimir Putin delivered the hapless Carlson a masterclass in propaganda, trickery the cunning lecturing in histrionic chicanery.

The political craftwork, disingenuous, preachifying condensation, Carlson the interloper, given a childlike exercise, schooling in Putin's law.

The justification for doctorial autocracy, an invasion, the rape a pillage of Ukraine, its people, the atrocities.

Putin threw Tucker into a supermarket trolley child seat and wheeled to the aisle with buy one get one free tyrant giveaways justifying so called special military operations, one week only.

The foolish Tucker was played for a fool.

5 ( +22 / -17 )

So impressive Mr. Putin's impressive logic, history and understanding of the human condition. Clearly, he's highly self-aware. Imagine Putin's disdain for Pres. Biden, his bumbling incompetence and lack of core values.

Anyone watching this interview realizes why he remains so popular and powerful in Russia. Why his reign continues after 24+ years. Putin A game still intact, contrasted with Biden, nobody doubts he'll prevail in Ukraine.

Thought Tucker should have better prepared, Putin had to hold his hand, control interview frequently, especially at end. Tucker seemed bit awestruck, realized Putin's whole different caliber than the soft feeble US politicians.

-19 ( +12 / -31 )

Carlson is considered to have close connections to Trump

It's called a close connection in MAGA world when one says of the other, "I hate him passionately." So devoid of it are they in their lives, they could even imagine this is love.

0 ( +10 / -10 )

It's about securing the interests of Moscow and not allowing a large, weaponized NATO satellite on their border,

You understand that the NATO border with fascist Russia has increased by THOUSANDS of kilometres since the shaky and sickly wee man invaded sovereign Ukraine? That is the illogic of this "argument" the fascist side refuse to talk about.

I wonder if fanboy Carlson asked about Putins Parkinsons?! Shake, shake, shake LOL

6 ( +18 / -12 )

Clearly, it's the interview of the century thus far. Far more people will understand this Ukraine Civil war madness officially started in 2014 with Kiev attacking Russian speaking Ukrainians in the Donbass.

Media analysts think +1Billion views this week alone!

Just massively escalated under Biden with his change in policies regarding Ukraine militarization as a NATO proxy force. Thus, the contained Ukranian Civil war became one between great powers and global in nature.

-10 ( +11 / -21 )

Putin didn't claim to meet Helmuth Kohl in 2021 twice. That is certain. Finland is a non-event - I assume the NATO reference was to the Russia-Finland border which is 1,340 km (830 mi) long (not THOUSANDS).

The western frontier on the traditional invasion routes into European Russia needed policing up. That's what a large part of this is about.

-15 ( +9 / -24 )

Ha! Putin is an untrustworthy snake. Remember the 1994 agreement known as the Budapest Memorandum, under which Ukraine agreed to completely denuclearize in exchange for Russian guarantees towards Ukraine's security?

Toilet paper.

Poland and the Baltic states have good reason to stay on high alert as long as Putin is in power. The West, meanwhile, had better stop him in Ukraine lest it embolden him. Let's face it: Russia is hurting, its shelves are bare, its best citizens are fleeing, it resorts to buying weapons from NK, it holds 18% of Ukrainian territory - a far cry from initial ambitions - and dare not sail its navy into the Black Sea. And this is Russia's highwater mark; things will only get worse for Russia from here.

8 ( +17 / -9 )

Putin should have taken his shirt off for his swooning fans.

5 ( +14 / -9 )

Carlson is considered to have close connections to Trump

It's called a close connection in MAGA world when one says of the other, "I hate him passionately." So devoid of it are they in their lives, they could even imagine this is love

I think some people see their own dishonesty in Carlson.

A feeling that they are not alone in lacking the key basic of any worthwhile person - honesty.

Perhaps the whole MAGA thing is just that for some.

14 ( +18 / -4 )

Tucker Carlson sat in excited anticipation of an infant to be presented a lollypop,

Nodding appeasement, like a dog glued to a 1970 ford cortina

7 ( +16 / -9 )

Putin said in Dec. 2020 that he had no intentions of invading Ukraine. Not a man to be believed.

16 ( +21 / -5 )

Putin said in Dec. 2020 that he had no intentions of invading Ukraine

The alternative media types were under this impression too.

Was Carlson still misleading kids on Fox at that time?

7 ( +14 / -7 )

Putin, in rare U.S. interview, says Russia has no interest in wider war

Since he said Russia had no interest or intention of invading Ukraine, then it did exactly that, Putin's words in this "interview" are clearly meant to mislead those on the fence and reassure nervous Russian citizens of military age, before they get a call up to serve.

It is uncertain if Putin will ever be believed again by the west and indeed many other nations around the globe.

Finally, the veil of lies that is the western narrative of the Ukraine conflict - the usual, simplified 'cowboys/good-guys versus the others/bad-guys' comes crashing down in a flood of truth telling and fact.

Commentary from a misguided and incorrect poster. The flood of Putin's continued lies was obvious and telling. Autocrats like to sound reasonable and even enjoy playing the victim to shore up support. Russia is neither a victim or reasonable, it is a murderous regime that invaded its neighbor for its resources and territory.

With the death toll for both sides over 100,000 each the Russians have achieved only one of its objectives. A land corridor from Crimea to Russia. All other objectives remain unrealized.

It's not a war of aggression.

Open your eyes, it is nothing but a war of aggression!

So impressive Mr. Putin's impressive logic, history and understanding of the human condition.

Another blind observer with no clue of the truth, although it sits before his/her eyes daily.

The only impressive thing about Putin is his continued ability to lie with a straight face, and without bursting into laughter at the joke he continues to play on his people and supporters. I hope he gets caught and spends many years wasting away in a dank prison cell, like the one he has his main political opposition in right now.

A waste of time listening to both Tucker and Putin. Better things to do, like wash my socks.

11 ( +18 / -7 )

I don't like or support Putin at all, but wow, he remained very lucid and sharp as a tack in that two-hour interview at age 71.

This is in stark and frightening contrast with the senile, doddering old man who's in the White House now -- a man who can't be trusted by his own staff to speak off the cuff for more than a minute or two.

By the way, a certain U.S. presidential candidate (and former president) is also lucid and sharp, even at age 77. He's old enough to be my father but has more energy than I do.

-20 ( +10 / -30 )

Tucker seems to have enjoyed Moscow life too much, he should have stepped up his interview prep. Missed opportunity of sorts. But main objective accomplished.

Putin conveyed his leadership actions, efforts, history in both USSR and modern Russia etc. Ukraine's remained clear source of geopolitical tension with West post USSR, blowing up in 2014 with Kiev's military attacking Russian speaking Ukrainian civilians in the Donbas.

Nice if far more world leaders were like Putin, not simply puppets of corrupt special interests. Easy to understand why Putin's looking for more reliable and stable partners.

-22 ( +6 / -28 )

Putin said in Dec. 2020 that he had no intentions of invading Ukraine. Not a man to be believed.

Yeah , that was bs. Not that honesty and trustworthiness of US presidents over time fares any better. Be it on international stage ala "We have proof Saddam has WMD's and intends to use them against the US " or domestic " I did not have relations with that woman , Ms. Lewinsky...", numerous examples are all over the place.

-12 ( +10 / -22 )

but the important thing is that you don’t have any right while sitting on a chair to speak insultingly to the heads of states of any states.

Since we live in countries with protected free speech, we not only have a right, but that right is enshrined in our constitutions. Do you understand what I'm talking about? Slava Ukrainii!

7 ( +15 / -8 )

Seems all sides agree it was a great interview

-11 ( +8 / -19 )

Do you have any other thoughts in your head other than insulting the top officials of states? It doesn’t matter which states, but the important thing is that you don’t have any right while sitting on a chair to speak insultingly to the heads of states of any states. Do you understand what we’re talking about at all?

He has every right to insult criminals like Putin. Putin and his "officials" being responsible for so many war crimes I cant even imagine the total number. from murder to rape to ethnic cleansing, and lets not forget kidnapping and indoctrinating those children to hate Ukraine while keeping them from their families. Those people deserve zero respect and @Fighto! can insult them all day long and be completely within his rights to do so.

Your fake indignity at this is both laughable and sad. Nobody can honestly think Putin is innocent. Even his supporters know he is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands on both sides.

6 ( +14 / -8 )

Carlson should stay in Moscow.

8 ( +19 / -11 )

Putin threw Tucker into a supermarket trolley child seat and wheeled to the aisle with buy one get one free tyrant giveaways justifying so called special military operations, one week only.

Hardly.

The foolish Tucker was played for a fool.

actually, and far from it, it was a genius move he did what a lot of journalists would’ve liked to have done, but didn’t have the guts to do it, now watches, viewership, go up, that helps him that helps build up his some more power to him.

-17 ( +8 / -25 )

The size of the table reflects the importance of the meeting for Putin.

The size of the the table only reflects on how deep he's inside Putins pocket. Only reason the interview is allowed is because the Kremlin knows he is there to make Russia look good and Ukraine bad. The US has like always made a very serious thing that concern us all of us into a party fight, doesn't matter what it's about, as long as the democrats wants to help Ukraine the Republicans will be against it.

Russia invaded its neighbor while US invaded countries half way around the world. History keeps repeating itself.

-15 ( +4 / -19 )

One of major points of interview was decision by Kiev to launch a Civil War, using its military, against its own Russian speaking citizens in the Donbas in 2014.

Things took turn for worse when Biden took office in 2021, NATO Ukraine militarization greatly enhanced their escalation of civil war in the Donbass and other regions.

Pres. Putin had choice to make, either simply observe or actively engage and assist those Russian speaking Ukrainians seeking their legal independence for CAUSE.

Finally, the veil of lies that is the western narrative of the Ukraine conflict - the usual, simplified 'cowboys/good-guys versus the others/bad-guys' comes crashing down in a flood of truth telling and fact.

Another correct way to paraphrase what I wrote just above!

-10 ( +4 / -14 )

seriously i do believe Russians have no interest in wider war, but pls dont ally with the evil force. If one day NK/chinese commies using Russians technology and launch the nuclear war that result in millions of death, trust me, Russian have zero chance to return back to Euro family again. It is normal every family we have naughty rebellious member, but at last they will return to the house, blood is thicker than water.

So was his hand/s shaking?

-2 ( +5 / -7 )

Sorry cold fingers on phone virtual keyboard,

To progress, where were we?

.........ok, like a dog glued to 1970 Ford Cortina cheap plastic dashboard.

This NATO nonsense.

What is NATO.......

https://www.nato.int/nato-welcome/

21st century NATO has collapsed into a sorry shell of it original mission .......

Purpose is to guarantee the freedom and security of its members through political and military means.

Putin is incentivised through the abject failure of UK/EU to fully secure it people, a common foreign and security policy. Infested with vested interests, member states selfishness over the Union it promised and pledged to uphold.

Putin's Russia took advantage of Macron/Merkel pompous posturing Minsk 2 agreement. Grovelling sickening appeasement.

Tucker Carlson could have politely challenged, debated, poked, probed and prodded Putin.

A totally wasted opportunity, angry disappointment, Carlson two hour toady shoe shine, yes sir, no sir, three bags full sir.

-1 ( +6 / -7 )

Might add, believe timing of interview very important. Public support for this war is waning and I think this interview could easily act as a tipping point catalyst.

Who actually believes in "Joe Public" whether in US or Europe, that Russian speaking former Ukrainians who are now happily Russian citizens will EVER agree to be Ukranian again? Simply impossible to fathom for most.

Real message of this interview, there's no going back.

-11 ( +6 / -17 )

One of major points of interview was decision by Kiev to launch a Civil War, using its military, against its own Russian speaking citizens in the Donbas in 2014.

Another incorrect and fake opinion. Separatists started the civil war, not Kyiv. Dont let a little thing like the truth stop your telling of lies. Russia armed separatists who began hostilities with Ukraine police and military, forcing an armed confrontation. Ukraine has every right to deal with criminals and separatists who shoot at officials and defense forces with assault rifles, tanks and artillery.

5 ( +12 / -7 )

Putin is a lier and cannot be trusted. He lives in the past and steals from the future, of all Russian people.

Also now Ukrainian peoples.

Conservatives are no different, no wonder he is their idol.

0 ( +11 / -11 )

Tucker Carlson could have politely challenged, debated, poked, probed and prodded Putin.

He was selected because he is unable to do that and Putin knew he would be happy not to do it.

It wasn't an interview.

7 ( +15 / -8 )

Loved ending of the interview, not as Tucker initially suddenly tried to do so in context of a low-level reporter, who's just another person suffering lack so many others.

But rather with Putin's deeply held conviction that with time wounds will heel and bring these peoples in this region back together, that their souls forever connected.

-10 ( +7 / -17 )

Grovel, grovel, grovel....lie, lie, lie...

Not much more to it...

6 ( +16 / -10 )

Putin is obsessed with the need to return to borders secured by the collapsed soviet union,  Carlson broached this subject, but rolled over.

9 ( +14 / -5 )

45 million views of the interview in 4 hours.

No wonder White House cheerleaders are pissed.

-5 ( +13 / -18 )

By the way, a certain U.S. presidential candidate (and former president) is also lucid and sharp, even at age 77. He's old enough to be my father but has more energy than I do.

Lol. Trump lucid and sharp.

The worst attempt at ‘influencing’ I’ve seen since someone compared Trump’s knowledge of economics to Einstein’s knowledge of physics.

Keep the ‘influencing’ out of lol territory.

Anyway, when you have two deeply untrustworthy characters like Putin and Carlson, you can see who’s impressed with it.

Revealing.

5 ( +14 / -9 )

Another takeaway was Gershkovich. Tucker made a sincere request and offered to take him home. Putin stated he was caught receiving classified information - he very loosely alluded, very subtly, to Assange in the context that journalists receiving such information are committing espionage, no matter who they work for, which is the position of the US government.

Berlin will have to free Krasikov it seems. That wasn't an accidental reference.

-10 ( +6 / -16 )

it was a genius move he did what a lot of journalists would’ve liked to have done, but didn’t have the guts to do it

Come on now. Even the Kremlin state they have turned down all requests from western media until now.

It didn’t take guts, it took an invitation.

5 ( +12 / -7 )

Putin's "maskirovka" message to manipulate and bamboozle the MAGA-faithful...

And given the comments from our usual MAGA posters, it worked...

MAGA-world - there's one born every minute...

0 ( +8 / -8 )

Thought Putin's explanation of Neo Nazi's made sense, this insane fascist nationalism, that by its nature targets those who's ancestry inside Ukraine who might be Polish, Hungarian or Russian, including mother tongue.

Clearly, Putin was disappointed these nationalist forces inside Ukraine ended up controlling Zelensky.

Putin's explicitly stated stable relations with leaders controlled by outside special interests pursuing their greedy corrupt globalist agenda is mission impossible.

Putin, understands well why American leadership's so unreliable and volatile, putting entire World at Grave Risk.

-13 ( +7 / -20 )

Another amusing part was when they were exploring the position of the Berlin with regards to gas pipelines and Ukraine, and Putin made a 'door knocking' gesture on the table, indicating no one is at home I.E. their mixed up, confused and counter-productive positions (1:16min mark).

-10 ( +7 / -17 )

Looking at his ratings, Tucker is definitely no sucker.

It only shows there is an alarming amount of suckers out there.

1 ( +11 / -10 )

Putin also said to the world that Russia was not going to invade Ukraine.

5 ( +13 / -8 )

Speaking of separatists, Putin spent some time explaining the CIA and their satellites armed separatists in the Chechen conflicts of the 90s and 2000s. He explained how he confronted American officials with hard evidence of this and they just casually brushed it off while admitting to it.

-8 ( +8 / -16 )

He was selected because he is unable to do that and Putin knew he would be happy not to do it.

What?

It wasn't an interview.

When you have a Q and A it’s an interview.

Tucker is a sucker. Sucker Tucker.

Ahh, the little kid coming out?

A useful idiot for murdering dictators, an interview that will go down in infamy for his doe-eyed fawning.

If that’s what the left think, fine.

And yet irrelevant as to the role of nazis in Putin's invasion.

Do liberals even know what a Nazi is?

-8 ( +10 / -18 )

Thought Putin's explanation of Neo Nazi's made sense

Well, you did state that Yugoslavia broke up into 3 countries.

I’d be a bit more careful and discerning about where you get your explanations or information from.

7 ( +12 / -5 )

Putin can't be trusted. He blatantly lied when he said he wasn't going to invade Ukraine. He is only saying he doesn't have an interest in invading other countries because he doesn't have the capability anymore. In a couple of years he will have rebuilt that capability. Not to be trusted.

0 ( +9 / -9 )

What most would agree upon is that Mr. Putin was always careful not to cross the line and speak on behalf of his counterparts in the west.

Putin's clearly a principal man with a sense of humor!

-10 ( +4 / -14 )

Another interesting I'd forgotten about was when Putin discussed the 2004 elections after Kuchma, which the west wasn't happy with the outcome and forced them into a third-round runoff election, which was in violation of the constitution. The meddling was apparent before 2014 - they support democracy unless the people choose the wrong candidate. 2014 was simpler as they just used a violent coup.

-5 ( +8 / -13 )

Nato treats Ukraine like Sr. investment banker treats Jr. analyst. Gets them to do all the dirty work, take all the professional risk etc.

Putin made clear reference to new military base construction within Ukraine after Biden took office in 2021. Everyone knew Biden & d's were long upset about 2016 election and Crimea in 2014, so table was set for escalation, naturally Ukrainians the cannon fodder.

-7 ( +6 / -13 )

Putin better be careful who he employs as an "interviewer"...

The last guy that hired Tucker ended up paying out $787 million...

1 ( +10 / -9 )

bass4funk, Tucker Carlson is no slouch.

I am disappointed, Putin interviews are rare, Tucker was seated just feet away from President Putin, Macron was seated at the end of long refectory console table. Humiliated

I have been scolding disingenuous towards Tucker Carlson. His chat show demeanour doesn't help.

Maybe a reason why never provide a platform if your hands could be tied.

Putin is adapt, a magician in the art of political distraction techniques.

The threats, the misdirection, the bluffs, the insistence of unrivalled hypersonic weapons systems.

Putin held court. Carlson was never afforded any means of rebuttal.

4 ( +9 / -5 )

Whole lotta fussin' and cussin' goin' on. Why is Russia such a pal to the far right? I admit that I don't understand it. And while, yes, Mr. Carlson is not an unbiased interviewer, what is wrong with interviewing Putin? The right is going to like it and the left isn't. Even a little child could tell that was going to happen. When all the arguin' and name callin' is over and the topic moves on, it will all be the same: Trump (or Biden) is bad and Biden (or Trump) is good and every one knows that the same handful of know-it-alls will represent 90% of the "comments". The moderator will continue to allow name calling and off-topic "comments" and tomorrow we'll start all over again with the same 5 or 6 people yapping at each others' tails.

1 ( +7 / -6 )

So they have interests in the Northern territories, in Africa, in Ukraine, but none in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland, Poland etc ? What a nice fairy tale book he has read from to Tucker. lol

0 ( +8 / -8 )

So who here actually watched the whole interview before commenting?

-5 ( +9 / -14 )

During the interview Putin had an aide hand Tucker a large folder of copies of documents, he said were from archives and obviously prepared beforehand. I'd imagine him and his team are going through that now. Hopefully we can learn more about that.

-7 ( +7 / -14 )

Putin had a clear strategy and direction, that ultimately made the case regarding his commitment in Ukraine. He knows west will soon fold like a cheap suit.

Tucker, seemed out of his element, not used to dealing with such a professional, someone so driven by core values and focused on the long game. Time and time again Putin had to put interview back on track.

What was he supposed to do? Beat the guy over the head?

Why not. I want to hear his side as well, we keep hearing Zelenskyy’s side? Why not listen to the other side and then decide for myself?

If critical thinking is ever to be achieved you need to not only explain your own notions and reasons for thinking a certain way well, but you have to be able explain where you think the propositions of the opposite side come from too.

Those that like to shoot messengers, and try and deligitimize people they don't like, to shut them down are the real curse of our times. Get it all out there, watch and listen to it all then filter it through your own intellect, character and notions of self.

In that sense it was an interesting interview, a historical one that people will be talking about for some time. The fact it was Tucker Carlson though will enrage a certain segment of our blessed social debate though, they would never in a million years give Tucker two hours of their time and will miss another chance to perhaps learn something and challenge their blessed convictions.

The timing of the interview was interesting too and as some commentators above mentioned, it's hard not to draw comparisons with the old fella with dementia supposedly in charge of the freeworld now too.

Either way you think, if any of this makes a cease fire and potential peace agreement even a tiny bit closer, that would be a good thing right? You don't have to be a fan boy of anyone to want that.

1 ( +7 / -6 )

“ Putin made the comments in a more than two-hour interview … “

Well, two hours(!)… and I don’t wanna say anything before I hear the whole thing; some of you have a lot of free time and spend the whole day commenting on JT but not me, I’m at work and kinda busy so I’ll leave this for later…; … but it looks like the same old dirty Russian propaganda…; hard to justify an armed invasion and the torture and deaths of thousands of innocent people…; … still an interesting interview, though.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

I have listened to many of Putin's speeches over the last couple of years.

What made this one different?

0 ( +8 / -8 )

If Carlson was a real, democracy-supporting, patriotic American, he'd go to Russia to interview Navalny, rather than the little insecure dictator that jailed him...

1 ( +11 / -10 )

Ok, Tucker has put up a 9 minute video on his website titled "After The Vladimir Putin Interview" but it is behind a paywall. And the photo has him sitting down somewhere in the Kremlin (more parquet floors you see) rifling through the contents of the folder of documents Putin gave him.

Don't panic - I'm sure this will be available in due course. Looking for viewing options now.

-6 ( +8 / -14 )

After the Soviet Union fell Putin wanted to join Nato, The Americans said no. Think about it.

-3 ( +8 / -11 )

Yeah love all the comments from people who belligerently claim they didn’t watch it and will never watch it.

as well as the generalists who you can tell didnt due to just juvenile personal attacks on the interviewer and the super vagueness of their comments.

-7 ( +7 / -14 )

.. little insecure dictator.....

Yeah nah, as much as some hate him , Putin seemed pretty secure and confident in the interview

I feel secure and confident amongst friends who don’t give me a hard time.

Who doesn’t?

During the interview Putin compared what is happening in the USA with what happened to the Late Roman Empire.

However, he said that in terms of collapses, the current process is happening faster.

If Carlson was a real, democracy-supporting, patriotic America

He definitely is.

he'd go to Russia to interview Navalny, *

If Vlad doesn’t let him….then?

rather than the little insecure dictator that jailed him...

Well, many people want to hear his side as well.

MAGA-world - where you praise Putin and insult your own President...some patriots...

Dems will insult the former president.

I'm firmly convinced that if Putin invaded Alaska, they'd refuse to fund our military to defend our own country...

Biden doesn’t defend our Southern border, so it’s possible.

After the Soviet Union fell Putin wanted to join Nato, The Americans said no. Think about it.

Dirty little secret, Russia was great business for the deep state, especially the intel and defense communities.

Next, elitest donor class globalists were certain they'd soon get the chance to carve up and rip-off Russia's vast resource wealth. Hence their extreme anger at Putin and this proxy war in Ukraine.

Turns out these two forces got their way and so here we are, Russia's fully aligned with China and Muslim World and many others bitter over US globalist destabilization.

Always question what PUTAIN says!

The one day it is this, the next day quite the opposite!

Whenever he opens his mouth don't believe it!

And?

Well, many people want to hear his side as well.

Oh boy, here we go...

MAGA-world - where you praise Putin and insult your own President...some patriots...

Dems will insult the former president.

So?

I'm firmly convinced that if Putin invaded Alaska, they'd refuse to fund our military to defend our own country...

Biden doesn’t defend our Southern border, so it’s possible.

BINGO! They'd support Russia attacking their own country...there's a word for that - traitors...

The interview has roared over the 50 million mark and climbing.

-10 ( +4 / -14 )

If there's ONE person who Mr. Putin would wish to be Russian, seems obvious that would be Elon Musk!

Mr. Putin displayed keen sense of economics, US$, US debt levels, GDP of outside vs. inside G-7 etc. Correctly understands that US empire's collapsing rapidly now and that Ukraine's entering stage 4 cancer economic spiral.

-9 ( +5 / -14 )

Elon Musk was mentioned by name during the interview by Putin when they discussed Neuralink and general tech/AI issues briefly.

-10 ( +3 / -13 )

Putin said "I think there’s no stopping Elon Musk" and "I think he’s a smart person. I truly believe he is."

-11 ( +3 / -14 )

I’d say calling Putin ‘little and insecure’ makes sense. He is little and you can make a good case for him being insecure given his treatment of those who disagree with him. Little and insecure? Pretty fair.

Well, Putin and Zelensky are pretty much the same height and neither seems to like those who disagree with them , so the logic would dictate.....?

-11 ( +3 / -14 )

Putin said "I think there’s no stopping Elon Musk" and "I think he’s a smart person. I truly believe he is."

Mate, you are coming across as a schoolgirl with a crush savouring every word from the teacher.

A bit too much this.

If you want to make the case they are both little and insecure, go right ahead.

I wasn’t the one triggered by a fair description of little and insecure Putin.

Like the number $787 million...ROFL...

More like 11 million on X alone.

How so?

Lib tactics

Neither do you...

Never did unlike you .

What? Not even close...

His history says otherwise.

You were the one that agreed to surrendering Alaska.

Wrong guy, but seeing how Biden handles domestic and geopolitical affairs, he probably would let Alaska fall to the wayside

Putin was sharp as a tack throughout this over 2-hour marathon interview and never missed a beat. You could almost see his mind working. He mentioned early on that he visited the Bush's early as leader "at their place by the sea" (which is Kennebunkport, Maine obviously). Tucker asked him when that was, and Putin playfully said he couldn't recall, and he could research it. It was in 2007. Keep in mind he has visited the US seven times but he was clearly saying that in jest.

-11 ( +4 / -15 )

My take on Putin, was extreme confidence based upon a serious track record of success. Believe Putin rather pitied Tucker, as someone who while well-meaning, was in way over his head. The contempt was obvious, especially as Tucker wasn't strategic and nuanced at all.

-9 ( +4 / -13 )

Not triggered by it at all, just puzzled why Putin is always called little and Zelensky isn't..... bizzare.

-6 ( +5 / -11 )

Putin through in a joke about Tucker trying to join the CIA when he was younger.

-8 ( +3 / -11 )

Tucker, as someone who while well-meaning, was in way over his head. The contempt was obvious, especially as Tucker wasn't strategic and nuanced at all.

Well, Tucker knew that any fair-minded person could see what Putin is all about, but still, it was a brilliant move to interview the guy, now watch the other journalists kick themselves in the rear for not seizing on this opportunity, also I think Putin gives Tucker credit for having the Cuyans to even attempt to sit with him. That is what this entire thing was about, hearing the other side and coming to your own conclusions, either way, Tucker walks away a winner from this media-wise.

-8 ( +4 / -12 )

Right, Putin said basically "thank God you were rejected by the CIA". Amazing how some recruiter some 30 years ago changed history as result of Tucker thumbs DOWN!

-10 ( +4 / -14 )

Where Tucker failed in my mind, not trying to establish a common humanity with Putin early on, stuff like family, interests, hobbies, etc. That was a missed opportunity.

"Americans too pragmatic" as Putin put it correctly.

Well, we will all have our various opinions on the interview.

"Americans too pragmatic" as Putin put it correctly

Oh, I disagree with that, typical European bloated mind think.

-11 ( +3 / -14 )

Yep, the jealousy is plain to see , just go to CNN and read their cover story of TC Putin interview to see how they try to discredit it.

-9 ( +3 / -12 )

Tucker asked him about his religious beliefs. Putin wisely answered not just that but extrapolated and explained about the multi-faith tolerance of Russia and contrasted it with another country which is suppressing a certain faith currently. Another good move.

-9 ( +4 / -13 )

Tucker also failed to realize Putin's diverse friendships and loyalty, maybe unequalled on earth today.

Putin's true power in reality. But unlike most, Putin's NEVER tolerates betrayal.

is interview drew more people, then, CNN did in their prime time, CNN and MSNBC wish they could’ve had those numbers

-13 ( +4 / -17 )

Does anyone know if it was the real Putin or just a double?

4 ( +10 / -6 )

The dude went back over 1000 years of Russian history.

boring as hell and too long but quite impressive.

-9 ( +5 / -14 )

Putin also briefly covered the bi-lateral China-Russia relationship quite eloquently and referred to Xi as "my friend" while discussing Brics, trade and economics. He referred to the China-is-going-to-swallow-you nonsense as the "boogeyman theory" and pointed out the EU has recently massively upped their economic engagement with China.

Did our guy lie about a genocide in Ukraine to justify Russia invading? It never ceases to amaze how low rightists will stoop.

Because they want to stay out of the conflict? Damned if do, damned if you don’t. The left is never pleased
