Nice! Not even president and he's already screwing up foreign policy and US defense. How someone only RUNNING for president, and who looks more and more likely to lose, can screw the nation up I know not, but Romney is doing it.

What is even nicer is Russia is restarting the cold war. Russia attacking any part of the early warning net could set off an atomic exchange.

No, Putin's implying that's what Romney will do if elected.

Russia attacking any part of the early warning net could set off an atomic exchange.

That's fear-mongering BS and you know it, both countries are well aware of MAD.

Fatally-flawed GOP candidate Mitt Romney screws up again and he's not even president. Lol!

Seriously, his remarks that Putin commented on were written for - and made to - a domestic audience.

However, they have now escaped into international political scene.

Crippled camdidate Romney's idiocy is only trumped by his ongoing flip-flopping.

Is Mitt's campaign going to get any funnier?

I do believe it will.

Bring it on!!! :-)

There are Russians making practice attacks against Japan and America. This is the now, Romney is not the US President. Putin is playing with fire for domestic support. The thing is he won reelection, why does he need a boost? Perhaps they think a first strike is possible.

By "Russians" do you mean military or do you mean those regular neonazi freaks like their american NRA counterparts? Evidence, please? If i see some americans on the street burning the russian flag can i say There are americans burning the russian flag?

The thing is he won reelection, why does he need a boost?

He doesn't, and some say his win is debatable. He does need to make a stand when someone who might soon become US-president is quoted as saying that Russia is "without question our No. 1 geopolitical foe". IF someone is eager to start Cold War II that would be Romney. I don't like Putin, but he's not stupid. Romney, on the other hand...

Perhaps they think a first strike is possible.

They (both sides) most likely did during the Cold War. Nowadays? Only fools like Romney do.

Moscow wants a binding guarantee the system would never be used against it.

Oh, is that all? I say fine, give them the agreement. Because if Russia ever did fire a missile at the west I'm sure that our first instinct would be to uphold our contractual obligations.

Words and paper go out the window when missiles start flying. Give them their peice of paper and build missiles in their backyard.

I find it interesting that a Russian president has to make comments about Romney. Wha that tells me that he knows that Romney is not going to be somewhat of a push over, and that there may be a shift in American foregin policy that may not be in their favor. I have not heard Romney make any claims that we need to go back to the "Cold War" but that we will not sell our allies down the river like we did with Poland and the missile defense shield.

There are Russians making practice attacks against Japan and America.

I hate to break it to you non-miltary types on the board, but yes they are doing that. It would be foolish on their part to not have plans and updated plans on how they would wage a war against the US, China, and any other country. They have these things all planned out, and every so often may actually go from a "table top" war game to actually moving forces just to see if the plans work out.

I am sure that the US still has it's plans on how and where it would attack Russia, even while we are so called "resetting" the relationship. Those types of things will always go on.

@Alpha

You know that is the Liberals first and foremost fear, to have a President with teeth and backbone, Europe wants a pacifist US President and wants a weakened America and to be apologetic. Putin and these other Rogue regimes know that Romney will NOT take ANY crap from anyone that either threatens us or threatens are self interests.

Obama turned his back on Poland and now Israel. But countries like Iran, Russia and China, there is NO way we can afford NOT to have a weak military and Obama is the man that these countries would love to have and if Obama can get 4 more years and with our weakened economy and spent military, this just puts a smile on their faces. Liberals would always turn the cheek and offer it up on a silver platter. But yes, these things are planned out and the US congress does have possible contingency plans in the event if something major bad happens.

"Fatally-flawed GOP candidate Mitt Romney"

"Fatally-flawed GOP candidate Mitt Romney"

Sorry, I think Putin is the one who is fatally flawed. Under Putin Russia has suffered and it's going to continue to suffer. I don't give Putin's critizisms of anybody any credence. Iggy the troll.
