Wherever there is a vacuum is wherever a place for NATO to infiltrate and conquer. The Baltic states became a NATO hostile flying zone was Gorbachev's leave Soviet control of that district. Putin shall not repeat those mistakes!

Putin is easily 'triggered', it's worrying that an unstable warmonger like him has such a large nuclear arsenal. And he also has fellow warmongers like Medvedev and others in the Kremlin singing "we will nuke you", if we don't get our way. The CCP and Xi seem content partnering with loose cannons like Putin, the Ayatollah and Kim. 'Totalitarianism uber alles', is their motto, or else we will nuke you.
deanzaZZR
Mad Vlad playing to the domestic audience again. Use tactical nukes on Poland or any other NATO country and see what happens next.

Good question, Russia has done so much environmental damage within its own borders and now in Ukraine. But as long as the globe's petrochemical establishment need Russia to serve as one of their gas stations, and as long as Russia has nukes and threatens to use them, the global establishment will not challenge Russia. Russia is a partner with the global petrochemical establishment in denying climate change, and ignoring environmental problems.

So, somehow Putin said something that was lost in translation so that makes vaporizing depleted uranium tank shells, spreading radioactivity acceptable?
How dangerous is depleted Uranium?
With reference to where is has been previously used, show the incidence of cancer and birth defects in populations to increase dramatically
https://www.aljazeera.com/features/2013/3/15/iraq-wars-legacy-of-cancer
Shouldn’t their use be prohibited in Ukraine?
TaiwanIsNotChina
So he's fine if the nukes go in Poland, the Baltics, and Ukraine, right?
Yuuju
Im telling ya all the sane world leaders at a times like this should just gang up asap and make a person who even dares to fantasize about nuclear weapons just stop talking nonsense
Cards fan
Conquer? Lol how is NATO conquering it's members? You have to apply to join NATO, which is more than one can saying about the oblasts in Ukraine which Russia forcefully annexed
Eastmann
good move.balance to be restored.

Bog standard Muscovy disinformation and misdirection. Absolute boll*cks spouted by the demented dwarf lurking in the kremlin basement.

What should we expect within two years in this warzone? If I had to guess, sometime in next year but it depends on many dynamic variables!
Russia will effectively partition, country using EMP weapons, that's been the plan all along. Corridors where life will be effectively impossible, which can easily be increased in width as needed.
At least it's a pathway to stop the war, as an open-ended scenario FAR worse. Putin will pitch it as a pathway to peace, non-kinetic, etc. Just wait, he'll propose a deadline and evacuation timeline first, humanitarian corridor etc.
Remember, it's not JUST your hopes or dreams, everyone has to understand the hopes and dreams of the OTHER side as well. Turns out their conviction is at least equally strong based on their experience and it's a view held by President Xi and many other world leaders, all of OPEC and many in media as well.
Takes 'two' to tango!, everyone should recognize that Ukraine is the 'outlier', Russia had great improving relations with generally ALL its other neighboring countries to include especially Finland, Norway, Sweden but even countries such as Iran, India, etc.
Anyone that believes Ukraine's leadership is in any fiduciary is ignoring the entire reality of ALL of Russia's OTHER neighbors prior to the invasion. This was a PROXY war of choice, VERY calculated.
No surprise the EU officially and publicly condemned the Ukrainian regime numerous times for antidemocratic behavior towards their ethic Russian minority, if Putin hadn't acted his approval rating would be similar to all his adversaries, or LESS than half of what it is today.
So sorry so many of you are so mind controlled, if you ever start to feel manipulated, stop and ask why, that's the best policy in life, especially regarding matters that put OUR existence in GRAVE danger!

Putin does have a point. But, oh, the irony.

Sabre-rattling is about all Putin seems able to do after his compete failure in Ukraine.

putin and his cabinet of dwarves no not, honor. They are riddles with jealousy and rage and paranoia

Leadership of China, India, Pakistan, Iran, Indonesia, ALL OF OPEC, most of Africa and South America express support for Putin/Russia, while much of Asia remains 'nuanced'...
Hardly classify him a rogue operator genocide man like those from WWII, read the EMP roadmap above, this conflict has always had the same outcome, Putin's just causing massive damage to the proxies, especially Inflation, he's toying around, it's been checkmate ENTIRE time.

Moral equivalency in war, what a concept, we're moral, you're not!

No they don't. Out of that list only Iran supports Russia.

Clay - Below are the countries that voted in favor of ES-11/1. Indonesia is in there, while the other countries you mentioned decided to abstain from voting. Make sure you get your facts straight, as the JT mods will delete posts for inaccurate information.

You know things are 'weird' when a subject like mass child starvation due to this conflict gets a '-' vote!
You see in this quest for the 'ring' of power, the Kremlin, NOTHING ELSE matters, certainly not mass child starvation!
Clay
Leadership is not some propaganda based western 'survey',
Your 'facts' are militarized pollution.
Xi and many other world leaders from India, Indonesia etc. have spoken PLENTY publicly, as have MANY leaders from Africa, South America, ENTIRE Middle East etc. Business/trade has never better with MANY of these countries

Russia is an awful country.
UChosePoorly
And yet Indonesia voted to tell Russia to get out of Ukraine. What do you make of that?
Clay
Do we live in a world of zero sum or nuance/truth?
It's clear this WAR/issue is TWO-WAY/Complex/Long Duration
Invasion was not a 'random' event, Putin came to power BECAUSE of this CORE issue - their Sovreignty/Existence
Turns out most Russians didn't want all these Outsiders insider their country, really not that complicated to understand.
UChosePoorly
Here are the 5 against votes, as well as the abstains and absents, in case anyone has forgotten.
Clay - if those countries you listed are such fervent supporters of the Russian invasion, why didn't they just do Russia a solid and vote "against"?

Called being 'politically correct'. EVERYONE wants peace, even Putin, so to say country representatives voted for peace...wow!
See EMP roadmap above, PEACE IS COMING

Sure. It was part of ongoing imperialism by Putin.
No he didn't. Putin came to power because Yeltsin was useless, but he wanted to keep his life after he gave up power.
Turns out Ukraine isn't Russia's country.
UChosePoorly
Just for the record, Austria also told Russia to get tf out of Ukraine.
Clay
Anyone seriously believe the UN? Cheap survey!
UN's just PC cover, nobody in their right supports war 'on the record' or hopefully even off the record!
wallace
What is that, and why the constant repeats?

Whats the big deal? Isnt this exactly what NATO were planning to do in Ukraine?

Yes it’s absolutely the NATO plan for Ukraine, I agree.

From your word salad comments, you're definitely not!!

What a despicable little man! Putin's actions are only going to make matters worse than they already are.
Superlib
I can't believe this war is still going on. I vastly overestimated Russia.
kurisupisu
This conflict was long in the making.
There was a catalyst that forced Russia into conflict.
Western Russia was being encircled by either American or NATO bases.
The possibility of equipping those bases with missiles (aimed at Russia) was all too evident to the Russians
Ukraine becoming a NATO member would pose a direct threat to Russia too
To imagine that this would not be considered threatening to to Russia is absurd
Ukraine will need to cede a large amount of land to Russia either willingly or not for this conflict to end
That is the reality
@Clay
You understand the situation exactly and have obviously spent a lot of time reading on the subject-thanks
Andy
Russia is merely doing what the USA have done for decades, nothing to be seen here.
Superlib
A defensive pact is a threat to Russia? Like, Ukraine was going to invade? LOL
Ouch.
FizzBit
By pathetic, you must be a full supporter of shock and awe tactics. Collateral Damage is NOT a fun action Schwarzenegger movie in Iraq or Afghanistan.
wallace
Russia is a vast country, the largest in the world. Why would Ukraine NATO be any more of a threat than all the NATO countries with borders with Russia?

That's not at all what he meant. I watched the interview. He was explaining why Austria wasn't giving arms to Ukraine and it's because they are neutral. But that doesn't mean that they don't support Ukraine. He said: "We are very clearly on one side."
He said: "We are not neutral in this war, and I call it the Russian war, not the Ukrainian war, because Russia started this invasion."
Paul
Almost every country near Russia has nuclear weapon systems! Crazy Vlad should remember that! Depleted uranium ammunition is very common!
