guys on photo enslave some 2.987.559.786+people... and they don’t want to stop there. Wars were fought to prevent guys like this from wielding that much power.

no one country in the world can simply ignore their power combined.

No one point of view represents their power combined (wave).

An international arrest warrant for Putin. Afraid to leave his country.

Leaders of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on Tuesday will hold an online summit hosted by India seeking to expand the influence of the Eurasian group by including Iran and opening a path to membership for Belarus.

Not sure what India gains from being associated with the axis of evil. Apart from cheap oil, perhaps.

Everybody is tired of USA hegemony over the planet. Good to see multipolar world shaping up.

The only other pole is China. If that is really who you want to look up to, I guess there is no accounting for taste.

The midget on the left has a warrant on his head if he leaves his country. And if he WERE to do so, it's unlikely his military would let him back in.

The guy on the right is in search of allies ever since his wolf-warrior diplomacy turned into Panda-puss platitudes (oh, and since he backed the loser on the left).

The guy in the middle is a flaw (to put it VERY mildly) character but seems to be useful to all (including the US).

So what’s your suggestion, Blacklabel?

stop hugging the person who is emboldening our enemies.

good place to start.

But you hug Trump with no questioning.

In the meantime China has occupied 2000 square kms of territory which India used to patrol earlier.

If Indians have the least bit of self respect they should kick Modi out next year and bring someone willing to show some spine to China.

Is that a picture of the major leaders from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization...

Or three of Trump's favorite "geniuses", BFFs, and business partners...

If it is online, is "attend" the right word or expression?

A fantastic opportunity for many countries to join a growing, dynamic, cooperative, non-bullying or coercive bloc that solves real problems in a practical way and doesn't suffer from the ingrained neo-colonial, garden-jungle mentality that plagues other organizations that treat entire countries, peoples and continents as second-class citizens.

That's great! Please tell me when such a bloc exists.

Belarus will sign a memorandum of obligations which will lead to its membership later.

One wonders what those obligations actually are?

gary

@Blacklabel Politics certainly makes strange bedfellow.

Didnt they make such a big deal out of NOT shaking the hand of MbS in Saudi?

Fist bump only, fist bump only. Joe! fist bump only! remember!

But then Biden was awkwardly hugging Modi and treating him like an old pal.

He even got to speak to the US Congress did he not?

Now 2 weeks later hes Chillin with Pootie and Pooh, our mortal enemies.

If you were paying attention we all said India will be India and should have gotten a respectful but not state visit.

Correct.American century is over.

The the American-led democracy millennium has just begun.

Sorry Fascists (and their fan bois). Your time on the world stage draws toward its dubious end.

2 ( +8 / -6 )

I would trust Modi about as far as I could throw him. As dangerous a man as Xi or Putin.

Not sure what India gains from being associated with the axis of evil.

It's not as simple as that.

India's membership in the SCO ensures that SCO will never be able to accomplish much.

Previously India has toned down the anti-West messaging that Russia and China have wanted to deliver after SCO summits.

Russia itself brought India into SCO because it was not willing to become a vassal state of China as far as dealing with the 'stans' of Central Asia was concerned.

good.

this is how "isolated" Russia without friends looks like.

This but unironically. Imagine having these countries as your "friends".

taiwan you are late.

and taiwan went buy obento as 12 hrs of trolling makes tired even him...

I'm still here for you.

Correct.American century is over.

Going to be tough for that to happen with Stock Market Up. Dollar Strong. Troops safe.

The Three Amigos. It's likely not so bad @EvilBuddha. Don't believe everything Palki is saying.

To refresh, the SOC is a Eurasian political, economic, international security and defence organization. It is the world's largest regional organization in terms of geographic scope and population, covering approximately 60% of the area of Eurasia, 40% of the world population. Its combined GDP is around 20% of global GDP.

Sounds like it exists to me.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

your response is sophomoric. The US needs India

yeah you mentioned that already as your opinion.

You dont need to publicly hug the guy and let him speak to Congress just because you need India.

We need Saudi too, dont we? dont we need China too, in reality?

fist bumpin' was the order of the day there from the handlers.

Huge error as 2 weeks later the hugger is chillin with our enemies (Yes Putin is an enemy of the USA. without a doubt, always has been- except for the embarrassing Clinton reset clock pandering during Obama time).

Biden got played. again.

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

hey thats the guy that Biden was hugging last month in the USA.

Why is he hosting an event with 2 of our biggest adversaries?

Yes, thus the button on MS Teams when you set one up says "invite attendees"

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

The summit takes place barely two weeks after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was hosted by U.S. President Joe Biden for a state visit, and the two countries called themselves "among the closest partners in the world".

That's a long time ago, Biden probably forgot all about it right after it was uttered

-9 ( +5 / -14 )

The Chinese leader should tell Mr.Modi in the virtual summit that India should get along with neighbour country Pakistan. China is very concerning the situation of Kashmir. Any attempts to change the "Line of Control" will met with China's response. And China is keen to provide weapons and ammunitions to Pakistan military to maintain a military balance. China will hand in 4 diesel electric submarines to Pakistan Navy, China hopes India will not using a pretext to escalate any an arms race in the region !
