A useless human being.

When Charles becomes king, that's when the road to a republic really begins. He hasn't got even half of his mother's brains, tact, diplomacy, common sense and no recognition that his role means he has to keep his nose out of politics and government business. His pet crackpot schemes that he wants the tax payer to fund, homeopathy amongst them, continues to piss off Britons.

@Pukey Yep. Also, the next in line to the throne has a bit of a habit of not following in his mother's footsteps by attempting to influence politicians.

We are told the royals are great ambassadors for the UK. If a non-royal ambassador had come out with any of the offensive quotes on Phillip's record, he or she would have been fired within days.

her ability not to do or say anything remotely controversial or even interesting is her 'achievement'.

Unlike her husband who has just about offended people of all nationalities and disabilities. Kinda like a royal version of Jeremy Clarkson.

Apart from my immediate family, it's only her and Bruce Forsyth that have been constants in my life. When HM and Brucie go you know the apocalypse is coming.

'Brenda is a sweet old dear, but what has she done thats noteworthy?'

I think Jeremy Paxman ( a tepid monarchist ) got it right when he said her ability not to do or say anything remotely controversial or even interesting is her 'achievement'.

In other words, she's been there and kept breathing longer than most English women.
