Rot starts at the top. Trump's bungling of the pandemic continues and will continue to harm the country long after he's gone. Trump played golf and rage tweeted while the country sank to its lowest level in decades.

I hardly think that one incident cited in this artical constitutes a slow, messy start.

Well, at least they are vaccinating, which is more than can be said for Japan.

Complainers gotta complain.

In the local vaccine building, there is room for about 30 people while keeping social distance rules.

That means only about 30 people can get shots each 30 minutes. That's 1200 people a day, if nothing causes the schedule to slip, which always happens. 1200/day responsible for about 700,000 people.

Soon, the 2nd shots will need to happen, doubling the need for space and people to handle the paperwork, shots, supplies, and crowd control. The 2nd shot line should go faster, since the paperwork should mostly be completed, but it will need to be matched with the 1st paperwork for each person.

Making certain that people don't leave before they should is probably harder than we think. I know that I wouldn't want to be stuck in a room fll of random people for 30 minutes. How much cleaning happens between each group?

My state has rural areas with surplus vaccine supplies. Rather than send those back to larger cities, they've altered the plan to allow vulnerable groups access a little sooner than planned, for those areas. Flexibility is good.

To get more people vaccinated, the state has enlisted typical places that do vaccinations into the next phase for the over 65 people as well. There are 8 of these places just a short distance from my home. Instead of just hospitals and county vaccine clinics, they will add most pharmacies, includng those in grocery stores too. Get the shot, do your weekly shopping (about 30 min), then leave. Solves 2 issues at once, at least for the shopper in the family. Take the whole famly this trip and again in 3 weeks. Vaccine done.

Flexibility is good. Would be great if the 2nd shot didn't need to happen at the same location, but paperwork probably requires that constraint. Perhaps we'll be able to get shots in May?

The sorry and sad legacy will keep on lingering. This Antichrist has lied about it, denied it was a problem, and stirred up ruckus and unrest during the year - making the pandemic even worse than it should've been. Is it any wonder that the US has the worst number of cases? How 'great' is that?

Operation Warp Speed, another pathetic Orwellian misanomer. If this is supposed to reflect enough power to drive a starship, the name is a total joke. How about calling it 'Operation Yugo Car' instead?

Operation Warped Seed.

The average person under 65 in Japan, even underlying conditions April or later. Ridiculous.

The Trump vaccine

So that’s where he’s been - in the laboratory, tirelessly working on a cure.

He’s up there with the North Korean leadership with his various skills!

Why anyone expected this rollout to be handled competently at the tail end of the Trump administration is beyond me. We've had 4 years - if not 4 decades - to learn that all he does is lie, steal, over-promise and under-deliver.

I wonder if Americans are tired of winning yet?

The vaccine was produced by two Pharma with German money nothing to do with Trump who's own idea for a vaccine was bleach, which was rejected by the CRC.
