The right attacks minorities because they are desperate to feel superior to someone. These guys, who do it hardest, show exactly why they are desperate to have that feeling.

Sometimes unpopular speech is unpopular for good reasons, but even if I don't like what someone has to say, they should still be free to say it to whoever will listen. We just don't need to listen.

Extremism (on either end) is the path to disaster. It pulls societies apart, because extremists always have an unbalanced and unreasonable position. Since they are at the extreme, in their eyes, everyone else is the enemy. So the less influence extremists have, the better. Balanced societies are stable societies.
