Major victory. Well done.

coke isn't really a problem in Australia as it is mostly used by affluent, well-educated people, a minority of the population. essentially a wanker's drug. It doesn't cause the sort of destruction that alcohol and amphetamines do which are more affordable and readily available.

I think the Heroin is a much bigger problem.
The first time I walked out of my hotel in Cairns, some obvious wasteoid was falling all over himeself in the gutter right down the street. His girlfriend was in no better shape, but at least she was still standing.

"With high street prices making Australia an attractive destination for drug-smugglers,"
This bust might actually cause coke prices to get a little further bump.
“We hope that this operation sends a strong message to anyone thinking of smuggling drugs: no matter how innovative or complex their ways are, our evolving detection methods and resources, including at sea, will keep up with them,” said Australian Federal Police deputy commissioner of operations Michael Outram. "
I bet this bust was like .05% of the total amount of cocaine sold in Oz in the past year. The gov't shoud focus more on job creation to lower demand for coke.

wasn’t there just recently another "record cocaine bust" in Australia??
Madverts
Agreed. The real title should be "record amounts of bugle being tooted worldwide".
It should be legal and TAXED. Give the people what they want. But they won't, because it's the government(s) that control the trillion dollar a year cash industry.
