These people are next level crazy. Maybe they could claim insanity at trial. I'd support it.

Really? Any proof? Without proof, it's just an assumption.

Well, as a Trump supporter, I think this here article is hogwash...
First of all, it wasn't President Trump who spoke to the crowd before these riots - it was Hillary in a Trump mask. Get a voice analyzer - it will prove it...
And none of those proud, patriotic Trump supporters walked down to the Capital - they got in their pickup trucks and went home - the Antifa, Leftists, Alien Lizards came out from the backstreets and they went and caused all this damage and chaos... If you saw Trump banners and Confederate flags, that was just Bill Gates beaming those into your head.
I have my MAGA hat lined with tin foil - he isn't foolin' me...

That's why they listed the proof in the article.

Far right loonies have long been a reality in the US. Now many of them look to Russia, among the most far right nations and its autocrat Putin; they see that as the system of government they prefer. The wanted their Trump to be a leader for life (or until 2036) ala Putin.
Among the far right extremists are those who say 'I'd rather be Russian than Democrat', have nazi tattoos and wave confederate flag. That they're aided by the Republican Party says how far right the R's have shifted.
It's no surprise the far right media are trying to convince their followers the violence was done by Antifa and BLM supporters. And given the far right do not believe 'western' intelligence, believe instead what Tucker, Hannity, Qanon, RT and others tell them, disbelieve what US agencies have determined.

Cleveland Grover Meredith Jr. The pardons aren’t meant for the likes of you. You got done played.

I do NOT believe ALL of the 74 million who voted for Trump are in any of the above groups.
However, I've long believed - based on nothing more than gut sense as an American who grew up with, went to school with, and worked with other Americans that 35% of my fellow citizens are 'fundamentalists', i.e. fall into one of the above groups. Do the math - that's still a lot. And the largest number of them come from the largest ethnic demographic.

All this empirical proof; the videos, the confessions, the social media posts, are really making it tough for the Trump supporters and the far-right media cabal that feeds them...
On the one hand, you have them returning to the old deny reality standby; it was Antifa, the Leftists, BLM....
But others are standing up and saying how proud they are of these pro-Trump "warriors"...."fighting" as Trump directed them to do...
Just check out Fox - they don't know what to say - half of their talking heads say it was Antifa and the other half call them far-right patriots...
Of course everyone in the real world knows exactly what they are - pro-Trump domestic terrorists and insurrectionists...

Note to self: When planning to commit a felony, don’t post your plans on-line.
When committing a felony DO NOT DOCUMENT the commission of said crime on a digital device ( a face mask might help, and not just for COVID).
When seeking to return to anonymity, DO NOT SHARE evidence of criminal activity on-line.
Jeez, these goobers are so unintelligent, they might need to be reminded to breathe once in a while.

It could be possible that those who took selfies and posted them on social media were convinced their Trump would pardon them. Or they were just thick. But in addition to security identifying them, there are individuals scanning those pictures plus getting information from Parler and other extremist sites then sending that to the criminal's employers, including police departments. Stupid is as ...

Just imagine how thick one would have to be to believe that the Federal Government is secretly run by a cabal of Satan-worshiping child-trafficking pedophiles (out of a pizza parlor no less).
I guess fact-free claims of massive voter fraud wouldn’t seem unreasonable.
Never mind the fact that it would require the cooperation of Republican poll workers in multiple states without anyone blabbing about it. But don’t worry morons, er “Patriots “, Q is on the case.
The mind boggles.....

And they exposed themselves to the security cameras and by massing together they endangered themselves by exposing themselves to CoVid superspreader. Then they spread it on their relatives and others around them. IDIOTS, DUMMIES, IMBECILES!!!!

The Trump base of stable geniuses still have not caught on to the fact that posting threats of violence on online forums and livestreaming yourself committing crimes is not the best plan for clandestine operations.

@BigYen,
I forgot about the cannibalism. Thanks for the reminder.

Arrest the violent ones and the ones who destroyed property. However, the vast majority of protestors were peaceful citizens exercising their First Amendment rights.
The continued deminization of conservatives, which started with Trumps election, also adds to the problem.

Cant wait to see him get kicked out!!!

Just thick.

Word is Chump set up some sting operation in the storm on capitol. He deserves to be impeached.
It’s fine to be a conservative but to have chosen and to continue to support Trump shows how the Republican Party is lacking.

Smith I think you will find that in the summer, I denounced the rioters and not the legit protestors. A few idiots entered the Capitol, and a few of them destroyed property and fought with police. The others stayed outside at the scheduled rally that was taking place.
As for demonization of liberals, I am not sure where that happens, Not in academia, not in media, not in the entertainment industry, certainly not in big tech. On an individual level, of course. But their voices are not silenced, they are not being deplatformed or demonetized or chased from their jobs.
The biggest difference I see is that most right wingers like me think that lefties are wrong. We don't think they are evil, or racist, or stupid, but we do think they are wrong. Same can't be said the other way around.
