The coward who cried wolf, IMO.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Only if Mexico would pay for the wall, it would reach the Dems!

1 ( +1 / -0 )

He should do it !

Why do US citizens and international travelers have to go through so much hassle at immigration and customs?

It insane to harass and intimidate those who follow the rules and reward those who ignore them.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

I won’t visit the US under the draconian immigration practices in place.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Go for it Donnie - two years to build your "beautiful wall" and not one brick laid - another campaign lie...

Every government shutdown has been blamed on the Republicans, so go "full ignorant" Donnie and show us all how to to lose the Senate and the Presidency in 2020, so we can get some adults back into government...

8 ( +8 / -0 )

What kind of president talks gleefully about forcing the shut down of his own government???

Please shut it down. Prove once and for all that you are fundamentally incapable of running the nation to the few remaining people who haven't already figured it out already. They may not understand much, but when they stop receiving their government welfare (in whatever form it takes) see how long they stick with you.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

A government shutdown? The government has been in paralysis ever since Trump took office.

Perhaps he could shut himself down. That would be a major improvement.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Go for it Donnie - two years to build your "beautiful wall" and not one brick laid - another campaign lie...

Wouldn't have been if the Democrats would have fully funded it.

Every government shutdown has been blamed on the Republicans,

Yes, but now with the influx of illegals threatening to invade the country by storming our borders and Americans now worried about the illegals which jumped from 13% to 21% think it’s a very serious issue.and now that the Dems will control the House that blame game will change, just like the last shutdown didn’t work so well for the Democrats as they thought it would, now the pressure is even greater for them.

so go "full ignorant" Donnie and show us all how to to lose the Senate and the Presidency in 2020, so we can get some adults back into government...

Oh, I doubt that, but the way the Democrats are going, they are already setting themselves up for a blistering defeat within the next two years.

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

Except for the military, a government shutdown in the US is just that - perfect time to make a run for an unmanned or under-manned border.

Stupid Trump!

bass4funk: "Wouldn't have been if the Democrats would have fully funded it."

Haha. So, it "wouldn't have been" a campaign lie if the Democrats would have fully funded the wall that Trump promised in his campaign Mexico would fully pay for? Guess that would just make it a different lie, then. Oops!

4 ( +5 / -1 )

bass4funk: "Oh, I doubt that, but the way the Democrats are going, they are already setting themselves up for a blistering defeat within the next two years."

You said that about the House not long ago. Oops, again!

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Haha. So, it "wouldn't have been" a campaign lie if the Democrats would have fully funded the wall that Trump promised in his campaign Mexico would fully pay for?

In exchange, Trump was supposed to legalize the DACA dreamers, Schumer didn’t fund the wall and the dreamers are still dreaming.

Guess that would just make it a different lie, then. Oops!

Yes, Schumer lied to the dreamers

One thing you can always count on with Trumpers, even thought they controlled the Presidency and had majorities in both Houses of Congress, its the Democrats fault Trump's "Wonder Wall" wasn't built. Same with repeal and replace Obamacare. Notice how they ignore all of their own Republicans who they couldn't convince to sign on?

Let me introduce you to a period - it goes at the end of a sentence, unless you're a stream of consciousness talker like Trump. More to the point, you're arguing against history, and your President is upside down in support; 55 vs 41. Go for it - shut down the nations's parks, social security offices, VA hospitals - you'll hand the election to the Democrats...

so go "full ignorant" Donnie and show us all how to to lose the Senate and the Presidency in 2020, so we can get some adults back into government...

Only if Putin interfere's again and enough Trumpers continue to be manipulated by all the Russian authored disinformation - are you going to fall for it Bass?

5 ( +5 / -0 )

The executive branch is only 1 of the 3 branches of the federal government. Trump obviously did not pay attention at school.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

The caravan is not from Mexico. So Mexico is being collectively punished as well as Americans. Instead of a wall, immigration processing should be increased.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

One thing you can always count on with Trumpers, even thought they controlled the Presidency and had majorities in both Houses of Congress, its the Democrats fault Trump's "Wonder Wall" wasn't built.

Ok, so the Dems won’t support full funding for the wall, but when Trump doesn’t legalize close to a million DACA dreamers it’s “his” fault? Define-liberal logic.

Same with repeal and replace Obamacare. Notice how they ignore all of their own Republicans who they couldn't convince to sign on?

Thank God the Republicans got rid of that dreaded mandate.

More to the point, you're arguing against history, and your President is upside down in support; 55 vs 41.

Which technically is not that bad at all, you should see Macron’s numbers....yikes!

Go for it - shut down the nations's parks, social security offices, VA hospitals - you'll hand the election to the Democrats...

I doubt It, there isn’t a Democrat out that’s for deregulation, lowered taxes and supporting small businesses. Remember, that last shutdown didn’t go the way the Democrats wanted it. Be careful what you wish for.

Only if Putin interfere's again and enough Trumpers continue to be manipulated by all the Russian authored disinformation - are you going to fall for it Bass?

The way the liberals slept on 20% of US Uranium being sold to the Russians? Collusion....

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

The quantity of government shut downs Trump keeps threatening is just increasingly showing his ineptitude as POTUS. How many times did he do this in a YEAR?

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Ok, so the Dems won’t support full funding for the wall, but when Trump doesn’t legalize close to a million DACA dreamers it’s “his” fault? Define-liberal logic.

"But when..." - that's a dodge - the subject was blaming Democrats when Republicans couldn't get enough of their own to pass it when they were in the majority... It's called failing...

Thank God the Republicans got rid of that dreaded mandate.

The promise for 8 years was "Repeal and Replace" - another pledge unfulfilled...because you couldn't get enough Republicans to go along when they were in the majority... More failing...

More to the point, you're arguing against history, and your President is upside down in support; 55 vs 41.

Which technically is not that bad at all, you should see Macron’s numbers....yikes!

I guess only in Trumpworld when 55% of Americans think you're incompetent, it's "not that bad..."

The issue is a shutdown - and I imagine Ryan and McConnell and saying "be careful" to Trump...

Only if Putin interfere's again and enough Trumpers continue to be manipulated by all the Russian authored disinformation - are you going to fall for it Bass?

The way the liberals slept on 20% of US Uranium being sold to the Russians? Collusion....

Yep, you fell for it...

"But when..." - that's a dodge - the subject was blaming Democrats when Republicans couldn't get enough of their own to pass it when they were in the majority... It's called failing...

So the Democrats failed Trump and the Dreamers, sad.

The promise for 8 years was "Repeal and Replace" - another pledge unfulfilled...because you couldn't get enough Republicans to go along when they were in the majority... More failing...

Blame McCain.

I guess only in Trumpworld when 55% of Americans think you're incompetent, it's "not that bad..."

45% is way, way better than 28% and that’s bad, so from that point 45% is pretty good.

The issue is a shutdown - and I imagine Ryan and McConnell and saying "be careful" to Trump...

At this point and with what’s at stake, I don’t think so, last time it didn’t hurt them, so this time, they should have that cat in the bag.

Yep, you fell for it...

No, but apparently, liberals have.

Supposedly it was the Mexicans who were going to fund it.

But that’s not how it happened? By the way, how is the status of the dreamers?

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Im pretty happy that Trump's wall has been a failure. It probably keeps him up at night.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

It's not how it was ever going to happen, and since you mention it, the wall wasn't going to happen either.

Wrong again.

*President Trump has a choice. Democrats in Congress have offered to provide billions of dollars for one of his signature campaign proposals: a wall** (or something akin to it) along the U.S.-Mexico border. But in exchange, they want a provision that would grant protection from deportation and create a path to citizenship for young undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children. In other words: Trump can have the wall, but he must accept what his political base will very likely call an “amnesty.” Or, he can pass on the whole thing.*

I’m just happy the military will be down there in full force.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

But in exchange, they want a provision that would grant protection from deportation and create a path to citizenship for young undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children.

The DACAs? A majority of Americans support a pathway to citizenship for this group, including a large chunk of Republicans.

Why are you getting in the way of that? Makes no sense.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Insane people don't make sense.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

And the vast majority of Americans living along the border want a wall. As long as the Dems don’t give Trump funding for the wall, then the dreamers will have to be patient and wait a long time....a very long time.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

And the vast majority of Americans living along the border want a wall.

Prove it.

And don't give me some useless "I used to live in California" crap. I currently live in Arizona near the border, not twenty years ago part-time.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Prove it.

What are you talking about? There were NO massive protests along the border of Americans that opposed it. Look, I know Mother Jones is trying to push that progressive narrative saying otherwise, but more and more people are wanting that wall and fast.

And don't give me some useless "I used to live in California" crap. I currently live in Arizona near the border, not twenty years ago part-time.

Good.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

One thing I love about the wall is that it provides such a great example of just how much a failure is. It was his main campaign promise, that he has been entirely unable to do anything about - even when his party held both houses. How much of a failure do you have to be to be unable to push through your primary campaign promise when you're the president with your party holding both houses? The answer is you have to be a complete and abject failure.

Did you hear? Dave finally got his dream job, but he totally Trumped, and two days after they hired him, they let him go for being incompetent. What a Trump!

1 ( +1 / -0 )

"But when..." - that's a dodge - the subject was blaming Democrats when Republicans couldn't get enough of their own to pass it when they were in the majority... It's called failing...

??? More dodge - the issue was Republicans failing Republicans...

The promise for 8 years was "Repeal and Replace" - another pledge unfulfilled...because you couldn't get enough Republicans to go along when they were in the majority... More failing...

Blame McCain.

I don't blame him - and see above, he's a Republican that didn't support Republicans....failing....

I guess only in Trumpworld when 55% of Americans think you're incompetent, it's "not that bad..."

45% is way, way better than 28% and that’s bad, so from that point 45% is pretty good.

??? I haven't the faintest idea what you said - was that intended?

The issue is a shutdown - and I imagine Ryan and McConnell and saying "be careful" to Trump...

At this point and with what’s at stake, I don’t think so, last time it didn’t hurt them, so this time, they should have that cat in the bag.

Really? Quinnipiac UniversityJanuary 19–23, 2018: Who's responsible for shutdown: Trump/Repubs: 49%, Demos: 32%. Again, go for it Donnie - it will make the Blue Wave a tsunami....

Yep, you fell for it...

No, but apparently, liberals have.

Really? Even your favorite channel says it's a hoax...yep, you fell for it again...

Wouldn't have been if the Democrats would have fully funded it.

There are soooooooo many reasons why this would never happen:

1) The Democrats never campaigned on the wall

2) The Democrats are not morons who think a wall will be effective

3) The Republicans don't even agree with the wall - why would the Democrats?

4) Eight years of obstruction and belligerence by the right during the Obama administration has poisoned the idea of any kind of conciliatory actions by Democrats

5) Not supporting the wall points a spotlight on Trump's incompetence as a leader

6) Obstruction has been shown by the right to be a winning strategy, so supporting the wall would be working against the Democratic interests of taking back the white house

If you are holding out hope that the Democrats are going to suddenly support this boondoggle, you're as deluded as... a Republican!
