Scores of hooded anarchists launched projectiles at riot police, smashed up shop fronts, torched cars and burned barricades during a demonstration

The first line in the article sets the bias in the readers minds from the start.

In short, the reader is supposed to walk away from the article thinking, "Oh, these protestors in France are all bad"

France trying to have a security law like the CCP-Chinese inflicted on Hong Kong?

Kill that legislation. Rework it to protect legal protests, hold bad Police accountable, and provide good police with protection.

The French riot police have always been heavy handed. I remember the CRS from May 1968 when there was massive worker and student strikes.

A rare occasion where I agree with one of your post BB. The police in France and the political system is far too close for my liking, any closer and France will become an authoritarian country.

It’s worse. Chinese security forces may arrest lawbreakers but they don’t beat people up or murder them. France has long been a colonial regime change, human rights abusers in many countries outside France, but now they are doing it to their own citizens.

Is this because the police attacked a guy in his studio then lied about it and got caught as he had cctv to prove it. If this cannot be shared does this mean police are allowed to do this? With no recourse if found to lie in these cases?

The Covid-19 is seasonal, all four of them alone! But it may be more dangerous to get sick during the winter because of the other lung diseases that crop up. It is extremely painful for many patients to recover from a Covid-19 infection and some stay in hospital with their lungs severely weakened for many months.
