Rep Giffords to resign from Congress this week

Hats off to that lady. What a fighter.

She is an inspiration to all of us.

She is still strong as saying "I am getting be-tter. Yes, I am getting much be-tter" Gabby, you will be getting better and stronger. Thank you for your hard work.. We love ya.

Regardless of one's political stance, you cannot but respect this woman. Good luck in your retirement and continued recovery.

Just watched her resignation video on youtube, she is truly inspirational who seems to have made significant steps in her recovery. Can only hope that she continues to recover and can fulfil her wish to return.

Not that any truly should be shot in the head, but it usually seems to happen to those who deserve it least. I feel so sorry for her, because true recovery I know is an impossibility.

Indeed a remarkable and courageous woman. If only more politicians could follow suit.

Had to laugh after checking other sources, the 1PercentMedia just can't help themselves and have clipped this courageous woman's speech:

I'm glad that she and her husband took the time they needed to decide that despite the desire to continue in public service the stress and the strain would have hinder her time to work on her recovery and would more than likely hinder it.

I wish her and husband a heartfelt peace now away from the tempest that is called the political arena and hope that if she and her husband ever do wish to return to it that a seat there will always be reserved for her by the good voters of Arizona.

Honestly I wonder if she will ever fully recover from being shot in the head as she was. While I would have been happy to see her lose an election, to have anyone, but especially a outstanding lady such as Gabby Giffords, be forced to retire because of an attempted assassination is truly a tragedy, regardless of your political affiliation.

What she isn't is a to be tool to dragged into a debate. It's a shame some of us don't have the class to leave politics out of it and can't just with the woman well. Shame on those people. They know who they are.
