In the past, it was far-left commies trying to bring down democracies

Nowadays, it's the far-right supremacists

They're trying to stage like Jan 6th in Germany

DT,these are straight up racist,do not try too rationalize it,

There is more to it. That racism has roots in economics and a feeling of being left behind. When times are good and opportunities abound you don't see this sort of thing. For many people adversity brings out the best in them but sadly for others adversity bring out the worst in human nature.

There seems to be among the worlds developed nations large numbers of individuals who feel alienated from their respective societies. It is not a problem confined to one nation but seems to be a problem common to the developed world. I think a big part of the problem is the work-life balance. Too much work, too little time with family or to rejuvenate. Everyone wants more stuff and works overtime to afford it. Likewise companies want to push employees to work more hours rather than hire more employees working fewer hours. I get that this is cheaper for firms but all of this is, I think, making us sick in our hearts. Life has to be about more that just working and paying the bills.

The Government is treating Q-anon as a terrorist organization.

That is appropriate here. It's not their utterly nutty ideas (although they are just so dumb, it causes one to question the basic cognition of its adherents). It's their willingness to conspire to carry out violence to get their way.

Yes, that’s indeed weird and funny, thousands of police against a twenty something of crazy people. A German newspaper commenter wrote that all wouldn’t arise or happen if they had put the thousands of police at securing the borders instead. Difficult to disagree with that statement from a still not raided and normal but surely similarly angry citizen.

Looks like the Germans have the right idea about how to deal with anti-democratic fascist nutjobs.

Where democracy retreats, or suppressed (eg USA right now), extreme ideology rises.

These people are fascists and have no belief in any form of democracy electing themselves as the only ones capable of ruling the country.

They have earned prison terms. Conspiracy is a crime.

In a democracy, the people by election choose their government.

How dangerous are Germany's far-right Reichsbürger?

"A real coup d'état can hardly succeed in Germany, as the state order and the constitution are too solid for that, but these people believe it is possible. That shows how caught up they are in their delusion."

If the conditions in the world the last few years have taught us anything, it is that leading countries using representatives, accountable to the people, requires defending.

Democracy isn't the normal state of leading a country, based on history. The Greeks are usually said to have been the first representative democracy, but we forget that only lasted about 2 centuries.

It has been said that democracy is the worst form of Government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time; but there is the broad feeling in our country that the people should rule, and that public opinion expressed by all constitutional means, should shape, guide, and control the actions of Ministers who are their servants and not their masters.

These traitors hate democracy, despise freedom, and would do better living in real paradises like Russia, Iran, China or NK. It appears their model government is an absolute monarchy backed by military.

Lock them away for the rest of their lives. Forbid any internet usage.
