You stay classy, China. No antagonistic moves going on here.

And the difference between China in the South Pacific as compared to the United States and England in Deigo Garcia? Building runways and removing the Chagossians.

The UK has occupied Diego Garcia for 200 years and its use as a military base threatens no one. By contrast China has occupied this Reef for like two years and its use threatens everone.

Diego Garcia, smack dabb in the middle of the Indian Ocean, serves as a critical strategic point for the USN 5th & 7th fleets.

Guess China is trying stake a claim in their regional waters. No biggy.

The US should commit to giving zero notification to China when it sends its ships and aircraft through the SCS and to blowing any oil rigs or fishing vessels out of the water that it finds in that region. Then China can enjoy its miniature islands.

If China can do this, Japan and USA can do it. Build an island and get the USA out of Okinawa. Maybe closer to either NK or China so that the Osprey can land. Right now it can only land on Japanese territory. Build it, and they (USA) will come..

One difference is that you probably don't mention China in articles talking about the US and the UK in Diego Garcia.

This might be a time when the governments in SE Asia put some of their differences aside. China will just keep building unless something stops them.

If there was oil there... It would be a much bigger problem

China doesnt have any rights to claim those islands.
